Harwoods HoleJanuary 11 in New Zealand ⋅ ☀️ 26 °C
Harwoods Hole was another stop on my to go list from Stuart.
The 11 km long gravel road to there was not so funny. Very narrow and not easy to drive at all.
Also at Harwoods Hole a part of the Hobbit was filmed, but no one is really pointing this out, because they don't want so many people to go there because of the bad road.
I would probably not been stopping here, if Stuart don't told me too.
It is an incredible place. The walk to the hole was very easy in the beginning and was then getting a little bit more challenging the more rocks was laying around on the path. But it was amazing to stand on the edge of the hole and look up on the walls and down into the hole.
I then also climbed up to the viewpoint where I had an amazing view over the valley.Read more
