      Le crêpage de chignons

      Ce matin réveil 7h30. On s’habille, petit dej, check out et c’est parti pour louer notre vroum-vroum. On avait repéré une petit madame toute mimi qui en louait pas trop chers. Arrivée là-bas, une autre dame nous demande si on veut un scooter, alors on dit oui🤷🏼‍♀️ Elle nous dit le même prix, commence à nous le sortir etc et là la dame d’hier arrive. On pensait qu’elle serait contente de voir qu’on soit revenues, mais elle n’a pas l’air. En fait, on commence à comprendre que ces petites dames sont placées au même endroit mais en fait c’est pas la même « enseigne », si on peut dire ça comme ça. Du coup, on dit à l’autre qu’on veut pas de son scooter, on veut donner les sous à celle d’hier. Bah on a vu notre première dispute de viet!!! On pensait jusque-là qu’ils étaient tous copain copines, qu’ils s’entre-aidaient toujours mais apparemment c’est pas tant le monde des bisounours.
      Bon finalement on a un scooter rouge et pas blanc, et c’est bien tout ce que ça change pour nous. Aujourd’huiii, c’est rivièreeee 💦 On croyait qu’on avait une petite rando pour accéder aux trous d’eau mais finalement c’est tout proche de l’entrée du parc, et tout est tout aménagé. C’est super mimi. Il fait super chaud donc on est bien contentes de se baigner rapidement ! On « teste » les 3 « lacs » comme ils disent. C’est 3 niveaux dans la cascade donc on se baigne, on remarche un peu et ainsi de suite. On pique-nique et c’est déjà l’heure d’y aller.
      Direction l’hôtel pour récupérer nos valises et marcher jusqu’au départ du bus. On y arrive, après nos 40min de marche qui paraissaient 3h, en plein cagnard (Pour info, Cha a atteint la pire odeur qu’elle peut avoir selon elle). Souvent on peut prendre notre bus à différents endroits dans la ville alors on choisit le plus proche, et un minivan nous amène au « vrai » bus. Mais aujourd’hui on nous dit qu’il fallait être là 1h30 avant l’horaire du bus pour partir van. Qui se retrouve à payer un taxi alors qu’on vient de marcher 40min exprès pour ne pas en prendre? C’est bien nous… Bon au moins on a eu notre bus pour Dalat. 🚌
      La route est sinueuse, ça bouge beaucoup mais on a un bus couchette de luxe et on arrive plus tôt que prévu. On voit plein de serres illuminées dans le paysage. Ça a l’air mimi cet endroit.
      On arrive à l’auberge, on nous accueille à 100 à l’heure, c’est bien vivant ! On a une petite chambre privée dans un dortoir, pour le prix d’un lit en dortoir. Il y a une grande piscine, une salle de sport, un rooftop, des smoothies et cafés pas chers… On est heureuses. En plus, c’est ici qu’on va rester le plus longtemps. On nous propose même de manger gratuitement les restes du repas de ce soir. On a une belle plâtrée de riz avec du tofu, un peu de viande et des légumes (dont de la citrouille et des haricots verts, chose que Cha n’avait pas mangé depuis des siècles).
      Et maintenant faut essayer de dormir avec tous ces jeunes qui font la fête en bas, alala ces jeunes… 😘

      Wies verlangt wird simmer den um die 20:00 Uhr, also e Stund zfrüeh am „Busbahnhof“ gsi. Da simmer vo ihheimische Chind mit Spieli guet unterhalte worde und somit isch die Wartezit au wie im Flug vergange.🥰
      Luschtig, dFreud ah dem Nachtbus wird aber immer chliner. Bi de erschte Fahrt hemmer üses Glück mit dem ultra coole Bus fascht nöd chöne fasse und hüt stigmer mit Bedenke in Bus ih und hoffet, dass die Nacht oder anderscht gseit die lange 9 Stunde schnell und ohni Zwüschefall vergönd und mir wenns ganz guet chunt, viellicht no es paar Stündli schlafe chönd.🥲

      Trotzdem spart mer eso extrem viel Zit wemmer über dNacht chan witerreise. Mir nutzet die Zit de Tag dur lieber umno viel meh Ihdrück vo dem beidruckende Land und dere spannende Kultur zgseh. Mir fokussieret üs uf Ihdrück wo üsi Auge zum strahle bringet, uf all die Moment wo üs es Lächle is Gsicht zauberet und eifach uf die gmeinsami Zit wo mir i vollschte Züg gnüsset, üs erfüllt und zfriede stellt.❤️ Usserdem sind mir devo überzoge dassmer eso am meischte chan erlebe und was gits schöners als all die Erinnerige & Ihdrück derfe mitheizneh? 🫶

      Taxifahrt uf zwei Räder. 🛵

      Au wenn das mitm pfuse on the way nöd ganz klappet het hends den am Morge am viertel ab 4 alli Lüt & de ganz Grümpel usem Bus gschmisse und denn het niemert meh so richtig gwüsst was jetzt lauft. (siehe Föteli vo de Manu so i dem Sinn; Ich krache jede Moment zemme hahah) dManu & ich hend üs den mal uf dSuechi nacheme WC gmacht, da ja en WC Stopp nach 5.5 Stund zviel verlangt gsi wer. dNicole isch i dere Zit eifach no seeleruhig im Bus höckle bliebe bis si vomne Vietnames im Bus ine mehrfach i verschiedene Lutstärkene uf vietnamesisch ahgschroue und uf irgendöpis higwiese worde isch und sie nur „Minivan, Minivan“ verstande het, het sie den ihres Züg packt und uf üs vorem Bus gwartet.😂 All andere Lüt hends ines chliners Büsli verfrachtet aber i dem hend mir kei Platz meh gha. Spöter isch den nomal es chlises Büsli cho wo üs für es churzes Stückli mitgno het and ahschlüssend ah drü Rollerfahrer übergeh het. Mitm Backpack ufm Rugge hend mir also je bimne Rollerfahrer hinedruf derfe sitze. Die Taxifahrt uf zwei Räder weli direkt in Sunneufgang gfüehrt het, het üs schön Spass gmacht. 🌞 Wo die drü Herre üs den bim Hotel abglade hend und verhältnismässig viel zviel Geld verlangt hend, wo mir nöd mal debi gha hend isch üs denn sLache vergange. De eint Rollerfahrer het den druf bestande dassi mit ihm zum Bankomat fahre und ihm ihres gwünschte Geld die 1,5 Mio Vietnamesischi Dong uselah.       In Nha Trang haben wir uns die Überbleibsel alter Cham Tempel angeschaut, sowie der großen Buddha Statue bei der Long-Sơn Pagode einen Besuch abgestattet. Ansonsten haben wir ausgiebig das ausgekostet, wofür Nha Trang wohl am bekanntesten ist - am Strand gammeln.Read more

      Mr. Huang

      Continuing on our motorcycle trip, we went deeper into a village to have a chat with the Chief. As usual, Young completely undersold this event. Mr. Huang served as a paratrooper in the Vietnam war, a Red Beret. He started by getting all of us involved in making a local drink: muddled mint, lemongrass, and lime in the glass, with a mixer of hand squeezed lime, 7Up, sugar, topped off lemon grass stalk with a crushed end. We did the work, he directed us, so the mood was quite festive... Until we understood who he was and we became quite somber as he shared his story. He had fond memories of his American counterparts who trained him in the 5th battalion in Airborne. The men had 4 cigarettes with each meal, and he would smoke with his fellow military partners. But he went on to describe the hardship of when the 'Americans left .' He spent 6 months in a re-education camp and knew of others who were kept 5-10 years. Bottom line, he shared his opinion that we never should have gotten involved, as this country has been dealing with internal conflict for centuries.Read more

      DUCK!!! ... Where?!

      Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang (Vietnam)

      We're transferring a sick Noblet to a different hospital today as HCMC doesn't seem to be working for him.

      So we fly to Nha Trang (1hr flight 1.5hr delay). During the delay we both enjoy team Chunder in the airport facilities. Noblet learns of more difficulties of maintaining a beard when I explain to him that only Mr Twitt keeps vomit in his beard!

      Finally we find some European water and get on the plane. Bus into Nha Trang and then recieve some helpful directions from the bus driver explaining how to get the bus to our next destination.

      Why do you need to get another bus you may ask?? You've just landed at your destination. This is true... In Holly's world.

      However, turns out the bright spark has booked us into a hotel 40km away from everything.... Not twigging when the trip advisor review said 'isolated'!! Brilliant, so he's sick locked in a room and I'm now in an isolated shack. Brilliant.

      On the plus side we were told a bus to get there would be around £30 and it ended up costing us £2.50 (for the pair) as we got a normal bus.

      It's also raining cats and dogs. Like proper Manchester never ending bleak rain.... I'm not sure the bus driver can handle it too well in the wet he's throwing round bends like Schumacher. Loads of women on the bus have one roller in their hair.

      The best thing about the 40 minute journey is that someone gives the bus conductor a live duck in a bag. The duck is put in the boot on top of our bags, and then taken out at the next stop and given to another family. 😂😂😂😂😂 no plane with a chicken but a duck on a bus will do me!!

      It's nearly TET (Vietnamese new year) so we wanted to reduce our movements during this time as everything's meant to get mental. On the local bus, as well as every where else, everyone is carrying massive bunches of the most amazing flowers, I'm not even a flower girl and can tell. They take these flowers home with them to their villages where they have around 5 days off work... The whole country shuts down and parties!
      Looking forwards to the year of the rooster!!
      The thing with TET I can't get to the bottom of is what it's about... Some places have little chicks in the windows, flowers etc suggests a bit like our Easter. The some places are playing Christmas tunes and shops have tinsel up, and then some are treating it as new year it's all very confusing! Apparently everyone is all nice on the first day as how it is on the first day is meant to be how your whole year will be! (Couldn't deal with sentence construction here).

      We finish our bus journey and arrive in the village in the middle of no where! The wind and rain batters us as we walk towards our resort. We end up having to walk along the beach with all our gear to get into our place.

      I'm excited.... Fingers crossed for something at least average... With windows, apparently there are tennis courts and a fancy pool!

      We get in past the rain.... And we are taken to the worst bungalow ever!!! Omg it's so grim!!! Noblet where have you brought us!! Turns out that he thought booked the wrong hotel and thought we were staying at the fancy pants one next door!! Oh well open windows and doors open so expect lots of midgies!

      Die heutige Busfahrt dauert grad einmal 4 Stunden und ist mitten am Tag. Es geht immer ostwärts, bis an die Küste des südchinesischen Meeres, in die Stadt Nha Trang.
