  • Transfer, Partying and Lessons learned

    18. oktober 2022, Indonesien ⋅ 🌧 25 °C

After our group arrived in the hostel in Banjuwangi after the tour erveryone except one person had the plan to go to Bali with a ferry. Although I wanted directly to Ubud, I decided that to go to Canggo, because I wanted to make party there. Also I heard also something about that place and I wanted to see if it is true (spoiler: yes)

Before we went to the ferry, we got in touch that at night it rained so hard in Bali, that at the main route im the south a bridge was broken. We were not sure if we can go to Bali, but our hostel arranged a cheap minivan to Canggo. When we arrived it rained as well very hard and some streets were overflowed and full of soil and trees and it was very very muddy.

On Monday it is a huge party at Luigis. Spontaneous I decided after the hard hike, that I will go with the hostel and especially with two American nurses (Amber and Sophie) to the party.
So we drunk before in the hostel, where I got closer in touch with Rekha (37, from india).

When I was walking outside of the grab to Luigis, I saw directly Anna from Bangkok again and had a good party with her as well. Wow, so randomly but so nice.

So after the morning hike and the long transfer I went partying, crazy😂.

The next day was only exploring Canggo a little bit, because It rained again. I hoped that it is not so much the case in Bali, but it is currently unfortunately…

    To Canggo:
Hipster place with so much traffic and digital normades and fancy restaurants. And surfet place as Kuta and Uluwutu. In the Restaurants very a lot of digital normades. Everyone is partying and drinking so much, what is not my kind of travelling I want to do (So lessons learned: Sometimes partying is ok, but not 1-2 weeks long as everyone is doing it in Kuta and Canggo and Uluwutu. furthermore it is to expensive and I rather spend my money and time for activities and exploring everything. I already made that, because I got with peoples in touch who stayed already 2-3 month with that lifestyle in Bali.

Although here are very much native English speaker (UK and USA, Australia) which is quite hard for me to follow ans communicate in the conversations sometimes.

As well to see all the white people in fancy restaurants and next by the locals work hard to build new buildings is not very cool to see…

Tomorrow I am looking forward to see Shawn from phi phi islands in Ubud again.

  • Ubud Part I (hopefully!)

    20. oktober 2022, Indonesien ⋅ ☁️ 26 °C

I arrived in Ubud, where I have met Shawn from Phuket and Phi Phi again as well as got in touch with his Dutch Group (Diane, Nikki, Gillian). Because they made an rafting tour, I Spender my first hours at the monkey forest. In the evening I had a very nice time with them, very funny. I heard now there from the Dutch girls again, that I look like Justin Bieber😂.

At the next day we went with a huge group zip lining at the tegallalang rice terrace, which I have made for the first time. It was a nice experience to explore the rice fields!

After that we went to some waterfalls, which was nice, but there are much better ones here.

I want to see more of ubud (more waterfalls and coffe tasting.) Here you can buy the most expensive coffe, which is made of the crap of a animal called Luwuk).

But I decided to go with the group (Shawn, 3x Dutchies) to go to Gilli T.

  • Gilli T

    23. oktober 2022, Indonesien ⋅ ⛅ 29 °C

We arrived in Gilli T in our Party hostel, which is 2/3 full of Dutchies. The island is so small, that you can drive around the with a bicycle within 40 minutes. I love that!! ( no scooters here)

Although I wanted to chill more, the hostel is not the best because of a lot of party😂. At the next day I enjoyed with Shawn and two Indian people smoothies at the beach and we went snorkelling. There I have seen turtles, which where ~1 meter tall. What a nice experience!

At the evening we went to a sunset boat tour with the hostel, which was so amazing… After that I felt not good for the first time, but at the next day it was ok.

At the next day Shawn, myself and one Indian guy went to the beach and chilled out there. So good…

Tomorrow I have to say goodby to Shawn again. I will stay two more nights here, because I love the small island😍

  • Resting and good life part II

    26. oktober 2022, Indonesien ⋅ ⛅ 29 °C

The next two days I chilled at the beach again and had a nice time with Aaron and Antonia. What a good life here… good food (Pizza and beer for 4,8€), chilled bars with live music and nice beaches😍

Now I am looking forward to go to Kuta Lombok so that I can explore more, because in Gilli T was not much to explore.
But I wanted some rest & especially with good friends here I had a very nice time (Shawn, Antonia & Aaron)

I also went to the barber and have short hairs now,(6mm) because the long hairs were annoying for me. After the haircut my barber played guitar and it was a very cool experience, that we sang and danced a little bit together💪🏽

In one evening I met one local from Gili T (1 of 80; two others are working for snorkelling tours. What a cool and chilled evening😂💪🏽

The most Gilli T workers were grown up in Lombok and they only work at Gilli T & visit on the day offs the family in Lombook.

This island has not a big infrastructure and is it only party and drinking tourism as in canguu (they say here, is is the Mallorca of Europe in Canguu, Kuta and Gilli T). Gili meno and Gili Air are smaller and there were so less people.

They also deliver everyday a lot of stuff from Lombok with local boats, what a supply chain.. (In Koh Tao and Koh Phangan they did that with bigger ferries, also because of the longer distance)

Now I am looking forward to explore Kuta Lombok with Aaron & Antonia. I also booked a flight to Bangkok on the 4th November to explore North Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. I will fligh with the same plane as Aaron and Antonia.
We also want to explore Bangkok, because we made only party there 😂

(Last pic: the minivan shuttles are driving at Indonesian time, which means they wait until the van is full, so it could take hours..😂🤦🏼‍♂️)

  • Kuta Lombok exploring

    28. oktober 2022, Indonesien ⋅ ⛅ 27 °C

I arrived with Aaron and Antonia as well as with Oliver (Catched him up in the hostel) in Kuta Lombok. At the evening we chilled after food at Kuta Beach.

At the next day we explored one beach, where it is usual, that water buffalos are going on that beach, so it was nice to see that. After that we explored one waterfall on the way, where no one was there, so it was relaxed to go there 💪🏽 After That, Oli and myself chilled for the rest of the day at Bay, which was very chilled. So less tourists are here in Kuta Lombok, what I really enjoy 😍

In the evening we played cards and got in touch with Hidde from my hostel, very chilled and nice evening!

The day after we relaxed on another quite beach, but unfortunately Oli, Aaron and Antonia are not feeling good right now🥲
We saw the sunset on a very nice viewpoint, which was fucking amazing!

  • Waterfall exploring and bat cave

    29. oktober 2022, Indonesien ⋅ ⛅ 29 °C

At the next day Oliver and myself explored a waterfall with 1 1/2 h drive one way. The waterfall was very stunning to see. Afterwards we played domino with some locals💪🏽

In the evening I went with him and two other persons from the hostel to a bat cave. There we have seen so many bats. Also I have seen for my first time, when bats came out after sunset of their cave to grab food. So amazing!

Now it’s time to go with Oliver to Nusa Penida.

  • Nusa Penida is beautiful

    31. oktober 2022, Indonesien ⋅ ⛅ 26 °C

After I arrived with Oli in Nusa, we watched the sunset in the evening. In the next morning we woke up early to explore the Kelingking Beach.

(Nusa is known for its many day-tourists and for the cliffs and landscapes and not so for swimming in beaches)

We haven't seen a lot of the day-tourists there, because we were there early. Not a lot of people went down to the beach, the most only take Instagram photos, but for sure we did!

I went into the water, but the waves were heavy. I was quite often taken away from broken waves. They had really much power and to get in touch, that I had no control over my body was an experience worth. Unfortunately my older swimming trunk was damaged there😂

After that we (I) decided to go to a natural swimming pool, where the way to that was very hard to drive😂. Well, we survived😂

After that we wanted to go to the Broken Beach (tourist attraction) and luckily when we arrived, all day- tourists went away from that spot😂

On the way to the broken Beach we went to the Billabong Beach, where we got another experience of how much power the water has (water on cliffs).

At the broken beach I was able to see 7-8 mantas, 7-10 defins(and jumping outside of the water 😍) as well as one turtle. So cool & all at one spot!

In summary it was a hard, exhausting but a fucking amazing day with Oli.

p.s. I recognize that I treat me right with the food here. After arriving in Bali I haven't eaten a lot of local food 😂.

  • Crousing trough Nusa Penida

    1. november 2022, Indonesien ⋅ ⛅ 29 °C

At the next day we explored the Diamond Beach, the Manta viewpoint and saw the sunset at the crystal beach.

At the diamond beach it was hard to get down again and it was also very hot again. The last ~10 days very crazy hot with the sun.

We got again in contact, that all the people just came here to take their nice photos and do not go down to the beach. Very annoying here with these day-tourists. After that we went to some viewpoints nearby & I have seen a group of 8 people, who waited, that everyone of them gets on the same place the best photo, so crazy with these touristic-photo spots.

We wanted to go to a snorkelling place, where we could see mantas, but we went unfortunately to the manta point, where a resort will gets build. Less tourists and the view was amazing!
The investor also said, that the diamond and the klingking beach are no natural beaches & there is only sand because of that tourists come😂 wtf haha. He does the same for his Resort. The view was fucking insane.

Oliver drove all the time so crazy (he has motorbike experience) and we really enjoyed driving through the silent areas and nature!

At the evening we saw the sunset at the crystal beach, where we chilled out the day😂

Tomorrow we go in the morning to uluwatu.

  • Uluwatu is chilled and bye Indonesia

    3. november 2022, Indonesien ⋅ ⛅ 29 °C

After I arrived with Oli in uluwatu, our bungalow was cheap, but not the best. We were surprised, that they want build for 5 years already a foodbridge for arriving in Sanur (Harbour) by boat, but there is still nothing there, WTF.

We walked to the nearest beach after checking in and chilled there the whole day till the sunset. So relaxed after Nusa 💪🏽

At the next day we rented a scooter and went to the uluwatu temple, which was cool. We have seen, how a monkey stoled sunglasses from a tourist, which was so funny😂. At the first time I was scared of monkeys..

After that Oliver wanted to drive at country roads to the east coast of uluwatu, which was not possible, because the streets were so shitty. But he loves driving around with the scooter and speeds so up, so nice 😂.

At the east coast we only saw, how nice everything gets prepared for the G20 in Bali. It was not soo nice there also because of the traffic on this way. We also saw quite a lot of lost places nearby a golf resort at the west coast, but unfortunately everyone was guarded by a security person.

We rested till the evening at a beach close to the bungalow, where we explored the cliffs and got again in touch with the surfers and the big in Indonesia.

I had to say goodbye to Oli after ~9 days together, because he is going to Australia and I am going tomorrow to Bangkok with Antonia and Aaron. Now I am staying very close to the airport, but the dorm looks very uncomfortable and dirty😂

Uluwatu was very chilled and relaxed and had good vibes as well as was family friendly.

Indonesia is so big and I could explore so much more. [75% of 280 million habitants live in Java].

Indonesia was so nice for me, especially the two sunrise hikes at Bromo and Ijen & I felt so glad to got in touch with Shawn, Antonia and Aaron again. I also enjoyed the time with Oli, because he is so relaxed and has a very nice attitude of life.

Now I am sitting at a Warung (food court in Indonesia) and I am eating my standard food: Me Goreng and Nasi goreng😂.

  • Bangkok 2.0

    7. november 2022, Thailand ⋅ ⛅ 31 °C

After surviving in a very unclean and uncomfortable hostel dorm I flew with Aaron amd Antonia to Bangkok, so that we can do some sightseeing💪🏽🙏😂

After landing we got in touch with Wanna from Myanmar. [he began travelling with 17, workes for Netflix]
We catched up for lunch and some drinks for the evening 😂 haha

Although I was not fit, I woke up at 7:30 and and did some sightseeing - it was very cool 😂💪🏽
After that Wanna showed us a Myanmar-restaurant and we shared our orders, nice!
At the evening we catched up with Wanna’s friends and had a cool night💪🏽.

Today we went shopping, because we all needed needed some new things and the mall had 8 floors😂 nice shopping day 💪🏽😂
We payed for the ticked for a half an hour drive 0,21€.

Now we are going with the night bus (~9h) to Chiang Mai may to see the yearly Loy Krathong Festival. Also we want to do nice activities😂💪🏽.

  • Chiang Mai Loy Krathong

    8. november 2022, Thailand ⋅ 🌙 24 °C

After 9h bus drive we arrived in Chiang Mai and were able to see the Loy krathong light festival.

    [You celebrate this festival usual with lanterns and all your bad things fly away with this action. In the past they celebrated the ending of the raining season with it;
To secure the airspace for planes and not wasting plastic, they tried out a new option: the bad thing go away with throwing a candle with decorations inside into the river.]

It was a very nice evening with Aaron and Antonia, we saw a parade as well as went to the river and saw there a fireworks. I also bought a candle with deco, that all bad things of myself should fly away 🤗💪🏽 at the last day I was also able to see a light show at the river as well as a firework nearby a parade with very nice wagons.

It was amazing to see this festival at Chiang Mai. Everything was so nice decorated and I really enjoyed the vibes!

I also did some temple sightseeing with Aaron and Antonia with renting a scooter💪🏽. Now Aaron, Antonia and myself booked a tour to an elephant sanctuary, which I am really looking forward to!

It is also impressive, that the “old town” of Chang Mai is surrounded by a mason and a river. [they said how the Chinese did to defend a invasion)

  • Elephant sanctuary and goodbye Chiang Ma

    11. november 2022, Thailand ⋅ ⛅ 28 °C

After one day of checking out and in to the same hostel with Aaron & Antonia I relaxed the whole day because I didn’t feel so well. At the next day I went to an Elefant sanctuary, and it was amazing!(unfortunately not with Aaron and Antonia, because they felt to sick 😭).

We drove 1 1/2 h to the sanctuary & after that we got some information about elephants.(80-120 year old, Asian elephants are 3m tall, African 5m)

I gave them food, caressed her skin and made them full of mood. After that we went on a shower, so that we can clean up the mood. (an elephant pooped three times while bathing and one stuff cleaned it up😂)

We also explored one waterfall, which was very cool! After lunch they drove me home.

I am now going to Pai with a 4h van. (I drove with a grab scooter, which costs me 3 times less than renting a car & it is faster😂💪🏽)

I had again say goodbye to Aaron und Antonia.😭 they will do the Elefant sanctuary and a cooking class.

Because of not feeling optimal I will eat some light food 😂💪🏽

  • Relaxing days in Pai (Private Bungalow)

    14. november 2022, Thailand ⋅ ☀️ 31 °C

After arriving in a private bungalow near the Pai river, I chilled out by myself. I wanted to get healthy, took some medicine and it worked out after 2 whole resting days💪🏽 I will stay in the private bungalow longer, because it is very cheap and nice. Dani from Malakka is joining me there some days

In general Pai is very chilled out. Very small and it has living vibes as in Malakka and Koh Tao. Very relaxed, smaller, not much traffic. I really like it here and that’s the reason why I will stay ~ 5 nights.

The next days should be again very chilled, getting healthier & explore Pai.

  • Analyze: Parasite and Pai Canyon

    16. november 2022, Thailand ⋅ ⛅ 23 °C

After I really felt better, I rented a scooter to explored a viewpoint, where I had an amazing view over Pai. Pai is so tiny (2500) and the nature is amazing. I also watched the sunset at the Pai Canyon with Dani.

At the night I pucked my whole food from the day out & my diarrhea was so hard, that I pooped water. After I drunk more, I immediately pooped it out again.
I felt so shitty, that I decided to go to the hospital (Dani was with me), where they analysed a parasite in my poop. Now I know the reason, why I am feeling so bad & it was not only diarrhea..

I need to take now for 4 days antibiotic and something to push my immune systeme.

„Stuck in Pai“ in another way…(because a lot of people get stuck here, because it is so chilled and relaxed in Pai, and yes it is..)

So hopefully I will feel better the next days, because I haven't felt this bad in a long time..

  • Antibiotikum ✅🔜Chiang mai & Rai

    20. november 2022, Thailand ⋅ ⛅ 28 °C

After arriving in Chiang Mai, I met with Dani and we went to a fancy food court. Because Dani is a little bit sick, we chilled in the evening.

After breakfest at the next day we checked how to cross the border to Laos. We will stay one night close to the border to Laos, cross the border and drive with a boat on the Mekong river to Luang Prabang.)

Currently we are sitting in a bus to chiang Rai, which takes 4h. (Better than driving to Pai, because of the fast minivan driving and a lot of curves).

I also feel good and have more energy to make jokes again!! I really long for it to be more active and being surrounded with more people, because the last ~10 days were ok.

  • Golden Triangle (Opium) and Myanmar

    24. november 2022, Thailand ⋅ ☁️ 28 °C

Although Daniel and myself wanted to make a trip together, he stayed at home because of he felt sick. So I decided to make my tour to the golden triangle alone with the scooter.

The golden triangle is known for its opium Plantages in the past. They grow opium (primary for Morphium and heroine) in Laos, thailand and Myanmar. (Other big regions are Mexiko, Columbia and Pakistan now)

So I was able to see at one spot after 1 1/2 h of driving the borders of Laos, Thailand and Myanmar, which are separated trough 2 crossing rivers.

After that I went to a opium museum, which was very interesting! (Growing and harvesting process, how they traded in the past and smoking pipes)

After that I had some time left and I decided to go to a spot, where I can cross the border to Myanmar.

    So I was in Myanmar🤪(for 15 minutes).

In the evening I ate a traditional hot pot with chicken, shrimps and beef with Daniel. So good…

Tomorrow we want to cross the border to Laos, sleep one night there and drive on the Mekong river to Luang Prabang.

    A new country is coming!!
