Petit passage chez Merlin, ancien coloc de Robin.
On sent déjà le côté scandinave, on patauge dans la mer Baltique après un tour en vélo, on fait un peu de jardinage dans le jardin ouvrier de Merlin et ses amis et on danse sur de la techno dans un ancien bunker sous l’hôtel de ville !

Sista dagen på resande fot

Färja, spårvagn och buss så är vi hemma!

Kielfärjan är stor men består mest av hytter. Vi blev förvånade över det lilla utbudet som finns och får känslan av att färjan bara är transport och inte fokuserad på upplevelser.
Danmarksbåten har betydligt större utbud i form av shopping, spelautomater och lekrum! Det finns dock gott om sittplatser👍

Det blev minidisco, middag och sedan lite kvällsmys i hytten med godis från taxfreen. En trött och glad familj somnade vid 23-00 och sov bra, tills Mojjes larm ljöd vid 6-tiden (väckte dock bara mig😂).

När familjen sov vidare köpte jag kaffe, smoothie och alldeles nybakta croissanter med chokladfyllning på soldäcket😋

Det första grabbarna säger när de kommer av färjan är:”Vad kallt det är”, ”Kan vi åka tillbaka till Kroatien?”, ”Kan vi flytta till Kroatien?!”, ”Det här är INTE sommarväder!”.

Vid ankomst till Ljungskile blev vi upphämtade av mormor och Kent och serverade köttbullar med potatismos (som grabbarna önskat)❤️

Nu ska vi försöka smälta alla intryck och se om vi kan göra en topplista över det bästa under resan (platser, upplevelser, personer, ögonblick etc.)Read more

Eine kurze Anekdote vom Campingplatz muss ich noch berichten: Am Abwaschstand. Kinder neben mir. Sie sind im Zeltlager. Sagt der eine: Wieso sagen hier im Zeltlager immer alle: Meine Mutter. Dab ei heisst es doch: Meine Mama! Mutter klingt so nach viel, sagt er zu sich und nach einem Vergleich suchend: Mutter klingt wie - Reis!
Ob nun Basmati, Risotto oder Klebreis mag jeder für sich beurteilen.
Petrus hat heute den ganzen Tag mit Wasser nach mir geschmissen. Er nimmt den Job ernst. Ich bin so langsam am Strand entlang, weswegen es auch heute Photos mit Blumen aus dem Meer gibt. Am Eck zur Kieler Förde hab ich noch klassisch Bulette und Kartoffelsalat gegessen und bin dann Richtung Kiel an der Förde lang marschiert. Habe am Nord-Ostsee-Kanal ein Militär- und ein Frachtschiff in der Schleuse beobachtet und bin mit der Fähre rüber nach Kiel. Hier bin ich bei meinen Freunden Nils und Marie-Luise Heits unter gekommen. Ich habe mit beiden Medizin studiert und mag sie sehr. Sie sind meine Trail-Angels for tonight. On the road to Kiel

After a long journey on the overnight FlixBus we arrived to smiley faces and warm sun in Kiel (Deutschland). Sabine and Bjerke took us to the morning Markt where we got to experience delicious apricot pastries 🥐 and coffee. In the afternoon we had a lovely walk to the garden 🪴 where lots of fruit and vegetables thrive - and tonight we got to have homegrown tomatoes and potatoes from the garden!! Sabine, Matze, Josh and I took the bikes to the beach here. Our very first summer swim, and our first time swimming in the Baltic Sea. The water was calm and warm enough to be enjoyed. After all the fun we had on the beach we had to try the best Fishbrötchen and topped it off with Spaghettieis (my new favourite way to eat ice cream!) We feel so lucky to be here and to be surrounded by Joshes very welcoming family 🌟Read more

Meine Familie ist schon am Morgen abgereist und nach Haus geflogen. Die Fähre verlässt erst um 18:45 Uhr Göteborg nach Kiel. So habe ich noch genügend Zeit bis zur Abfahrt.

Um die Mittagszeit fuhr ich in ein nahe gelegenes Restaurant am Strand und genoss das wunderbare Wetter am Strand. Am späten Nachmittag radelte ich zurück nach Göteborg, direkt zur Anlegestelle der Stena Line. Und dort stand sie auch schon, die Stena Scandinavica. Sie ist eine der größten Fähren weltweit, 243 m lang und knapp 30 m breit. Als ich all die wartenden PKW, LKW und Lastaufleger sah, dachte ich: die sollen alle auf diese Fähre passen? Und dann las ich, dass auf der Stena Scandinavica 4220 Spurmeter zur Verfügung stehen, also 4 km Autos hintereinander aufgereiht in den Schiffsbauch passen. Beeindruckend.

Um 17:00 Uhr checkte ich auf der Fähre ein, bezog meine Kabine und beobachtete das Beladen und Rangieren der Lastaufleger auf dem obersten Autodeck. Danach Abendessen, noch ein bisschen lesen und dann ab die Kiste. Morgen warten bereits mein Bruder und Reinhard in Kiel auf mich, um mich mit dem Auto nach Hause zu bringen.Read more

Docked at Kiel, Germany, and took a walk into the coastal town, specifically to find a Brauhaus for a German beer. Not the friendliest reception in this city... but hey.

Eating and Chilling

This is heaven for Benjamin, first the craft lolly factory in Eckernförde. They even had a vending machine...not sure why Benjamin is so fascinated by these. (The other day there was one on a farm). And then during an adventurous bus and ferry ride around Kiel and home... Bratwurst and curled potatoes...at the Kieler Woche Stalls. The evening was spent playing Wizard extreme with the cousins.Read more
Traveler During the Kieler Woche there are many old and very beautiful sailing ships in the harbour. They are a great sight.
