    Took a nap for a few hours, and then set out for drinks and dinner.

    Our first stop was at Barcelona's main craft brewing bar, Abirradero. Their on-tap selection was not shabby, but I saw a gem on their bottled menu. They almost refused to sell it to us, because the "best by" date had passed ~2 months ago, but I convinced them to take my money and let us have it. Well worth the effort.

    We figured out the metro and made our way to dinner at Llamber, and every single thing we had was fantastic. We were pleasently surprised to see that the restaurant made good cocktails. Laura liked hers so much she got the same thing the second time around.

    Bellies full, headed back to the hotel to get out first full night's sleep in a few days.

    29 May Barcelona Montserrat Visit

    Slept well and enjoyed substantial included breakfast complete with custom scrambled eggs. Spent a wonderful day at Montserrat which is the second most important catholic pilgrimage site in Spain but also has incredible rock formations and walks.
    Back to Barcelona and hunted down the Dow Jones Bar in Carrer de Bruc. Temporary issue for a capiroska with shortage of limes but order was filled at EUR5.95, then the price was up to 6.45. Barman said its all “run by the software”.
    Other interesting fashion shops in the same street catering to wholesale trade but also allows retail.
    Tapas for dinner at Santa Caterina including octopus, pesto and white beans.

    Jetlag in Barcelona

    Coffee at Cafe El Born with Pam and Howatd then I checked into Music VII apartment at Carer Mere des Alts 21.
    Then back to Pam and Howard at the cafe, picked up mascapone croissants from Hoffmans and checked them into Espateria.
    Walked round El Born to Santa Maria del Mar, Via Montcada and Palau de Musica Catalan.
    John and Udi arrived at 5pm, had a red wine in the apartment, then dinner at the galician Bar Celto Pulperia. Soft octopus, padron peppers, chorizo, morcilla (black sausage) and white wine drunk in small white bowls.

    Day 10 | Pisa to Barcelona, Spain

    On to another country. We spent lots of time in Italy and absolutely loved it. We are boarding the plane from Pisa (12:30 pm) and heading out to Barcelona, Spain. New country, new adventure.

    Settled into the hotel (Confortel) and went out for a stroll to the beach and around the town. Super crowded! Fun to people watch.

    Came back and washed clothes in the bathtub and went to bed.
