Tenant Creek - half way there!

    August 3, 2017 in Australia ⋅

675km and we've made it to Tenant Creek. We left Katherine at 10.30am, and got here as the sun set at 6.15pm. Finished off Chamber of Secrets and on to Prisoner of Azkaban!

After that, the landscape got drier, the plants got fewer and the rocks got redder. But bizarrely, it is 10 degrees cooler - even though we are now in the desert.
Not sure we will be hanging out in Tenant Creek any longer than necessary - despite the fact that it is the major centre for an area equivalent to the whole of the UK, it seems a desolate place and we'll be glad to move on and get to Alice. Just under 500k tomorrow so a short hop compared to today!
