      1. Tag Koh Samui

      Heute Morgen ging es Frühstücken für ca.4,50€ pro Person. Danach haben wir uns zwei Roller ausgeliehen. Ich bin das erste Mal Roller gefahren und es lief dafür recht gut. Am Anfang hatte ich wirklich sehr Angst, aber als ich immer sicherer wurde hat es echt Spaß gemacht. Gegen Ende hab ich mich auch getraut schneller zu fahren. Unser erster Stopp war der Overlap Stone. Von dort aus hat man eine wunderschöne Sicht über die ganze Insel. Unser zweiter Stopp war der Na Muang Waterfall 2. Wir mussten ca. 15-20 Minuten hoch laufen. Es hat sich definitiv gelohnt. Lisa hatte eine Drohne dabei und hat sooo unfassbar geile Aufnahmen gemacht. Das hat uns eine Drohne sehr schmackhaft gemacht, aber sie kostet leider 700€☹️
      Danach ging es noch in ein Restaurant “Jungle Club”, wo wir eine Kleinigkeit gegessen und getrunken haben. Von dort aus hatte man auch so eine schöne Sicht auf die ganze Insel😍
      Abends waren wir nur noch in deinem Fisher Village und haben eine Kleinigkeit gegessen. Unsere Sachen haben wir für die nächste Tour schon gepackt. Seid gespannt 😘      Read more

      Chaweng Beach

      Took an early morning stroll down to the ocean, then had breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Afterward, we took the shuttle to an area called Chaweng and explored the area. We hiked up to a shrine and checked out a few shopping areas. Saw a massive spider in a web up in some trees. It had to be 6" long! This area is definitely a party area at night, but in the early afternoon, it was pretty quiet. It was interesting to see some impromptu gas stations for the many scooters driving around. beach access was very limited through resorts, and when we were there, it was high tide, so there was not much sand area. Headed back to our resort mid afternoon for a swim and relaxed, then ordered room service to our table by the pool - ahhhh paradise.Read more

      Wir waren gestern mit einer mega Aussicht schön Frühstücken.
      Danach ging es an den Strand und zum Schluss zum Essen auf den Nachtmarkt. Da gab es dann einen leckeren Kokosnuss Milchshake. 🥥🥥🥥

      Khao Sok —> Koh Samui

      Nach nur zwei Nächten in Khao Sok, ging es heute morgen auf nach Koh Samui. Eigentlich sollte der ganze Spaß 6h dauern, jedoch geht die Abfertigung hier so schnell, dass ich ganze 2h früher da war. Also mit dem Transfer von A nach B kann ich mich bisher nicht beschweren in Thailand. 😊

      Das Hostel ist auch ganz nett. Da hatte ich zum Glück auch noch keine Reinfälle in dem gesamten Monat, in dem ich bereits hier bin.

      Ich habe dann erstmal die Gegend rund um mein Hostel erkundet. Koh Samui ist eine riesige Insel und zu Fuß kommt man nicht allzu weit. Ich bin erstmal nur kurz zum Chaweng Beach, um Hallo zu sagen, und dann die Hauptstraße bis hin zum Central Samui Einkaufszentrum gelaufen. Bisher überzeugt mich Koh Samui leider noch nicht. Das Einkaufszentrum war riesig und davor gab es einen kleinen Markt. Hier habe ich mir ein Samosa und einen Crêpe (so wie wir ihn kennen) gegönnt. Danach bin ich wieder zurück zum Hostel. Nach einer Dusche und Planung für morgen, gabs dann noch Fried Noodles und einen Watermelon Shake (insgesamt 3€) im Restaurant nebenan.      Read more

      Tag 4 & 5 - In 22 Stunden nach Koh Samui

      Die Zeit an der Khaosan Road in Bangkok war am 4. Tag um 12 Uhr vorbei. Damit gehen sehr laute, geruchsintensive und stressige Tage am Hotel vorüber. Speziell die vielen Nachtclubs und Tanzbars mit unzähligen Lautsprechern sorgten für lange Nächte. Allerdings gibt es an die Khaosan Road auch bleibende Erinnerungen, wie z. B. Thai-Massage mit Smudo oder Skorpione zum Mitnehmen.
      Zwischen 12 und 15 Uhr war Zeit für ein ausgiebiges Frühstück und ein weiterer Besuch im Tempel mit „Sleeping Buddha“. Die TucTuc Fahrer ließen sich erneut auf 5 Baht (≈12 Cent) für ca 1 Stunde handeln und die Fahrt konnte losgehen! Viele hatten uns vor Beginn der Reise von den TucTucs abgeraten. Jedoch haben Sie für uns super funktioniert und wir konnten eine Menge Geld sparen.
      Um 15:30 Uhr wurden wir pünktlich vom Hotel abgeholt und zum Bahnhof gefahren. Der Nachtzug hat uns von Bang Sue in Bangkok nach Surat Thani im Süden über eine Dauer von 13 1/2 Stunden gefahren. In dieser Zeit legten wir in unseren Schlafkabinen eine Strecke von über 650km zurück. Ankunft war in Surat Thani um 8:15 Uhr morgens. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt war der Geduldsfaden schon sehr beansprucht. Nichtsdestotrotz lag immer noch ein großes Stück vor uns. Taxi, Reisebus und Fähre von „Phantip“ brachten uns reibungslos vom Don Sak Ferry Pier zum Nathon Pier auf Koh Samui. Bei der Ankunft auf Koh Samui war immer noch ein kleines Stück bis zum Silver Beach zu schaffen. Es dauert eine weitere Stunde bis das Shuttle unser Resort im Osten der Insel erreicht und wir übermüdet, aber dennoch heil und sicher, um 13:55 Uhr am Silver Beach ankommen.
      Zu diesem Zeitpunkt waren wir über 22 Stunden unterwegs, um zu unserem Ziel zu gelangen. Ab jetzt heißt es 4 Tage Koh Samui vom Feinsten!      Read more

      13. Travel 14. 1. Koh Samui

      Today we were woken with some of the loudest thunder we have experienced yet.. Not surprising we had a text to say that our snorkeling trip had been called off, we immediately got in touch with our transport as it was time to move on if weather was rubbish. Transport was a go ahead, so we got a refund from our hotel and moped. We packed very quickly and were picked up around lunchtime and headed back to Bangkok, this took us 8 hours, when we returned we ran to the next bus service, Bangkok to Koh Samui..
      We managed to get 2 tickets on the VIP bus which were quite expensive but we had a better chance of sleeping. We were on top deck so had a good view, they gave us blankets and we all had huge reclining chairs with loads of legroom, certainly beats Nepals version of VIP. We both managed to get about 7 hrs sleep in between pit stops, which was good. When we got to the ferry port, we didn't realise the ferry was going to take another 4.1/2 hours, we got on top deck and had a scenic trip through the islands. I must say that the ferry ride seemed to take forever as we had been sat down for nearly 24hrs straight! We can't wait to go to Koh Toa, snorkeling they have some of the best in the world and you can see why as we sailed pass with all the coral glistening patches.
      We finally arrived at lunchtime the following day and organised a lift in a mini bus to our hotel. We were messed around a little by our hotel but put into the posh one next door for the night, so we didn't moan. We had some dinner and headed down to the beach, right outside our hotel which is nice, first beachfront stay. The beach is beautiful but much busier than Koh Chang, we were expecting this but still paradise. The island is still as beautiful. We had a walk around town which is pretty lively, and I managed to kick my foot into an exposed pipe whilst wearing flip flops and convinced my little toe is broken so decided to crash for the night. As we wanted to be up and about for tomorrow as we only have 3 days here, as moving onto Koh Phangan on the 29th June. Our 30 days in Thailand visa is getting swallowed quickly!

      Bangkok > Koh Samui

      Today was a whole load of travel. From Bangkok we boarded another bus which went from 6am to about 1pm to a pier down South. I spent most of it sleeping and having to rewind my audiobook after being woken up to the sounds of Gollum in my ear. Once we arrived to the pier it was a completely different vibe, crystal clear blue water, sandy beaches, and alot of people ready to party.

      Eventually we board our ferry which was due to get in at 4.30... this was a lie. Our ferry went to Koh Tao and Koh Phangan before Koh Samui which in my head wouldn't take that long. Turns out it took almost 5 hours. We spent the first part in the shade before I ventured to the top deck by myself for better views and better sun. I sat next to this American rock climber and we chatted a bit whilst he drank Soju straight from the bottle. Eventually this other American older couple sat between us and like every other American, were very chatty too. Recommendations received, we eventually arrived at Koh Samui for sunset.

      We grab a transfer from the pier to our hotel and check into the nicest place we've stayed so far. Quickly sorting ourselves out, we head to the night market and I get another mystery meal with a mixed fruit smoothie and a chocolate banana bread. I grab a much much needed shower and head out solo whilst Alfie called Daisy, heading along the main road. I can sum up Samui in about 2 things, alcohol and weed. Every other shop sold one or both of these things. This was definitely where people came to party.

      After eventually getting onto the beach, I call my dad and wander down towards what looks like a fire performance in the distance. Eventually I arrive to the steady drum of bass and I stumble onto the biggest beach party in Samui it seemed. Men in black and white masks did amazing things with sticks and balls of fire. If I wasn't by myself I would have loved to grab a beer but instead I wander back to the hotel, watching some Brooklyn 99 (on my data as the WiFi sucks) before going to sleep.      Read more

      Der Flughafen auf Koh Samui ist so wie man sich einen tropischen Flughafen vorstellt 😀 Offenes Terminal und kurze Wege. Schnell brachte uns der bestellte Wagen zum Hotel und wir konnten nach 24 Stunden Anreise und einer Dusche aufs Bett fallen. Im nächsten 7/11 haben wir uns mit Simkarte und Wasser eingedeckt und Helmut hat eine neue Badehose bekommen. Zum Glück reicht das bis sein Koffer morgen hoffentlich ankommt. Abends haben wir am Hotelstrand gegessen wo es eine beeindruckende Feuershow gab. So kann der Urlaub weitergehen...Read more

      Das Neue Jahr in Thailand beginnt in diesem Jahr am 13. April. Aus diesem Grund feiert das ganze Land das Wasserfest. Einheimische und Touristen bespritzen sich mit Wasserpistolen oder übergießen sich mit Wasser aus Schüsseln. Außerdem werden Gesichter und Autos mit weißer Farbe bemalt. Wir wussten bei der Buchung nicht, dass Songkran ist, haben uns aber erst zögerlich und nachher offensiv drauf eingelassen.Read more

      Chaweng Night Market

      Badetag... und Paddeltag. Haben uns vom Hotel ein Plastikkanu ausgeliehen und sind ein bisschen herumgetümpelt.
      Abends wieder nach Chaweng gefahren, dieses Mal ohne Regen. Auch der Chaweng Lake hat sich in einem freundlicheren Licht gezeigt. Am Markt eine Kleinigkeit gegessen und auf ein Bier eingekehrt. Für den großen Hunger gabs dann noch Hummer mit Riesengarnellen und Tintenfisch - ein Fest!
      Später sind wir wieder mit einem Songthaews (Sammeltaxi) heimgefahren.      Read more
