    September 28, 2019 in Malta ⋅ ⛅ 27 °C

    CitySightseeing Bus & Marsaxlokk

    February 11, 2020 in Malta ⋅ ⛅ 16 °C

In the afternoon, two students and two teachers went on a sightseeing bus trip to Marsaxlokk, a picturesque fishing village with a gorgeous little market. After that we went past the Mnajdra Temples and the Blue Geotto on the way back. Even though the heavy wind blew through our hair and the road was pretty bumpy, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.Read more

    Day 2

    July 7, 2020 in Malta ⋅ ☀️ 24 °C

We decided to visit St Peters Pool which is one of the most beautiful and stunning natural swimming pools in Malta and is located close to Marsaxlokk at the tip of Delimara Point in the southwest of Malta.
The sea at St. Peters Pool is crystal clear with an amazing azure and light green colors and offers excellent snorkelling opportunities. The flat rocks around St Peter’s Pool provide perfect sunbathing areas and the high rocks offer some shade from the strong sun.

    Marsaxlokk & Blue Grotto

    December 30, 2018 in Malta ⋅ ⛅ 15 °C

Today we went to the fishmarket in Marsaxlokk with a small bus. 🚌
It was really nice to walk thorugh the small market next to the see. It was maybe more than a kilometer long and there were so many people selling or buying something. Most of the time it smells like fish, that wasn't so nice. 🐟🐠🦐
Rebecca, a student from EF, and I we ate some shell fish at a small restaurant called Methew's next to the market. After that we went to Blue Grotto. We made a small boat trip around the rocks. Outside the rocks the water was warmer than inside but inside it was more clear so that we could saw the sand and some jellyfishes. At the beginning of the day the weather was really good but after the fish market it's gotten more cold and cloudly.

Day 61: Bites Bruises and Blisters

    April 22, 2018 in Malta ⋅ ☀️ 14 °C

Took a 7.6km walk to St Peter's Pool to enjoy the sunshine, dramatic cliffs and a picnic! Picked up a few mosquito bites and a blister on the way - darn it 😯
Ended the weekend with Lynne in Tal Familja Resturant (appropriately named) eating traditional Maltese dishes. Definately the best meal I have had so far 😊Read more

    Malta firework festival

    April 27, 2018 in Malta ⋅ ⛅ 14 °C

Well my day started off with a sports massage.OMG so painful but in a good way! Turns out I have damaged my hamstring in my right leg and have several knots across my shoulders. Half an hour just not long enough so booked another appt.
Then had my hair done as I am fed up of my frizzy hairstyle!
Lovely to spend the evening with Grace and her sister Kirsty browsing the stalls and watching the fireworks in Marsaxlokk. All was well until time to go home when we discovered none of special service buses were going in our direction!
Our choice was a 2hr bus trip or 50min walk or a really expensive 15min taxi ride. We choose the latter after managing to negotiate a cheaper ride after the taxi drivers nearly came to blows about it!

Day 26: Windswept at St Peter's Pool

    March 18, 2018 in Malta ⋅ ☀️ 10 °C

Marsaxlokk looks completely different on a Sunday with its busy and extensive market selling everything from fresh fish to shoes. Not so much a ghost town now. Bought some local sweet treats for our picnic at St Peter's Pool. This is a lovely bay to catch some rays and even have a swim (which I might consider doing in May!?) Took a beautiful 5.5km walk over the headland to get back to Marsaskala. Took a good hour so was nice to break the walk with wine at St Thomas Bay restaurant.Read more
