This is where we stayed in Luxembourg. It was a tiny cabin next to an athletics track.
There was a great walk nearby with the sun and planets spaced out over 1km. It was a shame we weren't there long enough to do it (that and it was too hot!)Read more

Very hot day out in Rothenburg. We had a walk around the city walls then visited the Medieval crime museum. Also had an odd trip to an expansive Christmas shop!

After breakfast at Chris and Kamila's, the boys went to a shooting range while the girls went to the Aqua Park. Lili did the biggest slide she was allowed on and we all went round the whirlpool about a hundred times!
In the afternoon it was the girls' birthday party at a ropes centre. We barely saw them as they were off having fun with their friends. The big swing was a lot of fun. I might have screamed quite a bit but Lili was very brave!Read more

On Saturday we drove 1.5 hours north to Jesenik where Leo's friend Katka lives. We had lunch then ice cream with her and her daughter. We had planned to have a walk up in the mountains but most of the time we were there it was torrential rain with thunder and lightning (which Fiffy was scared of!)Read more

After lunch in Jesenik we took a quick drive further north so we could visit Poland. It was a flying visit with just a coffee in the nearest town to the border! The Czech rain came with us too!

After Bratislava we had planned to go to Gyor in Hungary but when we stopped at the border to get a vignette, we didn't have the right documents. We were already over the border so we can off the motorway at the first junction to turn around (but stopped for a quick meal first!)
Amazingly they didn't have goulash on the menu but we had the local daily special and some liver dumpling soup. Fiffy just had pickles!Read more

We arrived into Vienna late on Sunday night. In the morning we tried to get the tram into the centre but gave up and ended up walking. We had a nice walk around the city then when our feet got tired we hired some electric scooters. We then headed off to Germany!Read more

Nancy was lovely! We had an amazing apartment (albeit on the 4th floor) and the city was pretty and not at all full of tourists. The main square, Place de Stanislas, is stunning.
