Arrived at Madison Square Garden I went to the NHL game Boston Bruins visiting the New York Rangers. A preseason game, so the result is not important and the arena is not full. Nevertheless, the atmosphere was mega. In contrast to Germany, all the fans here sit mixed. The blue-red-white of the Ranger was clearly in the predominance, but everywhere distributed sat the brown-white Bruins fans. I sat in the 11th row and could therefore hear the screams of the players, the sticks, and bodychecks and even feel the latter when they went into the boards. On the video screen, fans are regularly shown by one of the many cameramen, who can even use their own cell phone as a camera with a QR code. It is ensured throughout that we are loud. Food can be ordered at the seat and is delivered to you. Next to me sat a couple from New York, she spoke to me quite at the beginning and asked directly where I am from. They have owned these seats for over 20 years, and the 3 seats next to them are almost always free, and if not then there are almost always tourists sitting there. And by all randomness, the two were just on vacation in Germany. She explained to me all the time what was happening. For example, after the obligatory player fight is always played karaoke. Everything is a bit different than in Germany. New York lost 3:1 in the end.

Angekommen am Madison Square Garden ging es zum NHL-Spiel Boston Bruins zu Gast bei den New York Ranger. Ein Preseason Spiel, somit ist das Ergebnis nicht wichtig und die Arena ist nicht voll besetzt. Trotzdem war die Stimmung mega. Im Gegensatz zu Deutschland sitzen hier alle Fans gemischt. Das blau-rot-weiß der Ranger war klar in der Überzahl, aber überall verteilt saßen die braun-weißen Bruins Fans. Ich saß in der 11ten Reihe und konnte somit die schreie der Spieler, die Stockschläge, und Bodychecks hören und letztere sogar spüren, wenn die in die Bande gingen. Auf der Videoleinwand werden regelmäßig von einem der vielen Kameramänner Fans gezeigt, die sogar mit einem QR-Code ihr eigenes Handy als Kamera nutzen können. Es wird durchgehend dafür gesorgt das wir laut sind. Das Essen kann am Platz bestellt werden und wird geliefert. Neben mir saß ein Pärchen aus New York, sie sprach mich ziemlich zu Anfang an und fragte direkt wo ich her komme. Die beiden besitzen diese Sitzplätze seit über 20 Jahren, und die 3 Plätze daneben sind fast immer frei, und wenn nicht dann sitzen da fast immer Touristen. Und wie es der Zufall will waren die beiden gerade erst im Urlaub in Deutschland. Sie hat mir die ganze Zeit erklärt, was gerade passiert. Zum Beispiel wird nach der obligatorischen Spieler Prügelei immer Karaoke gespielt. Alles ein bisschen anders als bei uns. New York verlor am Ende 3:1.Baca lagi
