Visited stunning Cawdor Castle. Privately owned for generations but opened to the public in the summer for tours. It is here I decided I really want a castle.

On the way to Inverness, toured the ruins of Urqhart Castle, dating back to the 1200s. Then took a cruise across Loch Ness to Inverness...no site of Nessy 😞

Breakfast in the hotel then 25 minute coach ride to Castle Stirling. Mary Queen of Scots, William Wallace and Robert the Bruce claimed residence. Stone bridge dates back to 1300.

Arrived in Dunblane from Edinburgh. Took multiple trains due to flooding. Went from Edinburgh- Croy- Sterling- Dunblane. Very rainy!!
