What an surprise , this place is
exactly that , an oasis in the desert. It has a small pond or lake in the middle and one circular street that surrounds it . Very cool.

I decided to go on these crazy purposely built cars that rides on the sand dunes. Then they stop and one can sandboard down the dunes. On the last downhill I hit a bump , split my lip open and scraped Czytaj więcej

We went to see the Nazca lines via Arequipa. We climbed up the lookout tower and saw 3 lines. Very cool.

Arrived in Arequipa and just walked around the city , Plaza de Armas and ate cake in coffee shop. I have to be up at 3am tomorrow to go on the hike at Colca Canyon.

Got up at 2am to be picked up for a 3 day hike at Colca canyon. Will stop at the condor lookout and then hike into the canyon. My troubles with altitude sickness started the moment we had breakfast at Czytaj więcej

I woke up , walked 100m up the Canyon walk and gave up. I rode a mule to the top of the Canyon.

I had to make a trip to the Bolivian Embassy in Puno to get my Bolivian visa. I ended up paying only 30 usd and not 100usd.
