Started the day waiting outside Fortitude Bakery, a London icon, especially their Beignets. It’s very popular and there’s a long line up to get these delicious chocolate custard cream filled buns. Delicious!

Tom and I then when to the British Museum while the girls went shopping. The Museums main entrance is light filled and spectacular. Unfortunately we were there with thousands of school kids which made it difficult to see things, but it was still very interesting.

Then it was off to Liberty. I’ve always wanted to go there, so I combined it with a visit to Trinny London as there is a counter in the store. Had a lovely hour having a mini facial and getting my makeup done! Liberty is a beautiful building and there was a Bridgeton display, as well as gorgeous fabrics and furniture. Everything is outrageously expensive, but what a place!

After a quick pub meal we then went to see a performance of Cabaret. Tom and I loved it, but the girls weren’t as keen. Then there was a completely frustrating half an hour trying to find the tube station! Sometimes Google Maps is a big pain in the arse! We finally gave up and caught an Uber home.Read more

British Museum

Kultur und Geschichte war heute das Tagesprogramm. Wir besuchten das British Museum. Am Anfang war es cool. So viele interessante Dinge zu sehen und (versuchen) zu lesen. Aber mit der Zeit wurde es etwas langwilig und die Leute gingen mir auf die Nerven. Ein regelrechtes Gedränge und Geschupse. Man konnt nich mehr nahe genug an die Ausstellungsgegenstände stehen und die Infotafel lesen, weil jeder ein Selfie von sich davor machen wollte. Meine Fresse die Menschheit wird immer egoistischer 😤
(Sorry für den Ausdruck aber es musste gesagt werden).
Danach waren wir so müde davon, dass es nur noch einen Kaffee gab und wir dann nach Hause gingen 😅

Empieza el viaje

Después de la comilona del día 24 y que Laura llegara de party a las 7 de la mañana, empacamos cosas en Jaén y tomamos rumbo a Málaga. Pablo y Ana tenían que cambiar la maleta y coger los últimos detalles del viaje.

Una vez comidos en lo único abierto, un 100 montaditos, cogimos el coche hacia el aeropuerto. A las 15:30 ya estabamos allí y el vuelo salía a las 17:50. Como la app de Norwegian no funcionaba, fuimos al mostrador a preguntar, y lli nos dieron las tarjetas de embarque, facturamos gratis y nos dirigimos a pasar el arquito y a esperar dentro.

Tras un vuelo puntual y tranquilo, a las 19:20, hora de UK, aterrizamos en Gatwick. Un conductor muy amable les llevó al hotel (1:30 horas de camino) y tras hacer el check-in y cenar unos bocadillos nos fuimos a dormir.

Mañana: ruta por Londres.Read more

I've never enjoyed a book store as much as I did this one. Gay's The Word is the UKs oldest operating LGBTQ+ bookstore. I bought so many books because I genuinely feel so motivated to start reading again. It's amazing what loving a topic can do for your motivation. Check it out here!

Travelled from Clevedon today into Heathrow to drop off the car and travel on the underground to Russell Square and our hotel, The Royal National. Ran into some familiar faces and have ended up in another pub, Greene Kings, across from the British Museum.Read more

Nach dem Musical kehrten wir noch zu einem Cocktail ins Fitz's im Kimpton Fitzroy ein.
Das Kimpton Fitzroy ist ein einzigartiges Luxushotel im Zentrum von London.
Dieses Wahrzeichengebäude, dessen reich verzierte Terrakottafassade durch vier britische Königinnen gekennzeichnet ist, die den Eingang bewachen, war schon immer ein wahres Zuhause für Glamour. Das Gebäude wurde ursprünglich im Jahr 1898 entworfen – vom Marmor, so weit das Auge reicht, bis zum originalen Zodiac-Mosaik.
Die Bar "Fitz's" mit ihren dunklen Holzwänden und den vornehmen Sitzgelegenheiten passte einfach perfekt in dieses wunderschöne Hotel. Mit Abstand die besten Cocktails, die wir jemals hatten.Read more

The dingier the alley the better the pub

The sun was shining in SoHo for our British music and historic pub tour.

We started the day with a hot tip from Georgia, delicious pastries from the Fortitude bake house in Russell square and catching up on some laundry.

Our pub crawl started at Piccadilly Circus with our guide Carlos and pub crawl buddies from stuttgart, Sweden and the USA.

Duke of argyll, a traditional Samuel smith public house with all British brewed beverages.

By the second pub/ pint, The coach and horses, Keyala brought out her newly acquired German with our German tour buddies who didn’t speak English and overestimated her German skills.

The dog and duck was a very cute pub where we moved onto the G&Ts.

Our last pub/pint was The ship ( previously known as The marquis) where bands like the who, the clash, jimi hendrix and David Bowie hung out.Read more

Heute Morgen merke ich, dass insgesamt an die 7 Kilometer in ganz neuen Schuhen nicht die beste Idee gewesen ist. Gestern war das Wetter einfach zu schön um da irgendwie Rücksicht drauf nehmen zu können.
Von der Baker Street hab ich Matty James mich in Richtung Liverpool Street Station leiten lassen.
Das war dann do h eine tolle Idee, weil ich einen meine Lieblingscomediens getroffen habe und mich kurz mit ihm unterhalten habe. Joe Lycet ist sehr lustig und war total lieb! Er hat sich verabschiedet mit den Worten: “Thank you for being so lovely.”
Mein Tag war toll! Mit einem riesigen Grinsen bin ich durch London gelaufen. Ich war glücklich! Und zum Lächeln bringt mich das Ganze auch jetzt noch.Read more
