At the Airport and not crowded here today.
Hardly any people around so check in was good until it was time to bag drop, we had our usual issue with John's bag not being recognised, Qantas staff cameもっと詳しく
On the plane and ready to fly. Up up and away.
Let the holiday begin.
Yeah, middle seat empty, glad we did not win the upgrade. Having 3 seats is better than business on a small plane.
Looking out the window as we fly across Australia you can see how arid and vast Australia actually is the words of "I love a Sunburnt Country" comes to mind.

Arrived in Alice Spring after a very easy flight. The airport is very small, so it is easy to get around, locate our bags and find a taxi.

Straight from the airport we went to the rental place to collect our wheels and home for the next 8 days.
After watching a short video on the do's and don'ts it is time to test this monster out. Ready, set, drive, first issue blinkers on the wrong side.
Well that short drive was fun. Took John a little while to get used to driving the Apollo Van but all sorted now.
We are plugged in, unpacked and set up for the next 3 days. It is quite a good caravan park, lots of facilities. It's a shame it is so far away otherwise a great place for family holidays.
