      Botanischer Garten Rio

      Sind heute Wolken überm Paradies? Unverschämt. Aber auch ohne Sonne sieht der Botanische Garten in Rio de Janeiro einfach zauberhaft aus. Was für eine grüne Oase in der crazy Metropole. Seit Australien sind wir ja offizielle Fans Botanischer Gärten und meiner Ansicht nach auch Experten in der Beurteilung welcher gut oder nicht so gut ist. Der hier ist richtig gut und bekommt von uns zwei Doppel 👍👍.

      P.S. Außerdem war Andy beim brasilianischen Friseur. Er ist jetzt auch eine Blondine. Que lindo!!!      Les mer

      Jardin botanique et sambaaa

      Ce matin c’est chill, on se repose de notre semaine de rêve qui vient de passée ! En début de matinée on décide d’aller au parque lage, un endroit top pour brunch en ayant la vue sur le christ ! Mais on se fait recaler en nous disant qu’il y a une 1h30 de queue.. on se dit flemme mais on laisse quand même nos coordonnées au cas où on serait dispo à ce moment… mais bon on y croyait pas trop ! (ils envoient un message sur whatsapp quand notre table est prête et si on est pas là il la donne à quelqu’un d’autre, et on est sur la liste qu’au moment où tu as reçu le message, après on se fait virer de la liste)
      Du coup, on va au jardin botanique sans trop tarder et let’s go pour 2h30 de promenade dans un jardin tellement diversifié ! On a vu des petits singes, une autre espèce que ceux qu’on avait déjà vu auparavant donc c’est cool !
      Le jardin est assez grand, on se promène un peu partout et on adore ! On passe par un espace de cactus🌵 (mon endroit préféré du jardin), une serre à orchidées🌺, les avenues des grands palmiers🌴 ou des arbres au tronc orange et lisses. Et il y a aussi un étang avec poissons 🐟 (gros pas beau mdr), tortues 🐢(on en a vu une en pls et une autre nager) et des grenouilles 🐸 apparemment (on en a pas vu..). Les nénuphars étaient stylé sur cet étang!🪷
      On fini le tour par une autre grande allée de grands palmiers d’où on voit le christ hihi !
      Il est 15h30 et on décide de retourner au parque lage pour voir si on peut rentrer mais on peut plus être sur liste d’attente pour rentrer… et normalement notre nom apparaît plus.. donc on tente de rentrer en montrant le message et hop ça y est, on est dedans 😁
      Franchement c’est top cet endroit, on boit notre petit jus de mangue pour moi et latte vanilla pour Élise, au pied du corcovado, la classe 😎
      On rentre vers 18h pour aller à une samba qui a lieu dans le centre tous les lundis soirs. C’est trop chouette comme ambiance ! Tout le monde chante ensemble, les musiciens sont géniaux, ils font 0 pauses de la soirée 😵 Bon on essayait de chanter mais franchement c’était pas ça.. aussi, on s’attendait à ce que plus de gens dansent mais bon, c’était vraiment une bonne expérience !       Jardim Botânico

      Vor der Mittagspause machen wir noch einen ausführlichen Spaziergang durch Rios wunderschönen botanischen Garten … Und sind ganz aus dem Häuschen, als über den alten Bäumen auf einmal die Christo Statue im Nebel auftaucht.
      Ein ruhiger, grüner, friedlicher Park mitten in der Metropole, der die wichtigsten in Brasilien vorkommenden Naturräume*repräsentiert und dadurch Heimat für über 140 Vogelarten - und schwarzen Brüllaffen - ist.

      1808 gegründet, beherbergt der Botanische Garten auf 140 Hektar ca. 6500 Arten, darunter auch einige vom Aussterben bedrohte. Der Botanische Garten von Rio zählt zu den zehn wichtigsten seiner Art weltweit. Die UNESCO erklärte ihn zum Biosphärenreservat. Die 128 Königspalmen (Roystonea regia) der Hauptallee Barbosa Rodrigues stammen zum Teil noch aus der Zeit der Entstehung des Gartens. Neben zahlreichen Gewächshäusern, Orchidarien und Rosengärten bildet ein See mit Riesenwasserpflanzen, wie die größte Seerose des Amazonas, die Amazonas-Riesenseerose (Victoria amazonica), eine Hauptattraktion.

      Founded in 1808, the 140-hectare botanical garden is home to around 6,500 species, including some that are threatened with extinction. The Rio Botanical Garden is one of the ten most important of its kind in the world. UNESCO declared it a biosphere reserve. Some of the 128 royal palms (Roystonea regia) in the main avenue of Barbosa Rodrigues date back to when the garden was created. In addition to numerous greenhouses, orchids and rose gardens, a lake with giant aquatic plants, such as the largest water lily in the Amazon, the Amazon giant water lily (Victoria amazonica), is a main attraction.       Après 11 km (au total sur la journée) a de marche sous une température plutôt chaude (29 ºC), nous sommes arrivés au jardin botanique. Nous y avons vu de petits ouistitis. C'était rigolo de les voir sauter de branche en branche. Nous avons aussi vu de plus grands singes en liberté. On les a vus se nourrir. Il y avait aussi des abeilles beaucoup plus petites que celles que l'on trouve en France.
      Nous avons vu de grandes allées de palmiers et de jolies fontaines. Le jardin botanique  date du début du du 19ème siècle à l'époque où Napoléon avait envahi le Portugal. Le roi du Portugal s'était donc réfugié au Brésil. Il prenait un bain de mer tous les jours et tout habillé. Il avait demandé à ses jardiniers de lui faire un jardin botanique. Quand la guerre fût finie, il ne voulut pas retourner en métropole, estimant que, le Brésil étant aussi le Portugal, il pouvait tout aussi bien gouverner de Rio qu'il aimait tant.

      Le Pokemon d'Amérique du Sud

      Dès que nous ​le pouvons, nous allons à la chasse aux pokémons.

      Scarhino est le Pokémon d'Amérique du sud. Mais il a des noms différents dans tous les pays. Scarhino​ est son nom français. Ce Pokémon est doté d'une force extraordinaire qui lui permet de projeter ses ennemis très loin grâce à ses cornes. Ses pieds sont munis de griffes qui lui permettent de tenir parfaitement sur le sol et sur les arbres​. Ça lui est bien pratique pour récupérer le miel dont il raffole.

      Today we took a trip to the main botanical gardens within Río, which sits infront of the famous Tijuana forest behind it (3rd largest urban rainforest in the world, with a unique favela within its depths). Beautiful flora and forna, such a vast mix and with alot of wildlife on the rainforest side of the gardens.Les mer

      Day 3 - Rio

      Having fully mastered the metro in Rio we decided to give the bus a go to visit Jardim Botanico. Fortunately for us, we had the nicest bus driver ever who shouted down the bus when we tried to get off the bus a stop early and then when we did get off, kept beeping his horn and pointing us in the right direction towards the botanical gardens!

      Within the first five minutes we spotted a hummingbird and 2 toucans! We didn't spot anymore for the rest of the time we were there so we felt very lucky to see them!

      The gardens were absolutely beautiful!

      This afternoon we did a walking tour of the Rocinha favela. Our guide was a chap called Wellington who used to live in the favela. The locals travel up and down the favela on mototaxi's so in order for us to get a true taste of favela life we jumped on the back of a bike and were driven up to the top of the mountain, weaving in and out of traffic and pedestrians. Literally everyone in the favela travels this way, including little old ladies with their groceries! Crazy!

      From the top you had an amazing view over the city and could see the contrast between the favela and the city. From the top, we walked back down through narrow streets between the houses which are all built on top of each other. We learnt a lot about the history of the favela and the way of life there. The government provides the favelas with water and electricity but in order to connect a home to the grid the locals connect themselves to the main power lines. The result is a messy spider web of wires travelling in all directions. Whilst we were there we saw a man on a step ladder with a pair of pliers playing around with the wires - terrifying!

      Tomorrow we leave Rio and head to Ilha Grande. Our parting thoughts on Rio are that it is a much friendlier city than the horror stories portray. We haven't felt unsafe at all and have really enjoyed our time here.      Les mer

      Jardim Botânico

      Ainda estou fraquinha do dia anterior, por isso saímos já tarde para o jardim botânico.
      Foi um passeio tranquilo pela vegetação de vários países. O jardim de cactos é enorme e tão diversificado, infelizmente quando lá chegámos estava quase a fechar e tivemos que ver tudo à pressa.

      O jardim de orquídeas e o de plantas carnívoras estava em remodelação, fiquei bem desiludida até porque a entrada no jardim não foi barata...

      Ao sair do parque ficámos quase 30min a tentar alugar umas bikes. Aqui no Brasil é preciso CPF (contribuinte) mesmo para tudo, até para alugar uma bicicleta! A App só aceitava como estrangeiros Agentinos e Chilenos... O Valentim arranjou um gerador de contribuintes Chilenos e o Sidney conseguiu alugar uma bike à distância para mim. Ele já paga uma mensalidade.

      A nossa viagem de bicicleta foi mais curta que o tempo para desbloquear a bike porque ao passar pela praia de Ipanema, vimos um festival Rio Bossa Nova, e decidimos ficar. O sol a pôr-se ao lado do palco e a favela do Vidigal por trás a começar a acender as luzes.

      Vimos parte do concerto do Theo Bial que convidou uma suposta grande música e compositora Leila Pinheiro que começou nos anos 80. Ela tocava muito bem piano mas realmente a cantar não devia estar nos seus melhores dias. O Theo esteve tão melhor. Tivemos que fugir porque começou a chover e estava com frio.

      Jantámos em Ipanema no Zaza. Estavam mesmo incríveis as gyozas de entrada e a polenta com cogumelos, queijo e ovo que comi como prato.      Les mer
