Left Keukenhof grounds to explore the surrounding city and check out the Kasteel via bicycle. It was so fun. But we got cut short to rush back for our Vermeer Exhibit!
We went to the Rijksmuseum specifically for the Vermeer Exhibit. Stephen was dying to go and it was the largest compilation of his works in one place with some pieces coming from NYC, DC, England andWeiterlesen
After we left Vermeer and got dinner we walked around after dinner, exploring the red light district!
The next day we were back to the museum for breakfast and some more noteworthy artists including The Night Watch and The Sampling Officials by Rembrandt Van Rijn, a self portrait by Vincent Van GoghWeiterlesen
In the afternoon we left the city and went to see the windmills about 30 minutes to the north. They were stunning and a fun little excursion. Stephen also got to play with his new camera for a bit.
On our way back, we hopped off the train to check out this unique looking hotel with different facades.
We got dinner at this local brewery run by ex-convicts. The food and beer were both pretty good. Then we walked around a bit more before heading back to out hotel room.
