    Spain / Malaga / Gibraltar

    August 26, 2017 in Spain ⋅ ⛅ 24 °C

    25th August 2017.

This is one of those days when I should have stayed in bed.
Graham and I decided to take a bus from Malaga to see the rock of Gibraltar. Arrived there after 2.5 hours.
To go over to Gibraltar you need your passport as it is British territory.
Guess who forgot to take the passports.? ?? Guess who was not a happy Chappy??
So Graham has booked a bus to go tomorrow. Guess who is not going with him??
I took photos of the rock so I don't need to see it again. Might go to the beach instead or do some shopping therapy.

    Spain / Malaga

    August 23, 2017 in Spain ⋅ 🌙 23 °C

    22nd August 2017.
Arrived in Malaga this morning. Great.....nice and hot. Went for a walk to get our bearings. Lovely beach. Going to spend the day there tomorrow and get cooked. Bugger the sight seeing.
Went and had a wine down the road then found a restaurant and dad and I shared a paella...black from squid ink.
Absolutely yummy. And two bottles of the local vino.....cheap and delicious.

More photos of Rhonda. Lovely gardens surround the Palace of the Moorish King. Gardens designed by the great French landscape architect Forestier and laid in 1912 at request of the Duchess of Parcent who owned the palace at those days.Read more

    Spain/ Malaga/ Mijas

    August 27, 2017 in Spain ⋅ ⛅ 27 °C

After all the walking we of course had to rest and eat and drink again. With the great views in the background.
Dad didn't go to Gibraltar today as he planned. We decided to come here instead. Good choice.
All is forgiven. He bought me a nice blue bracelet cause he liked the colour and he said it would suit me. He said he still loves me as he knew I felt bad about him missing out on seeing that Rock!

    Spain / Malaga / Rhonda

    August 26, 2017 in Spain ⋅ ⛅ 23 °C

After our sightseeing it was so hot we had to stop to quench our thirst of Course! The boys tried the local beers and the girls tried the local drink done with wine and fruit. (Sangrina) Yummy. Could be another bad habit. Then back on the train back to Malaga. The boys got sucked into buying heaps of nuts and dried fruit to munch on the trip home. Graham spent 35.00 and John spent 25.00. Oh well....it will last for a while.Read more

    Spain / Malaga

    August 28, 2017 in Spain ⋅ ⛅ 25 °C

Next on our stop was to see the Picasso museum which was closed today unfortunately (Sunday ) or fortunately in my case as I am not a Picasso fan. Went to see where he lived and see some of his works. Not my cup of tea but Graham likes his works so he bought a book. More weight in our luggage. Not allowed to take photos so nothing much to show here. Also lots of nice parks in the city centre.Read more

    August 25, 2017 in Spain ⋅ ⛅ 25 °C

More photos of this amazing place. According to local legend, the Muslim King Abomelic built this structure in the days when Rhonda occupied a strategic position on the border between Castile and what would become the Nasrid Kingdom of Grenada. About 14th century. Graham who is scared of heights nearly shit himself when he realized he was standing on the overhanging balcony using his video. He didn't realize till we walked around to the other side and he looked back. He! He!Read more

    August 25, 2017 in Spain ⋅ ⛅ 25 °C

    24th August 2013.
This morning we took a train to Rhonda. It took us just under 2 hours.
Some one on our cruise said it was a ^ must see ^ destination. And they were so right. What a cliff hanger of a place.
By the entrance to the fortress there was also a bullring but we had no time to go and see it.
