A long day today travelling to Uluru. We flew from Adelaide to Alice Springs then hired a 4x4 for a trip across the desert to Ayres Rock. It was dark when we eventually arrived so not seen a lot yet.Weiterlesen
After a slow start (no one could agree what to do!!!!) We then booked a sunset tour and set off to explore the rock. David went for a 10k walk around the base of the rock with no hat and no water....Weiterlesen
We set our alarms to see the Luna eclipse at 4.40am this morning, so as a consequence we didn’t wake up until after breakfast had finished ! We booked a helicopter ride to Uluru & Kata Tjuta thenWeiterlesen
Not a lot to report other than a 4.5hr drive back to Alice Springs from Uluru, but, we did see 2 Camels on the way (it happened to be next to a Camel Farm but nevertheless we did see them roamingWeiterlesen

We decided to spend the morning booking tours for the next two days then took a half day city tour in the afternoon. Eric the driver picked us up promptly and was particularly good, if not a littleWeiterlesen
We spent the day on a Catamaran and sailed out to Michaelmas Cay where we went snorkelling. One of our party spent almost two hours at the bow (front) of the catamaran looking like Leo DeCaprio inWeiterlesen
Another amazing day! I have to say I enjoyed the train going up to Kuranda more than the skyrail coming down, much more relaxing 😅
