    Mother's Day

    May 12, 2019 in Australia ⋅ 🌬 20 °C

We had a great day - a Mother's Day lunch and gathering. We started the day with a special breakfast from Miles - waffles, fruit - strawberries, kiwifruit and raspberries - and cream too. We gave Mum a bunch of flowers. Before everyone arrived we visited Nathan & Caroline's new flat, which is just around the corner on a canal. Then we visited the new house that Meghan & Dominic have just moved too.
For lunch we had all of the above and Caroline's parents. We have a big lunch - roast, vegies etc.

It was great to see them all and catch up.
Tomorrow we leave for Noosaville, but before that we need to pick up Mark & Penny at the Brisbane airport.

    For a walk

    May 10, 2019 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 23 °C

Friday we left early for a walk. Lynne and Libby walked from home to the meeting place - the rest of us drove. We stopped for morning tea near the breakwater south of Mooloolaba. The sea was flat. Mum walked from the car to the picnic table. Then Miles, Robyn and I walked home - it was a fair hike in the heat so into the pool to cool off. The water was freezing cold. After lunch the four of us went to the movies - The Chaperone.Read more

    Warm and sunny

    May 9, 2019 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 23 °C

We had a fairly quiet day - lazy morning sitting and talking. Did go into the mall to by a pair of shorts for me - had a coffee and bought some groceries. I did get this nice photo of mum while she was getting her exercise.Read more

    Sunshine Coast

    March 25, 2019 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 27 °C

    Maroochydore

    February 22 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 25 °C

Read more

    Weitere Camperprobleme

    January 24, 2019 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 29 °C

    Happy new year

    December 31, 2016 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 24 °C

Fantastic to celebrate New Years with the Westwood's in Alexandra Headland. Wonderful people like them you don't kick out behind every corner, we were lucky enough to meet them just over 2 months ago on our transpacific cruise and it was like we have known each other for years. No doubt we will have loads more Westwood tours, somewhere in the world in the future.

We enjoyed a BBQ picnic and a couple of cold one's next to the beach while watching the fireworks. A near perfect night.

Until we retired home we realized that it was going to be hot night without the ocean breeze we have enjoyed, but did not quite expect the sauna awaiting us in our room without AC or fan. I woke up at 3 am in a puddle of sweat just to realize Isabel was gone, I walked downstairs to the living room where I found Isabel asleep on the floor under the cealing fan, needless to say I grabbed a pillow and joined her for a more comfortable couple of hour sleep.

    Surfing

    January 1, 2017 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 29 °C

Andy was nice enough to give me a quick surfing lesson.

I managed to get up on the board fairly quickly, but I am still struggling to read the waves, but apparently that comes with time.

The biggest lesson I learned was, to never surf without a rash vest. After an hour and a bit of surfing my chest and nipples was raw from the scratchy surface of the board.

Great fun, and one more tick off the bucket list.

    Start 2017 right

    January 1, 2017 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 27 °C

For the second year in a row we did a little New Years morning run.

This is a great start to a year of good choices.

Unlike last year we did not try to run around the world but did a nice and easy 7km with lots of walking in between.

Even at 8am the sun had no mercy, apart from the annoying running shirt tan, we took about 2 hours to completely cool down after.

Nothing tastes as good as feeling fit!
