Spent the day biking around the northern part of Itoshima peninsula. Stopped at a small seaside restaurant for red sea bream and chazuke (pour green tea over the rice).
The Town of White Walls is like taking a walk back in time. This peaceful, quiet street is lined with traditional Edo-style merchant houses and shops, all painted in white. And apparently the goldfish Czytaj więcej
Staying a couple nights in Tokuyama while exploring the surrounding area. Wandered into a neighborhood ramen shop, extremely small, just a few bar-style seats. The husband and wife running the shop Czytaj więcej
There’s a lot I can probably write about the history of this region, like how Kintai bridge is one of the most beautiful and famous footbridges in Japan. But I think instead I’ll focus on the Czytaj więcej
Apparently this is one of the best places to see the sunset in Japan, but I caught the 17:40 train back to Tokuyama and didn’t stay.
Japanese garden, azaleas still blooming, and a short hike up to the ruins of Fukuoka castle.
