Walking on Urupukapuka islandNovember 1, 2016 in New Zealand ⋅ ☀️ 18 °C
Probably one of the best points in the bay to have a 360degree view of all islands. With perfect weather it has been spectacular walk. The only dent in the afternoon was the concerns my dear girlfriend had about the water depths... Our boat needed maybe 50cm water depth minimum underneath for swimming.
But we anchored three some fears about 400meter away from the beach which I ha dof course tp rudder us in. On top of that Corinna noticed nearly almost being on top of the island mountain that our boat seems to be that damn far of the bay of the island we were walking on, that the anchor might have become loose!
In the end, this wasn't the case, but instead we could have just driven 200meters closer to the shore.Read more
