    Our coastal exploration of Normandy continued to delight us as we embarked on another day filled with discoveries, this time taking us to the captivating Pointe d'Agon and the charming village of Portbail.

    Our journey began with a picturesque lunch at a small bistro on the beach in Granville. The salty sea breeze provided the perfect backdrop as we indulged in local flavors, savoring each bite while taking in the panoramic views of the coastline.

    The azure waters of the sea beckoned once more, and we couldn't resist the temptation to swim and cool off in its refreshing embrace. Awen and Nessy joined in the water play, their enthusiasm mirroring our own.

    Granville, with its cultural treasures and seaside pleasures, had been a memorable start to our day. But our adventures were far from over. We made our way to Pointe d'Agon, where the lighthouse stood as a sentinel overlooking the vast, sandy beach.

    As we walked along the dunes and the shoreline, the beauty of the landscape revealed itself. The expansive beach seemed to stretch on forever, inviting us to explore its tranquil shores. The refreshing waters of the sea provided relief from the summer sun, and we reveled in the simple joy of beachcombing and relaxation.

    Before concluding our day's journey, we made a stop in the delightful village of Portbail, known for its famous church. The centuries-old church stood as a testament to the history and heritage of the region, a place where time seemed to stand still.

    Our exploration of Normandy's treasures continued as we set out to discover the rich history and beauty of the Cotentin region. It was a morning filled with time-traveling adventures and scenic wonders.

    Our first stop transported us back in time to the days of windmills as we visited the Old Windmill of Cotentin. This historic structure stood as a testament to the region's agricultural heritage, its weathered blades whispering stories of bygone eras.

    Next on our itinerary was the Biscuiterie du Cotentin, a place where we could savor the flavors of tradition. Sampling the delicious local biscuits and treats was a delightful experience, and we couldn't resist bringing some home as souvenirs of our journey.

    The Plage de la Vieille Église awaited us, a place where history met the beauty of the coastline. The old ruin of a church added a touch of mystery to this deserted beach, as we wandered amidst its ancient stones, imagining the stories it held within its walls.

    As the sun began its descent on our thirteenth day of exploration in Normandy, we found ourselves drawn once again to the enchanting Plage de la Vieille Église.     While Awen rested, I ventured out for a short hike with Nessy amidst the dunes and along the beach. The serene surroundings provided a peaceful backdrop for reflection and contemplation. The rhythmic sound of the waves, the endless expanse of the sea, and the sandy shores were a reminder of the tranquility that nature can bring.

    Our day in the Loire Valley continued to be a tapestry of history, culture, and artistic wonders. In the afternoon, we embarked on a journey to Château de Clos Lucé and the charming town of Amboise.

    Our visit to Château de Clos Lucé was a journey into the world of genius, as this was the final residence of the great Leonardo da Vinci. The castle itself was a testament to the elegance of the Renaissance, and the da Vinci exposition within its walls allowed us to delve into the mind of the polymath.
