      Freycient Nationalpark

      Heute geht es in den Freycient Nationalpark. Es ist perfektes Wetter mit 30 Grad und Sonnenschein. Mein Plan ist heute eine achtstündige Wanderung. Es soll auf den Mountain Amos gehen und ein Rundwanderung entlang Wingless Lookout, Wingless Bay, Hazard Beach, Cook Beach und zurück zum Auto. Zu erst starte ich mit Mt Amos, da muss ich leider auf der 3/4 des Weges umdrehen. Ich habe so heftige Bauchkrämpfe bekommen, das ich mich nicht traue dort hoch zu gehen. Ich nehme Schmerzmitteln um die Bauchkrämpfe zu Stoppen. Als ich unten angekommen bin hören die Krämpfe auf. Auf dem Rückweg war ich richtig wütend auf meinen Körper. Beschließe unten meine schlechte Laune auf dem Berg zulassen und die Landschaft zu genießen. Zu Beginn klappt das nicht wirklich gut. Gehe trotzdem weiter. Am Wingless Bay mache ich im Schatten einen Mittagsschlaf. Nachdem Mittagsschlaf und etwas Schokolade ging es auch meiner Laune besser. Am Hazard Beach spring ich einer Bucht ins Wasser, da es megaa heiß ist, trocknet alles auf dem Weg. Ich gehe noch zur Honeymoon Bay und fahre dann nach Hause. Mach mich fertig, Esse etwas und bekomme dann noch die gute Nachricht das ich jetzt einen Flug habe nach Sydney. Nun kann ich mit einem guten Gefühl ins Bett gehen.Read more

      I nearly died

      Before mum has a heart attack, I didnt actually. Today we went on a hike. That tells you enough.

      3 hrs. 45 mins up the massive hill to the lookout then I thought, why not and climbed down the 1,000 steps to the beach. I mean it wasnt even all that worth it. Then we had to climb back up. All 1,000. I genuinely was not doing good. And then of course the other 45mins back down to the car park. Stunning but dear god why?!

      And that is my review of wineglass bay!

      The lookout is amazing and so worth it, even on our overcast slightly drizzly day. But those steps. No. Not worth it. I've seen many a beach and I couldn't even enjoy how white the sand was because I thought I was going to pass out. And then to add insult to injury a massive ant bit me. My foot ended up swelling up and the focus of the pain was right on the side. Turns out I walk on the outside of my left foot.

      So overall it was ok.

      We began the day by getting a coffee and sausage roll. It was vegemite and cheese, not as good a cheese and marmite sadly!

      Then headed down to coles bay for an early morning look. It is stunning and I would have happily stayed longer. But alas, we had a big hill to climb.

      Then we did wineglass bay. I probably should have written this in a better order but meh. For the vibes!

      Freycinet NP - Wineglass Bay

      Today we left Bicheno and it's beautiful sunrise behind to go further south in the direction of Hobart.
      Our goal for today: Wandering Freycinet National Park.
      So we drove through the brilliant landscape that Tasmanian East Coast is until we arrived.
      We took the Wineglass Bay Lookout route which took about 40min and was a steep way up up the hill. The vegetation is just brilliant. So weird but atmospheric.
      We stopped to catch some breath along the way, but finally, we got there. It was so beautiful.
      In the 19th century, that bay was used to hunt whales down and because of all the blood in the water, from above, it looked like a wineglass - therefore the name. Luckily, these times are over.
      As we had more than enough time, we headed down to the Wineglass Bay Beach, which again was a steep way, but now downwards. But the way was totally worth it, the place was fantastic. Unfortunately, we had to go back without much time to enjoy it. So we wandered off, blushing all over from the walk. Thank goodness, it wasn't that hot!
      And this again was worth it, because as we arrived at the car park, a Wallaby was strolling around our coach behind some bushes.
      After everyone arrived back from their walks, we headed off to Devil's Corner, a restaurant and winery with lots of sheep around. We tasted some wine (my fav was the Sparkling White Wine) and ate loads of delicious pizza.

      Wineglass Bay

      From the Lookout it's a steep walk down the hill to Wineglass Bay, around 900 steps the man at the Visitor Center told me.. 😬
      Walking down the super steep part, I started to regard my plan to make it a return trip..
      I met a couple on the way and they said, I should go for the Wineglass Bay and Hazards Beach Circuit. That way I skip walking up all the steps again.
      It's a 11km walk that should take around 5 hours, but they said, they have done it in unter 4 hours so far with 40 break in between.
      That was all I needed to here.
      I will go the Circuit. 💪
      Exactly 1 hour after i left the carpark I arrived at the Wineglass Bay.
      What a beautiful beach! White sand, turquoise water, the grey and red rocks - I love it!
      I had a 20 minutes break here, walking through the water. För me, to cold to go for a swim, but many people did!
      1:10pm I left to walk over the Isthmus Track.
      It was a nice and easy flat walk through some rainforest.
      30 minutes late I arrived at Hazards Beach.      Read more

      Hüt si mir im Freycinet Nationalpark gsi gah wanderä. Dert hei mir dr Hazard Beach Track gmacht. Bi derä Wanderig isch mä zersch zumänä Lookout cho, vo wo mä perfekti Sicht ufd Wineglass Bay gha het. När si mir zu a Wineglass Beach abägloffä.
      Dert unger hets när ä Warntafelä gha, dass dä Wäg wo mir hei wöuä gah, überfluetet sigi us nid empfohlä wärdi dert dürä zloufä. Mir si aber gliich gangä 😁 U dr Wäg isch nur äs paar wenigä Ortä nu chli Matschig gsi, süsch isch tiptop gangä 😅

      Chum dra dänkt, ha i scho wieder ä Schlangä 🐍 gseh wo knapp näb mim Fuess wäg isch 🙈 Di isch aber so schnäu drvo gschlänglet, dass dr Christian sä nüm gseh het. Nur äs paar Meter wiiter het mi nu ä Echidna vou verchlüpft wo bhabä am Wägrand gsi isch 😅. Nachdäm dichtä Gestrüpp si mir a Hazard Beach cho, wo üs genau so schön dünkt het wie dr vorherig. Dert hei mir äs pöiseli gmacht.

      Aaschliessend hei mir üs uf di letschti Etappä gmacht. Di het sich nu rächt zogä u isch nu rächt sträng gsi. Aber nach insgesamt 4 1/2 Stung, 11 Km u über 1'300 Stägätritt, si mir wieder bim Outo aacho. Jetzt si mir nu chli dr Aabä bim Grillä u mitemnä Bierli 🍺 am usklingä u am luegä, was mir morn machä😊      Read more

      Wineglass Beach

      Classée parmi les plus belles plages du monde de par sa forme parfaite et son sable blanc, la Wineglass Beach ne nous a pas franchement époustouflés (et l'eau gelée). Elle est jolie, certes, et a au moins le mérite de nous avoir motivé pour une rando sympa d'une journée.

      On a été choqué par le nombre d'arbres morts sur des zones très étendues, dans une bonne partie de la Tasmanie. Ce serait dû à une terrible sécheresse qui sévit depuis plus de 4 ans.      Read more

      Heute waren wir beachen ☺.
      Der Strand in der Wineglass Bay zählt zu den 10 schönsten Stränden der Welt. Am Strand waren nur seeehr wenige Menschen...richtig gut und entspannend. Der Strand ist nur mit einem Schiff oder durch einen Bushwalk von über einer Stunde zu erreichen. Für den schönen Ausblick, den weißen Sand und das herrlich klare Wasser hat es sich auf jeden Fall gelohnt. Unten am Strand haben wir das gute Wetter genossen und uns schön die Sonne auf den Bauch scheinen lassen ☺. Leider war das Wasser doch etwas frischer als erwartet. Vom Strand haben wir sogar eine Gruppe Delfine gesehen...voll toll 😊.Read more

      Wineglas Bay

      Nach unserem Abendmahl, natürlich Pasta, was auch sonst als typische Backpacker, haben wir auch wie es für gute Deutsche gehört, unseren Sonnenbrand begutachtet. Zumindest hatten wir jetzt etwas was uns in der Nacht wärmt, da es ganz schön kalt in der Nacht wurde. Wenn die australische Sonne da ist, ballert sie ordentlich, wenn sie schlafen geht wird es ganz schön kalt.
      Natürlich waren wir unter anderem auch Touristen und somit stand auch ein typischer Punkt auf unserer Liste: The Wineglas Bay im Freycinet National Park. Hier war schon einiges los und somit haben wir uns zügig den Hang zur Aussicht hoch gemacht, vorbei an den ganzen "Touristen". Da wir beide Menschenansammlungen "total lieben", haben wir schnell ein paar Bilder geschossen und uns eine ruhigere Ecke gesucht um uns einen Schluck Weißwein zu gönnen. Hallo wir sind keine Alkis aber an der Wineglas Bay muss ein Gläschen Wein getrunken werden. Jaaa ist ja gut, wir haben aus der Flasche getrunken, noch zusätzlich 2 Gläser hoch zu schleppen war aber dann auch zu viel des Guten.
      Genug von den Touristen, next Stop Binalong Bay, welche uns dann zu unserem Campspot deluxe "Swimcart Beach" gebracht hat, direkt am Meer. Ich muss echt sagen, ich hatte noch nie so einen mega Schlafplatz direkt am weißen Sandstrand und das dann auch noch kostenlos.      Read more
