Ban Thung Wa Nok

Gli ultimi 10 giorni (dal 29.2 al 9.3) li ho passati nella regione di Khao Lak.
Il 29 sono arrivata in un hotel con piscina per rilassarmi prima dei 5 giorni di avventura e diving con Similam Dive Safaris e i miei amici Eliot e Cassandra.
Il 1. Marzo in serata ci siamo troviamo trovati al dive center dove dopo aver preparato l’attrezzatura e compilato le varie scartoffie, ci siamo spostati sulla barca del liveabord.
Qui abbiamo passato 5 giorni e 5 notti ad immergerci tra le isole Similan, Surin e Richelieu Rock. Abbiamo visto tantissima vita sottomarina, abbiamo mangiato benissimo e devo dire che ho dormito anche molto bene, anche se condividevo la camera (minuscola) con altre tre persone. Sono stati 5 giorni bellissimi.

Dopo il liveabord sono tornata a Khao Lak in un hostello molto carino, gestito da una signora che parla poco inglese ma che è gentilissima.
La camera è molto grande, pulita e molto bella.
A Khao Lak non ho fatto molto se non stare un po’ in spiaggia, riposare e camminare per le viuzze e per il suo bel mercato.

Ho anche festeggiato il mio compleanno all’8.3 qui, con Eliot e Cassandra che mi hanno invitata a cena.
Per finire in bellezza la giornata, la signora dell’ostello mi ha regalato una tortina con tanto di candeline.

L’unica pecca è l’infezione all’orecchio sinistro che mi perseguita e che ora sto curando con antibiotici e goccie auricolari dopo una visita dal dottore…spero che passi in fretta 🙏

Nel pomeriggio mi sposto a Phuket Airport, dove mi preparo per la mia prossima meta ed avventura.

I spent the last 10 days (from 29.2 to 9.3) in the Khao Lak region.
On the 29th I arrived at a hotel with a swimming pool to relax before the 5 days of adventure and diving with Similam Dive Safaris and my friends Eliot and Cassandra.
On March 1st in the evening we found ourselves at the dive center where after having prepared the equipment and filled out the various paperwork, we went on the liveaboard boat.
Here we spent 5 days and 5 nights diving between the Similan, Surin and Richelieu Rock islands. We saw a lot of underwater life, we ate very well and I must say that I also slept very well, even though I shared the (tiny) room with three other people. They were 5 beautiful days.

After the liveabord I returned to Khao Lak to a very nice hostel, run by a lady who speaks little English but is very kind.
The room is very large, clean and very nice.
In Khao Lak I didn't do much except stay on the beach for a while, rest and walk through the streets and its beautiful market.

I also celebrated my birthday at 8.3 here, with Eliot and Cassandra inviting me to dinner.
To end the day in style, the hostel lady gave me a cake complete with candles.

The only bad part is the left ear infection that haunts me and which I am now treating with antibiotics and ear drops after a visit to the doctor... I hope it heals quickly 🙏

In the afternoon I move to Phuket Airport, where I prepare for my next destination and adventure.Read more
