Okay, first off, our little fridge is working! Huge relief to wake up and find ice cubes in our tiny freezer as the poor old fridge head a hard time getting cold yesterday. Of course normally you would plug it in overnight to cool it off before putting it on 12volt, but we basically turned the key and drove 470 miles!
Today was nothing like that! We drove into the historic are of downtown Savannah, parked at a tourist info area and spent the next few hours on and off the "Hop on Hop "off trolley. I has to say, after experiencing quite a few of these tours in various cities, this was by far the most entertaining! Those bus drivers, in their southern drawl had the whole trolley laughing as they passed on various historical tidbits. The city itself reminded us of a calmer, cleaner, far less crazy New Orleans. Not nearly as large as I imagined.
We headed north in the afternoon and settle into a campground in area called Points South, North Carolina. Right near the Coosawhatchie River. Everywhere along here is steeped in civil war history.
Big travel day again tomorrow.
