Saturday market was an absolute delight and then off down the road for lunch 🥙 with Ian and Sally at their house. After lunch back on our bikes to the campsite ⛺️ before it gets too cold 🥶.
Stopping here in a small campsite while we check out the local bars and visit friends in Céret. What a delight this site unknown to us has turned into, probably the best I have encountered so far. 11 Euros a night in January including electricity and showers 🚿 plus a view of snow topped mountains 🏔.Read more
Left Besançon for Lac de Bourget as we keep going south. We failed to make the entrance barrier raise so could not gain entrance to our chosen Aire, so we moved to a different one and with a bit of help from friendly French motorhome owners we managed to get parked for the night.Read more
Besançon in Franche Comme, Nice 👍 town close to Switzerland. Arrived hear on New Years Eve and parked on the Aire by the river and only a short walk into town. Very busy with the holiday atmosphere and a big wheel 🎡 in the afternoon but all quite and lonely at night with nearly all tha bars and shops shut.Read more
Final night stopover of the trip is Honfleur as we make our way back to the tunnel.
This is a huge Aire right on the edge of town. Eleven Euros 💶 a night with electric if you can find any spare connection points.
Saturday morning and the market is in full swing so a quick wander round before heading off.
Made mental note to return here, it is my kind of town. Must be full of history. Old buildings cobble stone streets etc. The only thing missing is one of the Musketeers.Read more

I think that Malestroit is another one of those “Small Cities of Character” but I’m not sure about that🤔. Anyway it was a pleasant overnight stop on the way home using the free Aire close to the river and only a five minute walk into the centre of town.Read more
