We camped at the entrance of the Petrified Forest under the darkest skies I've ever seen. The Petrified Forest is amazing and the story of the area is equally amazing.
The burial place of Billy the Kid and home to the Billy the Kid Museum.
The mid point of Route 66 and home to the Midpoint Cafe, one of the best experiences of the trip. Brenda is so hard working and as sweet as the pies she turns out.

The legendary Blue Whale of Route 66, we paid homage to this legendary piece of this historic highway.
We finally found our 4 star steakhouse in Joplin Missouri, and it was killer. Aunt Flo treated us to one of the best steak dinners of my life. Incredible.
