    August 17, 2019 in China ⋅ ⛅ 28 °C

Our plane was delayed three hours due to storms and bad weather in Beijing.
Flying took off at 11pm.will be a late night getting to motel, with an early morning of tours planned. Not much sleep on plane very nice food no alcohol only wine and beer. Our plane this morning was hit by lightning on the wing edge just a loud bang no damage. Interesting watching the actions of some passengers, one who pushes her way to the front and gets what she wants each time.Read more

  • Day 2

    August 17, 2019 in China ⋅ ⛅ 20 °C

What can I say about the forbidden City. Fantastic. so much history and they have preserved it so well. So many people as this is the last week of their summer here and school holidays. Teiman square is so big and holds 1 million people. They are getting ready for their 70 year anniversary so building fixing and cleaning up. The old president/ leader is still laying in state but not at the moment he's not there. Might be getting a spruce up. Apparently it is only his skin lying there with a flag crapped over him.Read more

Went to a great show tonight was fantastic going on another bullit train in the morning as we move closer to Shanghai.
Fascinating place with very cheap meals. A banquet at two different restaurants for 8 people cost just under ten Aus dollars each with four bottles of beer.amazing fresh food.
Very hot today was High 30s and humid.
