Great drive through Northern Alabama! Curvy. Remote. Great views! This is said to be the deepest canyon east of the Mississippi River.

The hard cold spell is starting to dissipate in Northern Virginia. We are able to make it out to some great spots along the Shenandoah River. We are excited to keep exploring this area.

What an outstanding place! I’ve always heard great things about it. Confluence of a couple of water ways. Halfway on the Appalachian Trail. The Appalachian Trail conservatory. A definite must see.
The bloodiest day in American history. Over 23,000 soldiers killed, wounded, or missing after twelve hours of savage warfare. Very impressive view and depiction of this brutal day’s events.
