      Day 10, part 3!🇩🇰

      Then we walked around the safari area, and up to the best part of the day. The Rhinos.🦏
      At first the mum rhino wasn’t super happy to see us, but her baby Moloto was being super cuddly. We patted him for some time and touched his skin and horn being careful of our hands not to get caught between the animal and the door. He wouldn’t want to harm us but if our hand got stuck between him and the door it would brake 😬. Then his dad came into the next compartment of the stable and he was also super cuddly and nice. I didn’t want to leave!! Our hands went black from all the dirt and mud they’d bathed in but it didn’t matter at all. Looking at those huge animals up close is spectacular and a once in a lifetime experience to spend some time with them. When we eventually left (cause I kept going up to them again and again😂) we went up the skyliner - a tall tower where you can see Copenhagen and the zoo from above. After that we went to the gift shop and got a few presents - Stamos bought me a Rhino cuddly
      toy so I can remember Moloto (like he did in Zurich with the seal we fed and petted, Inuit❤️).
      Lastly we went back to the office and the clinic where Stamos showed us the equipment he’ll have to take to Greenland with him in September in order to perform anaesthesia on the animals there. We also tried with the blow pipe (φυσοκάλαμο) and the gun and got good marks on the target! We’re going to Greenland with him in September😎🤪
      By that time we were all super tired so headed home to snack on something get some sleep. Big day tomorrow!
      A quick shout out to Stamos : thank you so much for all the experiences you’ve given us every time, the animal world is fantastic and our love for the animals grows more each time. ❤️ kisses to Moloto ❤️      Les mer

      Copenhague

      Une journée à Copenhague à visiter dans tous les sens. à pied et à vélo. Pendant les heures de rush la circulation à vélo est intense. Relativement peu de VAE ce qui ne les empêche pas de rouler vite, démarrer vite même si de nombreux vélo sont sans changement de vitesse. Intérêt à respecter les règles de conduite. Bien sûr la pratique du vélo est facilitée par la planéité de la ville mais aussi par des cyclistes qui acceptent les météos les plus rudes.
      Nous avons bien aimé les nouveaux quartiers construits sur d'anciens docks. Le quartier Christiania, un immense squat malfamé occupant d'anciens bâtiments militaires. aujourd'hui approprié par des occupants de tout genre y faisant leur propre commerce. une sorte de réemploi des gens et des lieux .
      Nous avons vu la petite sirène, mascotte de Copenhague. Et les maisons colorées au bord du canal, photo qu'on voit dans tous les guides du Danemark mais vraiment pas représentative de celui-ci .      Les mer

      Day 10 part 2!🇩🇰

      So after sitting for a little while in the office, Stamos took us to the kitchen and showed us the fridge and the freezer where they maintain all of the animals food. We took a box of apples and three small water melons and went on to feed the hippos!!!🦛
      There were three adult hippos, a dad, a mum and a daughter, and then a little baby one. As soon as they saw us with food they started coming towards us opening their huge mouths! It was funny to try and throw the apples in their mouths, and after the apples we gave them a watermellon each. There were people looking at the feeding and when we got our a lady asked Stamos if we’d payed something extra in order to do that cause she was interested in doing it too. He informed her that you can actually do it (which doesn’t happen in a lot of other zoos!) but she’d have to ask for info at a desk.
      This is going to be a big day so there’s going to be a part 3!!!      Les mer

      Day 10 🇩🇰

      Goodmorning from Copenhagen!
      We got to Stamos’s at about 4:30 in the morning. Had a shower and fell asleep till 10:00. Then we got up, Stamos made us breakfast (bacon and eggs!) and then he had some work to do in his office so we walked around the zoo. Copenhagen Zoo is a beautiful park with animals we haven’t seen before (pandas, polar bears!) and lot’s of small shops you can eat and drink from. We walked around for a couple of hours so Stamos could get some work done, and enjoyed the lovely day and the animals. After a while, he called me so we could meat at the Panda’s house🐼. He came all dressed up in his uniform and was talking on his walkie talkie. He then took us in to the pandas and we met the male panda Xian Air. He was eating bamboo and had his back turned on us, but we were allowed to pet his back! Who can say they’ve petted a panda??
      His fur was super soft and clean, and he was super cute too. We sat a bit there with his care keeper and then went along. We also went into the female’s house, Mao Sun, but she wasn’t interested in seeing us. Then we went to see the tiger 🐯 he was new to the zoo and very shy, but also super massive! They take turns with the female tiger who’s going to be outside and who’s going to be in the stable. They don’t have the best relationships yet, but hopefully they’ll get there!
      Then another zookeeper (I don’t remember his name but Stamos calls him egg master😂) took us to see the flamingoes and explained to us how they manage to help the flamingoes hatch eggs and actually keep them and not abandon them. This time they had loads of baby flamingoes around and more that were hatching, which is a big win for the zoo and the zookeeper since they’re his passion. After that we decided to sit and eat something small since we were all getting hungry, so we decided on a Mexican stall with tacos and nachos. They were super tasty and just enough for us to continue on our expedition around the zoo. Then we went and got some churros, walked back to Stamos’s office to have coffees and sit for a little bit before going back out again! ❤️      Les mer

      Frederiksborg Garten🌳

      2. juni, Danmark ⋅ ☀️ 24 °C

      Nach dem Park sind wir gemeinsam mit Buddy in den Frederiksborg Garten gefahren. Wir haben unsere Fahrräder angeschlossen und sind zu Fuß weiter gelaufen. Es war sehr warm und viele Menschen waren unterwegs. Ein Typ joggte die ganze Zeit denselben Berg hoch, bei 25 Grad strahlenden Sonnenschein.🥵
      Neben dem Garten befand sich der Zoo København mit einem Aussichtsturm. Dieser ähnelt ein bisschen dem aus Paris.😉
      Mein erstes Softeis gab es dann auch noch.😍🍦
      Buddy wurde es jedoch irgendwann zu viel und zu warm. Wir haben dann beschloss ihn zurück ins Hotelzimmer zu bringen, wo es kalt ist und er sich ausruhen kann. 😴      Les mer

      Tag 3 - Frederiksberg

      Nachdem die letzten beiden Tage sehr vollgepackt und aufregend waren, lassen wir es heute entschieden ein ruhiger angehen. Nach einem späten Frühstück machen wir uns auf den Weg nach Valby, um zwei Lastenräder auszuleihen. Radelnd entdecken wir dann noch den Stadtteil Frederiksberg. Finden eine tolle Eisdiele, einen Spielplatz und einiges an Bergen.
      Am Abend stellen wir dann fest, dass ein hervorragendes Sushi Restaurant in direkter Nachbarschaft unseres Hotels liegt. Sehr freundliche Kellner*innen versorgen die Kinder ausreichend mit Schokofischen im Tausch gegen selbst gemalte Bilder.      Les mer

      Frühstück bei Mad & Kaffee

      Wir starten mit einem leckeren Frühstück in einem Café in Nørrebro.
      Das Café heißt Mad & Kaffee und hat ein cooles und etwas anderes Konzept. Man kann sich verschiedene Sachen aussuchen und bekommt von allem eine kleine Portion in einer kleinen Schale.Les mer

      Kopenhagen Episode I

      Heute geht es mit dem Bike nach Kopenhagen (ca. 12km). Kopenhagen ist sehr fahrradfreundlich!
      Natürlich darf das Smørrebrød nicht fehlen!! Mhhhh fein!!! Im Restaurant ‚Christianshavns Færgecafe‘ setzen wir uns auf‘s Deck und geniessen es! Der ‚Freistadt‘ Christiania statten wir auch einen Besuch ab. Hier sollte man besser nicht fotografieren ( ist auch eine Regel). Aber spannend war’s…Les mer

      Zoo Kopenhagen

      Wer hätte das gedacht? Ich glaube selbst Fedex und ich nicht. Da wir den ganzen Tag Zeit hatten, wollten wir den auch ein wenig nutzen. Also machten wir uns nach dem Frühstück auf den Weg (zu Fuß wohl gemerk) und landeten im Kopenhagener Zoo. Ein netter Zeitvertreib aufjedenfall! Ehe es dann zum Treffpunkt der Kopenhagener Fanszene ging, mit denen wir den Derbymarsch gemeinsam machen wollten.Les mer

      Zoo Kopenhagen I

      Gegen 11:15 Uhr sind wir am Zoo angekommen.

      Es war auch gar nicht so leer trotz des nicht so tollen Wetters.

      Ein Glück war der Zoo auch in der KopenhagenCard mit drin, denn mit 25 € Eintritt finde ich ihn ganz schön teuer.

      Der Zoo Kopenhagen (dänisch København Zoo) wurde 1859 gegründet und ist damit der älteste Zoo Dänemarks und einer der ältesten Tiergärten in Europa.      Les mer
