3 hour layover then home. Nice to be back in US.
Our final day in Europe. Tomorrow it's a 3 a.m. start for the airport and 26 hours of travel back to Bend. Finally found an IPA (pronounced "ee-pah" here).

In the town of Pilsner is home to Pilsner Urquel, a beer now colloquially referred to as Pils. It's one of the most recognized lager beers. And for good reason; it's a great lager beer.Read more
Our boat docked just outside Nuremberg esrly this morning and we bussed into town.
Once again the city scape and history take the forefront. Our guide gave background of the Nuremberg trials in courtroom 600 from 1945 to 1949 and walked us through the Kaiserburg Castle in the city center.Read more

At Johann Anetseder farm Christian Anetseder has transformed his working farm into a bit of Bavarian heaven. Here he hosts equine competitions, harvests trees and mills lumber, hosts weddings, parties and tourists.
We enjoyed a tour of the grounds then tapped a couple kegs of beer for a rousing party.Read more

How about a pipe organ concert? How about a pipe organ concert played in a huge cathedral on the largest pipe organ in the world.
Shortly after arriving in Krems, Austria we bussed to Gottweig Abbey, a active and beautiful monastery on a tall hilltop overlooking the lush vineyards and marrillen (apricot) orchards.
The four of us watched a demonstration of preparing marrillen dumplings. Tasty!!Read more
We arrived in Vienna this morning and toured the city until lunch time. Another amazing city full of history, architectural wonders amd the music of composers we have loved since childhood.
