Wow, what a disappointment. Route 1, drive the west coast road was the plan
However, last month's rains washed the road away and caused many rock falls.
So, we started as planned doing the 17 mileLes mer
To get a taste for what we missed because of the Route 1 closure we left Cambria and drove 26 miles north on the 1 to about where the closure was. Certainly some big mud slides were obvious.

After our first experience of LA traffic we found our B&B easily. Lovely house, quiet neighbourhood and Dolly the dog welcomed us.
Bizarrely being so peaceful we're just a 15 minute walk from theLes mer
Having breakfasted at our B&B we walked to Hollywood and took a bus to see the sites, views, and celebrity houses of Beverly Hills.
That done, purely for research purposes we endured malt shakes onLes mer
Today we headed to the beach, we'll Venice beach, Venice canals and muscle beach.
Then we had a nosey at the Le Brea Tar Pits.
Finally Koreatown and a little retail therapy at a couple of shoppingLes mer
Sadly our last full day.
A bit of Rodeo Drive window shopping after dropping off a couple of fellow guests to the shops.
Onto Warner Brothers Studios for a tour. Oh, did I mention the Central PerkLes mer
