It's an early start to catch my flight to Keflavik in Iceland - so excited this morning.

旅行者"Super" you really know how to entice an audience. Just to let you know, on one of our adventures to the States we went via Iceland. Half way across to the USA the pilot informed us that he was going back to Iceland as the plane had developed engine trouble! So, it is good to see a working engine again!

Here are views from one of the parking areas I stopped at, where I walked up to the top of a volcanic cone. It wasn't all that huge but I got a great view from the top as shown in the main photo. Asもっと詳しく
旅行者What a marvellous landscape to behold! Excellent and interesting images. I might be what I would think the moon or Mars landscape would look like! Isn't volcanic rock like that called tufa (or something similar) and doesn't it float on water? What an amazing day of wonderful and very different experiences!

旅行者Wonderful images...they reminded me of some of your Scottish ones from last year. I don't remember the "song for Europe" sequence at all but interesting to see that it has become part of Nordic mythology. You do know that you won't be able to submit your photo of an Auk into your camera club competitions under the title of "wildlife" even to spite any other bird photographers!

Just a short three minute drive away things are very different. Here the air is filled with the smell of sulphur and as you move along the boardwalks the smell gets much stronger. You know the one ...もっと詳しく
旅行者A mixture of the two I think. There was boiling water in there which was actually quite violent, bubbling up at least 3m or more. The walkway was far enough away to be safe, though if you stood at the end too long you'd get wet from the steam. Those two guys looked quite damp.
