So this is where I am camping tonight. My sister used to live in Grants and I made a run to Walmart and it brought back memories. This is a funky town. But all said the people are very nice and the Czytaj więcej
Beautiful day and I did the hike over the top of the box canyon, and found snow. Talked myself over it all knowing the van was parked in front of ranger station and they would find me if anything went Czytaj więcej
So had to stop, good memories from my last visit to Grants, New Mexico
My sister, her husband and their youngest lived in Grants for awhile. It is surrounded by scenery but also alot of poverty. The Czytaj więcej
So did a great hike on the west side of El Malpais, more to my comfort zone. Open area, lava fields, great views and caves. Back to campsite to eat, read and sleep.
So just pulled in and wind is fierce. Ranger said it will calm down by sunset so will chill out and read until it does. supposed to have huge ruins to see.

Nice morning walk
Cliff dwellers and a gorgeous canyon..The 273 steps to see them were fun. There are cliff dwellings in the surrounding canyon walls also.
So this is my first visit to a Kampgrounds of America. It is rather empty in the area I am in, I am not considered a full size RV But they have showers, water, electricity and are secure. I will base Czytaj więcej
So if you have not been to Sedona it is a must. A bit of a twisty drive from up north but the canyon is gorgeous.
