Saigon . Modern busy , home to 14 million people , best to come here and experience this . Not done huge amount as it was 37C . Only visited market build by French at the beginning of the 20th century . Walked on the streets . Impressively busy , more than Hanoi . Tomorrow early departure to Mekong. Delta so best to go to bed . Lara’s done some maths despite this heath ! Well done .En savoir plus

Another full-on day with boat trip along Mekong river. We saw coconut trees and tried some fruit . Staying over with Vietnamese family in their village home eating local seafood and fruit - can’t ask for more . Hope mosquitoes net will work well over night.En savoir plus

Back in Saigon to say good bye to Vietnam.
Final show and final dinner . Also said good bye to Hieu our excellent guide who was like our ‘big brother ‘ for all this travel . We will all miss him ! We will also say bye bye to Australian family hoping to meet them again in future . Really cool people we were lucky again . It started raining now - proper tropical rain and lightning so time to move on . We will miss this wonderful country ,totally delicious food and people we have met on our way.En savoir plus

What a huge city , never ending skyscrapers , busy streets , markets and shops . First day just had a gentle trip to the other side of the Chao Phraya.
Wat Arun impressive but exhausting in this heath. So much history . Lying Buddha most appealing to Lukas. Later Chinatown with beautiful street food and a little colourful shopping girls done by end of day.
Finally admiring stunning view on the river from our hotel. All lasting too short as we are moving again tomorrow. Dreading another packing…En savoir plus

Enough of travelling and time for holidays . Ko Samed close to mainland Thailand but also isolated small beach. Love it but getting fatter day after day as food is only too yummy.
