Located about 4 kilometers from Chora is Stafilos Beach. The beach is organized with beach chairs and there is a little Cafe serving refreshments. The surrounding area is typical of Skopelos ' beauty, with stone cliffs, pine trees, and blue-green water. The beach is named for Stafilos, one of Dionysos' sons. Stafilos comes from the Greek word for grapes. The area was used in antiquities as a Roman bath, taking advantage of the fresh water. The beach is stunning. It is not organized, meaning there is no cafe or beach chairs, or a lot of shade for that matter.Read more
