I had a bath this morning even though its kid sized, I made it work 👍🏼
Flooded the bathroom though lol.
We walked 2km to the supposed best shopping centre - what rubbish. It had like 10 shops a level and only clothes.
On the walk home we both bought new phone cords.
We watched 19 episodes of Big Bang today. Heheh
Very relaxing day.
We went out for burritos. Very yum!
Serbia thus far has very ugly buildings lol.
Our Bnb is next to where the American embassy was - it got pulled down a month ago and is being moved.
We couldn't find a taco pack in the supermarket which we are pretty devo about.
Jess told us they made it through to the final round of the family feud auditions. They find out in a week if they make it onto the show hahahah.Læs mere

The bed isn't big enough for my preferred amount of elbow and knee space.
During the night a car alarm went on for soooo long it was so annoying!!!!!!!! I shut the window which helped a little but I could still hear it.
We went to do a load of washing but didn't have any detergent so that's one thing on our to do list today.
Will fart assed around for ages. After I finally convinced him to shower we got ready and headed to the Nikola Tesla museum.
I'll be honest. I had less than zero understanding for how everything worked. There was a free tour but we couldn't hear or see so we didn't stay on it.
Electricity and well, pretty much the process of most things is beyond my comprehension. 😂
I know he is an important dude, he discovered lots of things the most important being radio waves and the Tesla coil.
Literally no understanding of what either is apart from like why a remote works hey.
Anyway his ashes were there so that was worth the $5 entry.
He was also born in what is now Croatian so I don't know how he is Serbian but ok.
We then went looking for food. It took an hour but we found a maccas 😂😂😂😂
Highlight: I fed a cat my cheeseburger patty.
Everyone is excellent at English. On par with the Norwegians.
We tried another supermarket but it didn't sell taco packs either 😭😭
The whole city is grey. It reminds me of a french mime skit where all the colour fades away.
We walked through a few parks and none are overly pretty.
We are home now and going to have another Big Bang marathon 😝
Cooked noodles for dinner.
Enjoying having our own apartment and space to do nothing in.Læs mere

Slept like crap.
Woke up at 9:45 to prep for my Skype date with mum and dad. Pretty annoyed with myself - I had planned it so the date was at 11 but I got the time difference wrong so I had to be up by 10.
We chatted for a little bit and caught up on some stuff.
I planned to go back to sleep but my talking had woken Will up 😭
I took my sweet ass time but we finally left the house. The weather was miserable. I at least wore an appropriate jacket but Will was freezing.
We went to Belgrade fortress. It was about 2km away but the way we went made it probably more like 3.5km
We got to the fortress wall but there was a barrier and it continued and continued and continued 😑
We walked along the water which was nice but not great compared to other city waterfronts.
Got to the entrance - it didn't look too flash hot from the front but once we got in it was really cool.
It had lots of sections and was really open. It had a redone draw bridge.
It came out into where I assume the little village section was. It's definitely the prettiest part of Belgrade so far.
I don't know why but once we walked through one of the big gates it became like a normal park - it had basketball courts and a dinosaur park (which was awesome!)
Really great community spot. There was also a museum section and old war tanks on display on the lawn.
I actually thought it was great. I'm gonna give it a 5 star review. It was also free 👍🏼
We then went to get food.
Emily finally messaged me and invited us out but I was soooo tired. I went home and napped. We have organised to meet up tomorrow.
I had a nap then we went and got milk and cereal which we had for dinner.
We have watched raiders of the lost arc and wolf of Wall Street.Læs mere

The first order of business for the day was to go out and get burritos. Not as good as last time because they weren't as generous with the ingredients.
It also comes with churros and tasty lemonade so that was great.
Walked back home and watched more Big Bang.
Will Skyped Bill for his birthday while I was having a shower.
I am loving our Big Bang marathon- we are smashing our way through it!
We looked up things to do in Belgrade and there is legit nothing. 😓 we still have the walking tour to do but we will have to do it another day cause we are meeting up with Emily tonight.
We had a mid day nap because you know, we have overexerted ourselves...
we got ready to walk 4kms to Emily's babas house.
It. Was. Bucketing. 😒😒😒😒
We got so wet on this walk. The drains did not do well today, the whole city was flooding. Cars were spraying us with water and I must have a hole in my left hiking show becUse my sock was saturated!
Wills pants were cream so you could really see how wet he was.
We had to walk over this bridge. It had to be at least a kilometer long and it was so windy and cold.
We got to her street and couldn't find the damn thing.
Lucky she said she was next to the helicopter pad because it was something big enough we eventually spotted.
We had to cross a main highway to get there though ... that wasn't fun.
Found her 😁 big hugs all round.
We went up for dinner where there was lots of traditional food - a lot with Turkish origin. The cheese pitas were terrific. There was also like a garlic carrot thing I enjoyed!
Oh and yellow capsicum stuffed with sour cream. Different.
We chatted for about 4 hours - it went so quick!
SHE BROUGHT MY MEDS 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I'm set for 8 months lol.
Her mum chatted for a while then joined her grandma in the other room. Baba doesn't speak English so she didn't hang around at all. She is so cute though! Really young too!! Only 67!!!! The grandad is sick so he was in bed.
We are planning to meet up tomorrow so that should be great. We both really enjoyed tonight.
So good to see her.
Walked home. Naturally it started raining again.
I he a headache - that could be from the Rakia - bloody eastern Europe! It's so strong.
So happy to be in bed!Læs mere

Had made plans to meet up with Emily again but we have had to push it back to tomorrow because she has family coming over.
I felt sick all night and slept crap again.
Showered and cleaned up the apartment a little bit.
Went walking for food but on the way there we bought train tickets to Zagreb, Croatia - we were gonna go to Kosovo but I changed my mind 😂 making it up as we go hahah
Will wanted pizza so we walked to the Main Street of Belgrade. It was freaking cold. After we had eaten we were going to go on a free walking tour but it just wasn't going to happen. We were both freezing.
We walked home - bought a magnet on the way and some cereal for dinner.
Oh oh oh on the way we saw like a little cat community. I counted 11 all up but I'm sure there were more hiding - - someone had given them a little house and they all live in it 😭😍
When we got home to cats were curled up together obviously trying to get warm.
We watched more Big Bang - shocking. 😏
I had a thump thump headache so I had a 3hr nap. The water here is too chlorinated so I haven't been drinking much.
We have run out of toilet paper 😪😪
I went downstairs and gave the cats some of my cat food.
I also walked to the store but it was closed :(
I walked there in things and picked up some strange looks hahaha
Probably didn't match my big winter jacket 😝Læs mere

Left at 11 and headed to a shopping center Em selected for us to meet at.
It was a hassle to get too. 3km over the bridge, across tram lines and through a tunnel because you couldn't cross the highway.
Found her :)
Her mum was there too and she shouted us lunch in the food court 😀 such a lovely lady.
She then left and the 3 of us got on our way and headed to the museum of Yugoslavia. But first, we had fun on a tram! Thank heavens Em can speak Serbian (can completely understand + communicate but isn't fluent) because she was able to ask for help on how to activate our ticket. They have like a hard copy card thing like an opal card so she paid for all 3 fares to save us having to buy a card.
It took us half way before it then went the wrong way... hahah
We jumped off as soon as we could at walked the rest - another 3km.
The museum had shocking signage and if she hadn't had her map loaded I would have walked straight past.
Nice fountain out front.
She paid our entry fee for this too - $4 each and we then went up the stairs to the exhibit.
So essentially the museum is terrible however - despite its crap layout, waste of space and just general boringness - surprisingly, I did learn something.
It was nothing about Yugoslavia itself but its leader, Tito.
He was leader of the communist party which me and Em couldn't wrap our head around because we automatically associate communism with bad but everyone really seems to like him.
He did a lot lot lot of work with Africa. The museum didn't mention anything other than his connection and trips to Africa and how he had offered scholarships to African children to come to Yugoslavia.
They had one good blurb thing reminding of the significance of his attitude towards the Africans because it was at a time that there were still colour segregation in many countries and how advanced his attitude was.
There was a short video about the scholarship program.
Unfortunately it would seem once Yugoslavia was lost, so were the connections.
Tito is responsible for the non aligned movement.
Countries that do not want to be with or against any major superpower countries.
We then left and walked around abit until we found "the glass house"
Tito is buried inside. His grave wasn't all that fancy but a nice spot. Sunny lol
Inside were presents he was given from other major heads such as JFK and Queen Elizabeth 2 WHO GAVE HIM A SIGNED PHOTO OF HERSELF HHAHAHAHAHH WHAT A RIDICULOUS PRESENT 😂😂😂😂
When he died he was transported in the blue train - it stopped in at many stations for people to pay respects. A model of the train was there.
He was also involved in the relay of youth which took place across Yugoslavia. Every year people put Battons on his grave - heaps on display and some were awesome!!
He was a really popular man. There was a picture showing which countries had someone attend the funeral - all of maybe 10 didn't. That's it.
How Very impressive.
We then went walking to what is apparently the 2nd biggest church in the world and started being built is 1935 but is still not done. Not even close.
The outside is great but the inside is completely empty and just scaffolding. The crypt is done though and truly beautiful!!! No one is buried there though.. 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
We bought some plum rakia for us to send home. $12 for a litre of spirits isn't bad. Bought from the street so hopefully we don't go blind.. 😅
We went back to our burrito shop to show Emily and then said our goodbyes:(
I had a great day - so good seeing her!!
We went home, I packed and shower, watched Big Bang and finally replied to everyone I have been meaning to.
Oh forgot to mention - as we entered the museum - barely entered the room and Emily touched a display and broke it. I LAUGHED SO LOUDLY which alerted the guard. She put it back and we walked on.
Nothing with any significance luckily!! HahahLæs mere

Will had to get up an hour before me hehe sucker. He didn't pre pack.
We did our final pack up and headed out - we put our keys in their letterbox.
We went straight to a bakery where we bought delicious pastries. So good. Like a banitza cake.
We then went to the station and sat by the train waiting.
On we popped. Some old lady was trying to communicate to us that we were in here seat, we were like no, show us your ticket. She then pulls out this magnifying contraption to try and read her ticket 😂
I was oh dear hhaha I send her in the right direction.
It's a 7 hour train ride and so far we have had some decent sleeps.
We didn't get an exit stamp from Serbia so that was a little concerning but Croatia stamped us in so it doesn't matter now. Just disappointed because we are trying to fill our book.
Woman are always so much better with my passport photo - it's like that have a better understanding that hair changes. 😂
2 more hours to go.
We are both pretty hungry.
The landscape has varied. Some very flat and brown and others have had such cute villages with chickens and such.
The villages are mainly quite well put together. I think if i was born in Serbia if prefer village life over Belgrade. It's jut so bland lol.
My ass is so numb.
I haven't drunken enough water but I've already peed twice and don't want to have to go again..
30 mins away and there is a storm outside 😒😒😒😒 I dont want to have to walk in it 😔
Ok some crazy lady gave us a Jesus card on the train. Well she tried too. This lady was full blown retard. She tried to hand us I why I presume to be a Serbian pamplet thing and I said sorry but no thankyou we can't read it. She responded in English and goes "oh ok, German"
She then hands us a pamphlet in german.
So I said the same thing IN ENGLISH sorry but we can't read it.
She was so stumped by this. She pointed at Will and goes "he is german"
Uhm, no?
What?
Crazy lady.
She eventually gave us a download a bible in your language app card. Then Went down the train passing out pamphlets.
We were talking in English why not think to try give us an English pamphlet 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
Anyway, arrived in Zagreb. It wasn't raining thank goodness.
Immediately impressed by Croatia.
Stunning entrance. The buildings, gardens and cleanliness. It has a Belgium/Poland feel.
I likey.
We found our hostel, dumped our stuff and headed back out. The foyer was so loud, its like a club lol. So many people too.
We headed to the Museum of broken relationships. I was really excited about going because I had heard so many good things but I was a little let down. There were some funny and sad displays but most had too much writing and Will was bored out of his brain hahah
It's basically a museum with items and a backstory. There was a funny one about a toaster. Basically I think she got cheated on and so she stole his toaster "sucker, how's he going to toast anything now?!"
There were ones of suicide and divorce which were far more heart breaking.
Still, happy I went and saw.
We had to climb up so many stairs to get there too. There was a view but unfortunately it was too dark. I think it would be lovely at sunset.
We went looking for food and ended up at a restaurant after a long search only the prices were RIDICULOUS - this place had their damn food menus on smart tablets - that gives you a rough idea of their attempt at poshness.
We had our cokes and found a burger joint. Very good. Still pricey but it comparison, a bargain!
We are now back at the hostel and have booked a day trip to the Lakes for Sunday.
Tomorrow we are going to the post office - how excitinng.. haha
Serbia didn't have button at their traffic lights and it annoyed me.
I need something to push to make time go quicker - some of them have a clock countdown and sometimes it was 90 seconds. It goes very slowly.Læs mere

Ok so this hostel is ridiculous. We are sleeping on top of a night club. the music was like drilling through the walls. Also Will doesn't fit the bed so his sleep was super..
We decided to skip the post office and do it in another city and instead do the free walking tour the hostel puts on.
But first, food. I had the most delicious cheese pastry things. Like a banitza but more of a pie 🤤🤤🤤🤤
The tour started from the hostel. Our guide was a complete loon 😂 quirky isn't the right word but oh man was he quirky. He does what I do and gets really loud and makes loud noises and sounds when awkward.
He took us on a journey for sure.
First stop was the lift that takes you up the stairs we walked up yesterday. It's in the Guinness book of records apparently for shortest lift.
Croatians all view it with fondness because it's what you do as a child so everyone has nice memories with their parents. And I assume that's true. We saw so many families use it.
Next stop was the top of the stairs to explain why Zagreb is the capital - it had a big wall and a moat so everyone moved there. Pretty simple really.
There is also a cannon at the top that goes off everyday at noon.
The story that goes with it is a long one about a painted cow and a chicken being shot out of cannon which scared the energy away because it made it look like they had plentiful amounts of food when they didn't.
The cannon saved the city and at that time the city was united but at war with each other too. Too stay separate the 2 areas operated on a different time zone. This was changed when the cannon started being used 150 years ago.
We heard it go off.
Next museum of broken relationships which we have already been to but he explained that the original concept was created to show the "violent divorce" of Yugoslavia. And it just continued on.
Next St. marks church which has really really cool ceramic roof tiles. There was also a red square in the centre of the square where public executions took place.
Parliament was next door and not impressive at all. The word I would use is maybe cute? It's like a fancy house.
There money is named after a weasel type animal that the were highly sought after for fur. It's even represented on one of the crests on the roof.
Next was an old pharmacy
Next a high school. He made me laugh here... he goes however long ago it was a high school. As you can tell by the weeners on the wall... it is still a high school.
So many penis drawings 😂
Then onto the city gates which is a pilgrim sight for good luck.
If you get what you asked for you put up a tile - it seems to work a lot - lots of tiles there!
Next a well. The well goes into a secret tunnel system.
We then walked though a nice park until we reached the only open tunnels for the public - this was sso very serious AWSOME.
Basically the plan was when they got attacked everyone was to go into the tunnels and up to the fortress. It never happens though.
Anyway, the museum was free and cool.
It was like a time line. Pictures and pictures of time and then it had side sections we didn't enter - one had a film and one had music
BUT THE COOLEST BIT EVER WAS
To remember WW2 where 2 million died they though instead of an exhibition with lots of bodies ...
THEY MADE IT RAIN.
We entered and all had to grab an umbrella and walk 30 meters through rain. It was so cool and an awesome way to do it I think. It was pitch black except for one light. The sound echoed.
So impressed.
It was fun tbh.
We came out at the farmers market.
Then we went to a cathedral. He talked about its construction and how it's always under construction because of the original stone used was crap and has stone cancer. There were display pieces explaining what the means and the difference it makes to the appearance.
It's a lovely church but not worth the 1000 years of constant rebuilding lol.
We saw other bits and pieces along the way but overall it was a good tour.
He was so awkward though. He said he was gonna tell a joke and then say it and it wouldn't be funny nor a joke.
A very odd man. His name was Ivan.
We then went for our own little walk around.
We sat outside some impressive building talking for ages and me pointing out every dog that walked past 😂😅
We then went and had dinner, got money out and went to the hostel.
Will got a beer and we sat outside.
People joined us and we chatted for a bit. One dude was a knob and ignored my existence.
An Asian girl in our room brushed her teeth for 15 minutes straight. No word of a lie. It was ridiculous.
I don't even think she put toothpaste on... but I sat there staring and timing here 😂 it could have been longer. Will made me leave the room after 15 mins.
IT WAS SO BIZARE.
Croatia isn't cheap at all.
I booked Bosnia accommodation today - also not super cheap.
I really like Zagreb. For a capital city it is so so lovely! I just think it's so spacious, clean and still old.
Big tick from me.
In bed now and keen for tomorrow. Hopefully it's not too cold.Læs mere

We left buy 8 to get food then were back in the lobby by 8:30 to start our tour.
I don't even know how long the drive was tbh.
I know I had a nap though 😂
With us were 3 Americans and 3 Indians- one was a 3 year old girl.
We stopped on the way to the COOLEST village though.
It generates all its power through the multiple huge water falls it has there. People had a water fall going through their damn house! 😵
It was stunning! I was thinking how much I'd love to stay there/ live there but I think never ever having silence would get to me.
Lovely noises to sleep too though!
Got to the park and had to pay entry BOO HISS THIS DAY IS SO EXPENSIVE. Better be good.
We jumped on a park bus that took us to stop 1.
Stopped at a few view points along the way till we walked down a bunch of steps through a cave to come out the other side.
There were fishies in the water 🐟😃
We walked along boardwalks (beautiful scenes along the way) and came out at a big waterfall - the biggest in Croatia. Not really sure how that really measures up in the scheme of things outside of Croatia but it was still reasonable sized. Not that pretty though. It wasn't as full as it normally is apparently. The guide - Billy, showed us pictures of it in Winter when it's completely frozen and it looked incredible!
Ahhh it's so pretty!!!!! 😍😍😍😍 it reminded me of canyon Matka in Macedonia - the water colour was the same.
So many little water fall streams everywhere you looked.
LOVING ITTTTTT.
We then had to climb back up the same gazillion stairs we came down on because today was so so so so windy so the boat was closed so we had to go around another way.
The little Indian girl, though a bit thick was at least quite all day so I'm very happy with her and she can come again. She obviously needed more time to get places but we all didn't mind waiting - especially when we all had a break halfway up the stairs because we were waiting for the family and not because we were all tired....... 😅
We then caught another bus to the next stop which was the other side of the park so it took a little while to get there.
There were so many leaves all of the ground we had fun kicking and throwing them.
Will developed a real bromance with our guide. I kinda got abandoned so he could be with his new bff. 😂
It was still freaking stunning but I think 2 weeks ago it would have been glorious with all the leaves still on the trees and all the different colours.
I got chatting to Jen, one of the Americans. She was really nice. She and the older lady were here for a conference and fly home tomorrow and the other girl was the daughter who lives in England and met up with then - she had a pole up her ass. Will asked Jen what her problem was as Jen said it's just her personality. she had actually been warned on the plane ride there that she is a nasty, rude person and to not to take it personal because it's just who she is - - by her own mother 😂😂😂
Didn't really speak to the Indians because they were always being up the rear.
We stopped by a waterfall and had lunch.
Walk walk walk.
I love the boardwalks. It gives it a nice and natural feel to it.
I don't know why else to write because it was the same thing over and over but just so wonderful all the same.
I had to remind myself to look up a lot though because my focus kept going back down to where I was walking.
The men all had a competition who could skim their rock on the water and have it jump the most.
He was honestly the most unprofessional guide ever hahah
Really really nice though. Originally from Tunisia so that's something different. His mum is Italian though so he isn't very dark.
Ponds, lakes, creeks, falls and streams ❤️
On the bus ride back we were talking about what we did in England and lucky I kept my opinions about Hermione in the cursed child to myself because the bitchy girl is a stage director/acting teacher and both Hermionies are her students. They did shit but still that's very cool.
On the journey home I was dj for a bit and put on some aussie tunes.
We were up front of the bus and Billy and Will started talking about cars and I couldn't escape because I was wedged in between them 😫😫😫 I just don't care.
We have made it back. The Americans tipped $60!!!
billy and will are gonna go out drinking together and I am determined to finish my book.Læs mere

Will only got home at 1:30 but I still made him sleep in my top bunk cause I fell asleep reading in his more convenient bed lol
He randomly woke up at 9 something but he let me sleep for another hour.
We checked out, for breakfast and walked to the bus stop.
We had a 1.5 hour wait until the next bus 😒😒
At least there was wifi so I did my weekly Facebook update.
The bus is so shit. It's a coach but they have stuffed as many seats in as possible and there is no leg room.
The bus wasn't full so at least for the first 2 hours we got our own two seats but then new people got on and we both got someone next to us.
I could tell Will was losing it.
He had to sit sidewards and he was so sad and grumpy. I felt so bad for him. 😔
We did eventually arrive. Not a moment too soon. It ended up only being 5 not 6 hours though so that it something.
It was his most uncomfortable bus ride this far and that's really saying something.
We walked to our hostel which looked like a hole but once we got taken down the street to our room it improved greatly. We have our own little dorm thing and our room has a tv and computer.
We got a twin private this time because it ends up being only $1 more than if we slept in the big dorm.
We are both really tired so we got food then watched the emoji movie on the tv. They had a great movie selection to chose from.
I'm currently in bed but I need to pee 😫😫😖😖
Didn't take any photos so I'm uploading more from yesterdays lake trip.
It's starting to get late really early and quickly!!
I hate having to find things in the dark.

Such good beds! You just melt into them 🤗
We got up and went to the bus station and bought our tickets for tomorrow to Dubrovnik. in all honesty I reckon by the end of this trip we will have spent over $10,000 on just trains and buses.
Freaking ridiculous.
Anyway we went walking sound the bay which is very nixe and ended up in a resturant our hostel recommended to us. I got the tomato salad and they just gave me a tomato. I don't know what I expected- maybe even a lettuce leaf with it? 😂
We then went walking along the dock but the glare was insane! We had to turn around before my retinas burnt off.
We went and got Will more travel sickness tables because he accidentally threw his remaining 3 in the bin yesterday.
We stocked up and got 2 packs lol.
We then went to the Diocletian's palace. Half of old town is now part of the palace. It use to be residence to the Roman Empire in 4AD.
We found the main section and it had 2 men dressed as romans which really added to it. I would have loved to see it when it was functional.
They even had a seated section with cushions.
The place is huge. And cool.
We then walked to the post office but Wills tummy was playing up so he went home and left me to navigate my way through the annoying Croatian signed instructions on what number to press to get a ticket and where to go.
I got a box and a postcard for ally because she asked for one and one for Erna. I thought she would like one from her country. Should have got one in Zagreb but I doubt she will mind. Hopefully she is surprised.
Walked home and sadly people have moved in to the room next door and they are loud.
I had a nap then we went out for dinner.
We are back now and the other people are blaring music. we hope they go out soon because it's been 2 hours and it's really rude. They know we are here.
It's Halloween.
ANOTHER 2 HOURS PASSED
Will finally told them to turn it down at 11:30.
RUDE.
We are packed and ready to go.
We have duct taped our box so hopefully it makes it to Australia without breaking.
I'm prepping myself for what will be I assume a ludicrous sum that we will have to pay to have it shipped.Læs mere

So photos are from tomorrow lol.
Did not take any this day and tomorrow I take lots. Over 200😂
...
Yep, gonna kill our neighbors. At 5 this morning one twat thought it was ok to ring the door buzzer over and over and over again. His friends ignored him and it was Will who eventually let him in.
Where is your key, bro?
We just went to the post office and it's closed. We don't know why -.- a few other things are too so maybe a public holiday? Europe seems to have hundreds.
It means we now have to travel with a gigantic box 😒
Will felt sick. He is so stressful to travel with!!!! I can't fix it and it gives me anxiety.
We got on the bus and the seats were a whole inch bigger bigger than the last bus which was a small improvement but we will take it.
We had to pay to put our luggage underneath the bus again 😑😑 I kept the box on my lap the entire trip.
Will felt sick the whole time and because it turns out it is a public holiday everything was shut in our THREE separate and unnecessary 15 minute breaks. He was starving and his tummy was hurting him so much :(
We actually had to go through Bosnia to reach Dubrovnik so that took time too.
We didn't get stamped out of Croatia or into Bosnia But we did get an entry stamp back into Croatia which seems odd but I'll take it. 😃
My hair is falling out. It's so brittle.
From the few snippets I saw the few out the window was beautiful but again the sun was insane so we had to keep the blinds shut :(
I tried sleeping and has a small success but then my neck got stuck.
All in all we were happy to be off the bus.
We went to a cafe we were told to go to to get wifi. Will ate a sandwich while I organised our pick up.
Got picked up then we realised we forgot to buy tickets for tomorrow 😂
Once we dumped our bags we walked back down the hill to the bus stop. It's not actually that far away but I'm glad for the pick up cause the hostel has no signage and the hill back up would have been a killer!
Tickets bought and our pick up for tomorrow is organised too 💪🏻
We hung out at the hostel for a bit.
It's someone's house they have split in half so there is only one shower for so many people.
We have 2 Aussies in our room though and they seem nice.
We went to the supermarket and I have pre bought snacks for will to have on the bus tomorrow lol.
We also got fruit.
Well I got a pear which I doubt will be any good. No fresh fruits available 😕 I just want vitamins.
We then went to the only dinner place - Italian. It was nice but expensive.
I pet a few cats and now we are back home.
Will was so in need of a cup of tea he actually bothered boiling water on the stove because they didn't have a kettle.
We bought tea bags at the shop too because they charge for tea here and Will is outraged hahah
Have started reading Lusam book 5 and really enjoying it.
So keen to get to Mostar tomorrow. Bosnia looks wonderful.
People need to understand something.
A country being considered "cheap" or "expensive" should not be determined on their beer and cigarette prices. Everyone says Croatia is cheap. HA. The beers are yes. Everything else IS NOT WHAT TOTAL CRAP.
It's cheap to party which is what everyone else is doing but not us, so it is NOT cheap. Everyone keeps saying Australia is expensive and comparatively regarding beers and cigarettes- yes, it sure is but we are paying the exact same amount here for most things if not more.
Stupid conversion rates.
Will is currently snug as a Big in his bed. So over being out on top bunks lol
I always need to pee and hate getting off the bed in the dark!
There is a big mosquito- like monster sized and we can't seem to get him.
The thong is out and waiting. Lol
Got him 😏Læs mere

Dubrovnik

one of our room mates went m.i.a and ended up in another room in a girls bed and the other guy brought another girl into our room and they spooned all night. Very odd. We were just thankful they didn't have sex 😂 we have heard some horror stories from other travelers about people simply not caring about privacy and just going for it ha. Thank heavens they didn't.
Terrible sleep - it was so cold omg. They have a switch they had to stay on for the heating and some goose switched it off so the whole house was an icicle.
We checked out at 10 and they let us leave our bags as we went to old town.
Dubrovnik has so many stairs and hills it's insane!!!
But yeah, the stairs are plentiful. You couldn't be handicapped here and yet funnily enough I have seen more people with canes than usual. They probably fell down the stairs. they aren't exactly even 😂
Loss of puddings on our walk. )My new name for all the puddy cats 😻)
Made it to old town gate after about a 30minute walk.
The main gate is kinda cool but we figured it would probably be cheaper outside the wall than in so we went to the closest resturant.
CHEAPER HAHAHAHA I PAID $6.50 FOR 220ml of Coke.
that more expensive than the easter show. That is ridiculous!!
We both had to get breakfast combos side that's all they had. Lucky they were delicious cause it was $20 each.
The view was nice but we have realised the sun doesn't move and that's the problem. It doesn't go over the top but stays on the same side and just moves across the sky. So basically it is always in your eyes.
We entered through the gate and I could immediately imagine Cersei walking around (game of thrones is filmed here mum)
The walls were so high and it was clean.
We walked around the city and we found the stairs where Cersei does her naked shame walk through the city. That's the only spot we found I know for sure what scene it belongs too but so many spots looked familiar or could have easily been used.
We walked around the rocks/piers and the water is transparent- it's beautiful. You can see ever fish and leaf.
One lady was using a drop line to fish which I think is cheating if you can see them but her 3 cats sitting next to her anxiously waiting probably disagree. I would guess she is quite successful - they are all really fat hahah
There were a few different rock boardwalk type things I could envision scenes of too. Whether they were used in it or not in not sure - this city has a lot of space and options!
So even though the price to get up onto the city walls is eye watering. A whopping $30 each - we decided to fork it up because it we didn't then I would feel like we didn't do it properly and have the need to come back.
Exciting news: For once I actually feel I got my moneys worth.
It's a one way circuit and I'd say all up 1.5km walk around the whole thing. Maybe even more.
It starts with views of the fortress. I don't know what to say other than it was awesome.
We climbed many stairs, turned many corners and took hundreds of photos between the 2 of us.
All the roofs are the orange/ red.
It's so obviously Kings landing.
The entire wall is completely in tact and in perfect condition. IT IS SO COOL.
Looking out to the ocean was also incredible.
It wasn't too busy either which was super duper! Still a lot of people but not too many That i felt cramped.
Some of the bells and statues/gargoyles around the place were so old and special.
So many hidden corridors and streets.
so many STAIRS. If I had to climb them to school everyday I would rage quit.
We did go past one school whose classroom windows were open. I don't know how they get work down with thousands of people always walking past making noise.
Considering how clear the water and easy to spot the fish we were surprised there were no birds other than pigeons (of course - world most common bird)
Probably the coolest city we have been to medieval wise because it's intact and you can interact with it.
I liked how obvious it was that this was people's home. Knickers and socks were out drying everywhere. 🙊
At one stage I started feeling dizzy.
I had been wearing My jumper to avoid having to carry it but I gave in and took it off - also skulled the rest of our water.
The walls kept getting higher and higher and the view better and better.
I enjoyed humming the opening theme song as we walked around haha :)
We got to a fort lookout thing and climbed it. Asked a stranger to take a photo - they were old and didn't know the phone was a touch screen.. Must remember to ask young people. LOl it's a terrible photo too but still happy.
I asked more people along our travels to Wills annoyance heheh
We finished the wall circuit.
Sweat everyyywhere.
We then walked over to the Lovrjenac fortress which is included in our entry price.
It's $10 to see the fortress alone which I don't think is worth it just by itself.
We saw we think is a Kuna (weasel type thing) so that's exciting :)
The fortress had a great lookout of the whole city inside the walls.
It's also where Cersei has her big Westeross floor map I believe.
She is so easy to see walking around here too.
Just because the rock is so clean and crisp and the space is open.
We learn that the palace we were at in Split yesterday is where Daenarys kept her dragons chained up. It's underneath though which we didn't realize we could go down into. Oh well.
We went and got me a magnet that cost too much and then started our long walk home up one million stairs.
We waited at the hostel an hour before walking down to the bus stop to hopefully post our box BUT NO ITS CLOSED AGAIN.
I guess the box is coming to Bosnia..
Waited for our bus and it's the first bus in ages that hasnt already been there waiting for people. It was late and Will was stressing lol.
Now on tthe bus 2 hours into the journey - we have been through both borders.
The bus has spare seats so we are serperated but it's our favorite bus company so far - Will fits 🎉🎉🎉🎉 and it has phone chargers. 👌🏻
Arrived and got picked up by our hosts dad.
" look for a man with a bicycle and a mustache" were our instructions. Lucky it's not a busy stop cause that could have been any number of people lol
Found the dude and walked to our place. He stomped at a cat on the way - not impressed, it's going on his review!! Lol
Our house is really lovely except the tv is too old and doesn't have a USB port. Oh well no Big Bang hahah
The host eventually arrived and introduced himself and told us some stuff as we were talking a random Chinese lady came in 😂
Eermmmm??? She thought it was a hostel hahah
Wrong place lady.
Very strange.
We dumped our stuff and went to the supermarket which basically only sold snacks and sauces.Læs mere

We had a good, much needed sleep in until midday. 🤗
I showered and tried to wash my hair but the hot water didn't last long enough. very cold. 😩
We planned on a lazy day but first we wanted to have a quick look around.
We walked to the bridge and I already love this place. 😍
It wasn't as wide as I thought it would be.
We were both planning on jumping off it - you have to do a training course first but unfortunately we don't think the weather is good. The water will be freeeeeezzzing! And the level looked really low today.
It's a 20 - 24m drop depending on the water level.
Hamish and Andy did it on their gap year - it's a local tradition that at age 16 all boys must jump off is they want any success in their life. Apparently only 5 females have ever done it... I don't know why.. it didn't look that scary 🤔
Another time. I already know i want to come back here - It's beautiful!!!! Every thing is stone and everything is cobbled. Trees hanging over everywhere AH I LOVE IT. lots of wood but things selling stuff. It reminded us of the bazaar in Skopje.
Love love love love.
We walked around and too photos on a platform thing underneath the bridge for a different angle.
We then walked home because we planned to do our proper exploring tomorrow.
On the way home the cat the man stamped at yesterday popped out and followed us home. I ran inside and and back out to feed him :)
I then went inside but soon heard this really loud meowing.
"Great. Look why you've done" said a cranky pants William. I opened the door and it was a different cat then then bolted up the stairs and tried to come in.
I went and got her food too.
I went back inside.
She cried again
So I went out and we cuddled for another an hour.
She was shaking so much - her purr was ridiculous, she was so happy and content.
She curled up in my jacket as I protected her from the sprinkling.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I went and got her more food because she had demolished the previous pile and I went inside.
We had a nap heh.
Woke up and headed out to dinner.
It ended up being the most ridiculous situation.
We ate surrounded by 9 cats. At one point their was 11.
They just sat next to us staring. We fed them all by throwing our food off the balcony. Some wanted pats and others didn't. One had real balls and kept climbing the table. I plonked It on my seat next to me hahah cheeky!
They hissed and scratched each other when fighting for the food so we tried to spread it out but there was one cat smarted than the rest and he kept getting all of it. Lol
I can't believe how many cats there were! The food was crap so we didn't mind sharing - we both had Bosnian schnitzels which was the chicken stuffed with ham cheese and sour cream which sounds delicious but really wasn't lol
We went home and I read another 40% of my lusam book and got so into it I went to bed at 3am 🙊Læs mere

PHOTOS FROM TOMORROW AGAIN.
So we tried to send off that damn box BUT THE POST OFFICE WAS SHUT AGAIN
We have now failed in 3 separate cities. They need to get their shit together.
I carried the box the whole way because for some reason Will found it harder than I did 😂😂💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
We went out and bought drinks and lunch - I cooked my mi go reng and we are relaxing.
I did burn my foot when cooking though because the kettle leaks :( it hurt.
I also pulled the front door into my head earlier too. Sigh.
I finished my book. Lovedddd it. But I'm sad I have to wait so long until the next one and the next one is the last one 😭
We went to dinner. Finally found food I consider cheap! It was delicious too!
I took some of my left over kebab meat and fed it to all the puddings along the way home lol.
I love this place 😍
I was really sick through the night. We bought strawberry juice earlier on which is what I'm assuming upset my tummy cause my vomit was pink. Will calmed me down and hushed me to sleep ☺️
There is a heater (the shitty leave on all day type) but old habits die hard. I'm enjoying sitting next to it haha
We did washing earlier on do and had to translate the buttons
First one translated to slingshot.......
second one translated to on.. we went with that one.
We hope they dry before morning because we don't have a rack so I have spread them around over door and draws and it looks like a bomb site - we have a tour tomorrow with our host. Don't want them Seeing it in such a state lol.Læs mere

Good start to the morning..
washing wasn't dry so I had to use the hair dryer and dry them for 20 minutes before I then bumped my head on a window 😂 we used the juice as an ice pack because a small egg started 👍🏼
Tarik is our Bnb host but he has a cold so his girlfriend took us on tour today - her name is Arna.
Our first stop was Blagaj.
I don't think this stop was necessary but still enjoyed it.
It was an old house thingo where - from what I understand the Muslim version of traveling monks come.
We went inside this building- I had to put a head scarf on and Will had to put on a skirt cause he was in shorts + take our shoes off.
Veryyy basic. All floors were covered in rugs.
There is also 2 tombs. 1 of them possibly contains the bodt of the dude who is seen as the person who brought Islam to Europe I think.
He made a plan before he died - there are 7 different coffins with "his body in it" and they got sent out to the places that wanted him. No one knows who got the real body.
The water here was really clear and people come just to film their water bottles up from this sacred water source.
They haven't ever explored the caves - they tried in 2004 but one man died so they stopped.
It's more of a nice place to have lunch more than anythjnh.
The traveling museums people - the ones who wear white, the hats and spin.. they still come.
The place was abandoned during the Yugoslav communist era but is coming back to life.
Next we went to Medugorje. It's a pilrgirm sight where 6 children claim that The Virgin Mary appeared to them in 1981. Since then over 30 million people have come to the spot and many have reported supernatural things.
Our host was Muslim so she didn't come and went to have a coffee - the walk up the hill was intense - she gave us an hour which I thought was extreme but turns out that was an appropriate allowance lol. The rocks were so jaggered you had to really concentrate where you were stepping! For sure people have rolled and broken their ankles here.
It turns out we went the wrong/long way around but we finally found the Mary statue. She was surrounded by a fence - many people had left flowers. It was so quite everyone was in prayer. We sat in some flattened rocks and stayed a while. I prayed.
One lady couldn't walk and got carried up the hill on a stretcher. That was cool to see. It made it seem like such a sought out place and privilege to be there wether we believe or not.
I'm not sure on my thoughts about it.
It's not a no from me but I'm not sure either.
We walked back down the hill of potential death and got baxk in the car and headed to Kravica waterfalls.
THE SUN WAS SMACK BANG IN THE MIDDLE OF MY EYE SIGHT AGAIN.
The water falls were lovely. It would be wonderful to go swimming there in summer.
We didn't stay too long because of the sun position and there was nothing really to do once we had been there 15 minutes.
Next up was Pocitelj which Will really enjoyed. It's an old fortress village - first written record from 1444. We liked it because once you had bothered climbing the stairs you could walk around for free and actually interact with the building. The view from the top was fabulous too! We were really close to the Croatian border.
I like Ottoman style buildings. It's cosy and warm looking lol.
No specific special person lived here but still an awesome building.
Pomegranate juice is big here and our host Arna was surprised to bear Will doesn't like it lol.
She drove us back. The tour was 27€ each which is expensive but once you consider how much driving she did and we saw 4 things it was definitely worth it.
My kitty was waiting so she got some food 🙊🙊
We booked Montenegro 👌🏻

Transit

Went to the post office this morning and it was issue after issue 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
We first had to open our package - fine, fair enough.
Then we weren't allowed to send the rakia because they can't send liquids...
Then we needed to have a Bosnian address????
Bloody hell.
This is all happening with a lady who didn't speak a lick of English and had to keep getting s translator.
We eventually just wrote our Australian address twice and will hope for the best.
IT COST 75€ 😭😭😭😱😱😱😱😱😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Fuck me. This box is ruining my life lol
But it's gone and on its way now. We are just gonna drink the rakia.
Our morning adventure made us nearly late for check out. Ran home and pack before the father reappeared and took the keys.
We went and bought our bus tickets, got brekkie then caught the bus.
Bus didn't have many people so we got it spread out.
We napped.
When we arrived Will was busting for a wee but first had to walk 3km to get to one. I was practically running to keep up with his monster steps.
Made it 🎉🎉
It's a new hostel so it's not a great set up but the beds are new and scrumptious.
We went out and got Bosnian food called Cevapi.
It was real good and CHEAP 😀
It's like sausage things that gets served with onions that get put inside bread.
Pomegranate stands are everywhere - I bought some with our loose change that keeps dropping everywhere. Boys wallets are so stupid not having a zip.
There is only one other person in our dorm so far and it's 11.15pm so I doubt it's gonna fill up.
I started reading Sherlock Holmes but there were so many big words in going to have to take my time lolLæs mere

Sarajevo

Will was on alarm duty this morning because he had the bottom bunk with the phone chargers but he only got us up at 10:15 for a 10:30 tour 😑 panic ! Lol
Lucky they have a similar system to African time so we made it 👊🏿👊🏿👊🏿 haha
Our guide was fantastic. Probably the best speaker we have had - not once was there an awkward pause or story like so many other guides.
She had the most ANNOYING mole above her lip though ... but she was such a good speaker she distracted me enough to not notice... well almost 😅 ha
She started with a history lesson which goes Sarajevo was first occupied by the ottomans, then the Austrian Hungarian empire before becoming Yugoslavia then they had a war before gaining independence.
There is obvious buildings from each era - for once I could actually tell.
Turkish is Bazaar like
Austro Hungarian buildings are pretty
And the Yugoslavian are boring communism.
We walked through a park and around 25 men were gathered around a big chess board. It was really cute. There was a final showdown going on - only like 5 pieces left.
She talked about politics which is confusing as all hell. They have 3 presidents. One catholic (Croatian) one Muslim (Bosnian) and one Orthodox (Serbian)
You must be of the religion to be elected.
And all 3 must agree if things are to happen.
I can't remember it all because it made zero sense but their system is one of the most confusing ever!
There is only one active synagogue in Bosnia and it's in Sarajevo which we went and saw.
Jews come under the 3% "other" religion in Bosnia and don't get represented in the government. There is a movement that our guide took part in - their sort of census thing happened and a lot of people made up religions to make the "other" group bigger to hopefully one day get recognition.
The most important sight of the tour was next.
The spot Frank Ferdinand and his wife were assassinated which started WW1.
Its on the corner of a street. Well, he was in a car but that's where the assassin stood.
There were actually 6 assassins waiting along the street.
One threw a bomb and missed. People were injured but not killed. When the bomb went off - The driver drove them to the town hall in a panic - it was as they drove back down the street later that it happened.
Funnily enough the 2 that actually did something - the bomb and shooting were the only 2 to receive 20 years in jail because they were underage (19 but then that was still underage then ) the other 4 were executed. the reason they did it was to try and get the Austro Hungarian empire to leave... like that was ever gonna happen if you kill the prince 🤦🏼♀️
Because after the war Yugoslavia was formed the 6 people actually were viewed as heros and the bridge opposite was named after them. They have since been recast as villans and the bridge returned to its original name (Latin bridge I think) the guide said it's really interesting to read her parents old history text books and note how differently things are phrased.
We had a quick break and I had my second sip of coffee ever that I liked - times are changing lol
We then went to the Emperors mosque just to have a look. Sarajevo has 200 mosques. More than the capital of Iran 😂😂😂 it was because every section of the city was to have 3 things - a Mosque, bakery and fountain.
We then went to a church and beer factory. The church has a nice system I think. Once a week it opens its doors to every religion. Anyone can come and pray to whoever their god/s are.
While it makes me feel funny I like the notion. I like to think that if I lived somewhere without Christianity and no churches I am given somewhere to go and pray.
We walked along and there was dog on the roof. I had basically been the only person taking photos the whole tour but suddenly everyone whipped them out - he was the main attraction of the tour hahaha
We went to town hall. Over 2 million books were destroyed during the siege (91-95*) So much history gone. 70% of all the cities books.
The guide was alive during the war - she was 7 so old enough to remember a lot. She remembers the book ashes floating through the air. People also burned there own collections to keep warm + their furniture.
There is a house near the town hall thats name translates to "the house of spite."
He didn't want to move when they were going to build the town hall. They came to an agreement - they must move his house brick by brick - and they did 😂
We found a Sarajevo rose. There is about 50 left around the city. They symbolize a spot between 3-60 people lost their lives in the siege.
We walked through the old town and ended up in some old school hostel which concluded our tour. We gave a shitty tip but it was a big tour group and she didn't even say it was tip based.
We went back to the hostel to brush our teeth then went back to the old town for food. Cheap again yayayaya and we were both very happy with the quality. Bosnia you keep winning me over.
We then went to Gallery 11.7.95. It's a memorial of sorts to the 8000+ victims of the Bosnian genocide.
It wasn't free as I thought - 6$
You walk in and it's victims faces. I always like this type of display because I find them powerful.
You then walk into a gallery with some very very powerful images of the war in general. Some were very provoking.
There was also a video that we watched with more images and then a scenario skit.
One man in Rome having his photos developed in 10 minutes and then 10 minutes in Sarajevo where a boy went out to get water - attacks coming from everywhere and came back to a dead family.
During this film it came to our attention I had dog shit on my shoe and it stunk!!
We went to a shopping centre to loom around and I tried rubbing the poop off on the escalator spikes steps 🤗
We then went and had a tea/coffee and chilled out.
We saw the eternal flame 🔥 on our travels.
I bought Turkish delight or "Bosnian delight" as they called it 😂 but I ate too much I think. I feel funny.
I have started reading Jane Austins pride and prejudice and honestly my brain hurts. Who the hell speaks like that?
I've never taken so long to read a page in my life. You cant skip a single word. It's like reading Shakespeare - ive got to translate the whole thing.
I've read 35% tonight though so a good effort - it was completely free off the amazon kindle store too so happy about that. Don't know why it's free but I'll take it!
My super expensive left hiking boot has a hole in the bottom and I keep getting wet socks. Not happy. It means I'll need new shoes for winter - can't be walking around on snow with holes!
$$$$$$$$😑
I had a good laugh this evening - I was tempted to give the kid money .... Some gypsy kid was singing and he had about the same skills as mum except he had a microphone and was soooo loud 😂😂😂😂 it was awful.
And yet bloody fantastic.Læs mere

Sarajevo

We left at around 11 this morning - first grabbed breakfast in old town at the place we ate at yesterday.
I made a point of having a look at the main green topped fountain today as we passed as it's on like every magnet and obviously the symbol of the city.
Today's walk nearly killed us.
It was 5km to get there but it was vertical the whole way. We literally climbed a mountain.
We were dying and had a break every street.
I genuinely can't believe how steep it was.
I tried to capture it with my phone but it didn't work.
It was as steep or steeper than the street I drove down on the way to Wills - just past the hospital.
But 5 KILOMETERS LONG 😭😭😭 the views were lovely though ( I noticed this on the way back down - on the way up we were busy hyperventilating 😂)
We started walking through farms and ended on mud tracks due to the rain last night.
We spotted a few of the old ski lifts on the way.
Skipping the constant complains and woeful cries from both of us... we found the start 😭😭😭😭🎉🎉🎉🎉
We had a celebratory 10 minute break haha
Will ran up to the luge start - it was too high for me - I didnt risk trying in case I fell back down onto the piles of glass so I just watched him. He made it first try. 👏🏼👏🏼 only just.. 😝
He walked down that and I walked down the bobsled track until our tracks met up.
The track was so so so so cool. Completely covered in graffiti which made it look awesome. We walked down the entire track and took heaps of photos. Some of the trek had bullet holes in it. The walls on the straights weren't as high as I thought they would be.
It was so cool to imagine the Olympics here and how different it would have been (1984 Winter Olympics)
It was fun imagining everything from how the competitors felt to the spectators watching from the Sides.
We saw a few others people exploring too but everyone always stayed on set paths because there could be unexplored Land mines in the forrests.
There were destroyed buildings at the finish line which we had a look around and I popped a squat in because I was busting!!! Hahah leaving my mark in history 😬
Walking back down the hill Will kept slipping in the mud.
We came across 2 more bullet hole covered buildings we had agreed to explore on the way back down.
They had graffiti too.
Will checked all the holes for old shell casings. The second building was a mess. A bomb must have hit. We went in and explored. Everything was shattered.
Back down the hill. So steep it hurt our knees stopping ourselves from falling. I did land on my ass once though lol
There was a massive old landslide in the distance.
Because we were above the city, looking down was so cool! All the houses are slightly different colours. It's wonderful
Walk walk walk. We were much quicker in this direction hahah
MADE IT THANK HEAVENS.
We walked though many cemeteries - not sure if they are from the war cause literally everyone died 1996/97
Home woohoo we both showed because we were saturated.
We went out for burgers for dinner.
It was happy hour so we got double drinks. My pina coladas were amaxinggggghh
So tired! Lol
The music from the bar is so bloody annoying! Trying to read again and I can't concentrate.
The girl in our room left so we are by ourselves now. The worker hadn't been here today so I think, unless someone is in the other dorm and very quite. The entire building is ours.
I'll still be locking the toilet door.
I really like Bosnia. It rates very high on my list.Læs mere

A beautiful nothing day. ❤️
We were gonna go to the war tunnels until we found out they are 11km away walking or 30 mins by taxi. Was Not paying that fare so we didn't go.
Instead we went and got the same breakfast- chicken salad 🤤🤤 then sat in a hookah bar (someone bought a baby🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️) then i bought a magnet - in very pleased with the design.. before we went home and relaxed. I fell asleep.
Nothing else happened until 5:30 when we decided to walk 4.4 km because we were craving Indian food and there was only one option.
Our 9km round trip will help burn off all the fantastic butter chicken.
It defines hit the spot hah
Back home now - popped out in thongs for pomegranate juice and received some looks 😂😂😂 big jacket and thongs - why not? Hahah
I finished Pride and Prejudice. Not gonna lie, feeling posh and smug about it.
The last 30% is significant more exciting and easy to understand than the start. Maybe because I was use to the stupidly phrased sentences?
She doesn't just go next door, no. For that would be too easy. Instead She waltzes most certainly with frivolousness in step, the loveliest of kind she will find there, and certainly she will be pleased, most fervently indeed with the well mannered introduction Mr Jones will present to her, in no uncertain terms, with vigor; the meeting of families.
That is not an extract - I made that up but like seriously what the crap is that.
Either way I read a classic yay me and now I want to watch the movie to make sure I understood properly 😂
Went to bed at 3:30am.Læs mere

So tired lol
We walked to the station and bought the tickets. The walk was so hot!! My neck was dripping!
Getting tickets was easier than usual. No yelling match today 👌🏻 the glass infront of them is always so sound blocky.
We weren't sure if we would get the first available bus because it's a Friday and people might be off for the weekend but we did 👏🏼
The bus ride was longer than on the way there. I also felt sooooo sick. I had one of Wills motion sickness tablets which made me much better.
The bus was full. People actually had to stand up for the 2.5hr journey lol sucks to be them.
Arrived and bought our tickets to Montenegro tomorrow! Keen.
Then we walked to our hostel which is next door to the Bnb we stayed in.
People let us in but the owner wasn't there yet. We waited an hour - he eventually came. I was a little Annoyed because I had previously messaged him telling him our arrival time because he made a specific note in the booking to let him know.
But he was instantly forgiven - such a likable man! His name is Arman. He made a comment about us arriving at 4 (my message said 3) he must have simply misread it.
So far we are by ourselves in our room - the hostel has a few guests but not with us... yet.
We went out to dinner and I had the best pasta I have ever had. My mouth was in heaven. It was garlic with vegetables. Oh my 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
Back home now. Still so tired!
Still bloody love this place!
I got an ice cream on the way home and it was DISGUSTING! I made Will have a lick and he had to spit it off the bridge because he couldn't swallow. It was suppose o be pistachios but it was cherry medicine.Læs mere

We got destroyed by bed bugs 😩😩😩 I found and killed 3 so I know it's not mosquitoes 😒😒😒😒
We left and headed to the bus stop. We used all our left over change to buy food and snacks. Silly us. We forgot we would have to pay to put luggage under the bus... some kind Turkish man paid for us.
Oops.
The journey to Kotor took 6 hours but if they put in a straight road it would have taken an hour and a half.
It was bend after bend after bend after bend after bend.
And then some more bends.
Our driver had maybe 9 smoke breaks too which was so annoying . The bus wasn't full though so that was terrific and Will grabbed he back middle seat so his knees fit.
We arrived and it was only 300m to our hostel which was easy to find - no one was at reception so we had to wait a while for someone to let us in.
I have a top bunk AGAIN. 😭😭😭
I am so itchy! More bites are appearing by the hour. I emailed the hostel dude to let him know.
We dumped our stuff and went to the supermarket to buy soap and tooth paste and also in vain, we looked for tacos. Still nope 😔
We showered - such a stupid set up. It's just a curtain with nowhere private to get dressed. Sigh. Will saturated his pants because his didn't have hooks lol
It gender separated here which only a few hostels have been.
There is a funny rules sign. Rule 3 gave me a good laugh. the proficiency point hahahah (see photo)
We went to the old town for dinner. It was really quite and dark so we will explore properly tomorrow. Lots of cats :) We had a pretty cheap feed considering they use the euro - boo hiss.
WHICH HAS REMINDED ME - I STILL HATE COMMBANK. They were down AGAIN.
We had to use Wills normal card - Aagain 😭😭
Also the euro conversion is a dead set killer. We went to get out 150€ and then the atm was like that will be $254 is this conversion ok.
We said no lol. We opted for commbanks conversion which we don't know if it is any better but fingers crossed.
But seriously that conversion is ridiculous.
I fell asleep at 7 but people in the dorm woke me up at 12 then I had trouble going back down because I was so damn itchy!!
I have nearly finished my new book too - miss peregrines school for peculiar children. It's significantly darker than I expected. I had to have a break because the monsters where scaring me lolLæs mere

Kotor

Turns out Will got bitten too. We weren't sure but he has woken up with his leaky boils. 😷
Lucky we still had cream from Morocco. We put that on and got ready for the day.
The port is quite nice but I still think some of the spots we passed yesterday on the bus were better. Lake Ohrid is still my favourite bag overall I think. It has at least made the longer lasting impression.
We went to old town for breakfast.
So the official symbol of Kotor is a cat. There are so bloody many! But they are a symbol of luck for the city! There are so many cat stores and food everywhere. We went into a cats of kotor shop and I left with a mug 😏😏 it has all the different ways to say cat in other languages. The store also sold bags of food.
We passed another store with 10 lingering around a food bowl. One orange heffa was guarding it.
They are all so cute 😭
Will wanted juice so we stopped at a place that advertised it - we had such lovely tomato soup there I want to go back again. Lol
We just walked around the old streets. I like that it's practically empty. It adds a nice feel. EXCEPT TO MY COMPLETE HORROR- the cat museum was also closed. disappointed is an understatement. It is suppose to be 1€ entry and the money goes towards stray cat food. But we did read some of the signs and I'm gonna sign Thad up to be a friend online to the cats of kotor lol.
Outside was a funny sight but.
One cat had 2 kittens and some other adult cat came over and started suckling too 😂😂😂 it pushed the kittens out of the way.
Maybe a previous kitten because that's the only reason I can think of such a tolerant mother lol
We then went and sat by the bay for ages. It's really not that wow. This is the it place of Montenegro and I'm not overwhelmed lol.
LOVED BOSNIA. But so far this is eh. Keen for the capital because everyone has said don't bother going. That normally means I'm going to like it haha
We are now back home and enjoying some tea :)
We went out for dinner and were super cheap and shared a pizza. Good pineapple ratio today 👌🏻
When we got back I finished my book and have made the realization it's a series -.- which is bad cause I'm hooked and the books aren't cheap because they are new and recently made a movie 😐😐😐😐
We have had a few teas today in the foyer which has been quite nice.Læs mere

Kotor

Horrid sleep.
Was still wide awake at 4am 😪
Luckily Will slept through his alarm so we didn't get up until around 1 😏😏
It's shit weather today so our plans to climb up the mountain got canned. Not that disappointed to be honest.. it's really high 😂
Went down to the bus stop to buy tickets for tomorrow but for whatever reason you can't pre buy them. Lucky there is like 20 options throughout the day so we will definitely get on one.
We went to old town for breakfast which was ok. The place is deserted. Everything is shut so It took a while to find food.
FUCK THE EURO 😭😭😭😭😭😭 its at 0.61 cents atm. We can't afford to lose half our money 😭😭😭😭😭. WAHHHH.
Cat museum still closed 😔
It has started to rain so we have taken refuge in a cafe.
The heater is great.
I ordered my first ever coffee. I'm a little let down. I will force myself to finish it though.
It then started to proper storm so we were stuck at the cafe so we got a lemonade - everywhere sells fresh lemonade, its the best.
It bucketed for ages but we finally made a run for the hostel.
I read my book and Will watched videos until it was time for dinner.
We tried 3 places but they were all shut because 1. Kotor is a ghost town and 2. Probably the storm didn't help.
We found a grill and it was delixiousssssss.
There was a black cat sitting at the door in the rain looking in through which reminded me of my baby boy so I cut my chicken up, went outside and gave him so much 😂
He would have been a happy boy. Good gracious I miss my cat.
Home now - Will stayed in the room on his convenient bottom bunk but I went to the foyer to keep reading and watch the thunder storm.
Bnb tomorrow and boy am I keen.
We also booked a Bnb for Albania tonight so glad that's sorted 🙂
Oh and important info I forgot to add. The place we ate this morning had a picture of a mans crotch frozen on the screen.
Heh.
We are both just really worn out. We have 5 nights in Podgorica to recoup but I've decided that when we enter back into the Schengen zone we will go do the big exciting stuff first to try get the bedazzle back.
We are thinking Paris.
The supermarkets are really getting to us. I honestly dont know what everyone eats.
They must have hidden shops everywhere cause their supermarkets only sell snacks. No meats no edible vegetables. Nada.Læs mere

We had to check out by 10 even though the hostel is practically empty so we just waited in reception for an hour before going to the station.
Bought our tickets and on we got the bus but first Will went and got a bottle of water - he came back laughing. As he was walking past the shop a man came out of one of the offices to go somewhere and he beckoned .... suddenly 3 cats waltz out :) they had a box and chair to sleep in for the mean time until he came back hah
It was a 2 hour ride and I slept the entire way. I don't know at what time I go to bed last night but I know at 5:38 I was still wide awake lol.
Arrived at Podgorica and luckily we walked the way we did because the plan was to meet the Bnb owners dad at the house. As we were walking a man approached us and said hi are you looking for bojana. Firstly, lucky we didn't brush him off because it's normally annoying taxi driers who approach you at stations and secondly luckily i knew our hosts name cause Will didn't have a clue. Yes, we wanted bojana 👍🏼
He drove us to the house.
The outside of the building is so ugly. The corridors smell like bubblegum.
The lift to get up to the 5th level is so dodgy lol hopefully
It doesn't break during our stay.
We just chilled
It's a cozy little apartment.
We went to the shops to buy some basics then came back and both had a 5 hour sleep lol oops.
I've wipped out my sleeping bag because it's cold.
I cooked us hotdogs for dinner which would have been lovely if the bread wasn't stale 😒
We both showered and then watched Big Bang for hours on the laptop. Unfortunately the Tvs sound isn't working for some reason so the dad is gonna drop by tomorrow to have a look.
It's 3:30am and now it's finally time for bed. ☺️Læs mere
