      Ingapirca nos ofrece una muestra del pasado y nos permite conocer la cultura Cañari e Inca.

      Este teritorio fue habitado inicialmente por la etnia Cañari, cuyas huellas han quedado en una serie de estructuras habitacionales, conjuntos cerámicos diversos, metalurgia, etc, cos detalles vísuales y tecnológicas

      La invasión Ínca, luego de varias incursiones, logró imponer políticas que cambi la organización original y la resignificación del espacio.

      Con la fuerza de trabajo local y de mitmakuna emprendieron la contrucíon de obras, infraestructura vial y arquitectónica. Testigo de aquello es el complego habitacional y religioso de Ingapírca, monumento Inca construida sonre un espacio cañari, que está en conexion directa con el Qhapag Ñan.

      Los canaris se beneficiaran de ventajas de convencia social. Asi se convirtió Hatun Cañar en un asentamiento especial para vencedores y vencidos.      Baca selengkapnya

      Ingapirca und 6h Busfahrt

      Es ging gegen 7.30 vom Hostel aus los. Ich bin mit einem Mädel aus Holland los zum Bahnhof und haben den nächsten Bus genommen. Nach knapp 3h Fahrt mit einmal umsteigen sind wir dann angekommen. Wir mussten dann noch kurz warten bis wir rein durften. Wir haben jeweils $2 gezahlt und da war ne Führung mit eingeschlossen. Naja ich würde zwar mittlerweile behaupten, dass ich ganz okees spanisch spreche aber da hatte ich wirklich wenig Changse was zu verstehen😂 die gute hat sehr schnell geredet und dann noch mit dem Wind und allem... Naja war von dem was ich verstanden habe aber trotzdem sehr interessant 🙈 und auch einfach sehr schön muss ich sagen trotz das es zwischendurch geregnet hat, arschkalt und windig war und ich ganz dolle Hunger hatte
      Die Führung hat nur ne knappe Stunde gedauert und wir sind danach noch etwas da durch die gegend gelaufen. Für den Rückweg haben wir dann auf den direkt Bus gewartet und die fahrt hat gefühlt viiiiel länger gedauert als die Hinfahrt 🥴 wir sind dann gegen 16. 30 wieder in Cuenca angekommen. Ich hatte super dolle Hunger und hab mir dann erstmal Futter gemacht. War sehr happy weil ich die linsen fast so lecker hinbekommen habe wie man die hier immer bekommt 🥳
      Ich bin dann sehr früh ins Bett gefallen da ich von den letzt Tagen irgendwie noch ne bissel Schlafmangel hatte 🌚      Baca selengkapnya

      D'Busfahrt isch ned sonderlich bequem und ich schlofe glaub ned grad viel. Han vergesse, dass mis Nackechüssi es Loch hät und nüm funktioniert... Zimli müed chumi am Morge am achti im Hostel a und chan sogar grad s'Zimmer bezieh. Nach bitz umegammle machi mi uf de Weg zrugg zum Busterminal für d'Fahrt nach Ingapirca, em Machu Picchu vo Ecuador. Nach ewigs warte bis de Bus fahrt, zweiehalb Fahrstunde und eimal umstiege spöter chumi immerna müed und au sus ned so fit dete a. S'Dörfli isch super friedlich und d'Ruine ligged es bitz usserhalb ufeme Hügeli. Ich bueche e Tour und warte wider e Stund bis si losgoht. I dere Ziit gnüssi d'Rueh und bsueche churz s'Museum. D'Tour isch wie sich usestellt nume in Spanisch, was es bitzeli e grossi Enttüschig isch. Ich versto zwar bitz öpis aber sehr viel Informatione blibed ned hange und glaube sie verzellt allgemein ned soo viel. Wasi weiss: Grundstei sind vermuetli öppe 900 v.Chr. vom Volk Cañar gleit worde. Spöter hend d'Inka d'Alag überno und usgwiited, was a de verschiedene verbaute Steiarte z'erkenne isch. Bestandteil sind es Observatorium, es Getreidelager, Sohnflächi und en Turm. Für was genau di ganz Alag dient hät, weissmer bis hüt no ned. Ja und viel meh weissi denn scho nüm - janu ^^ Ufeme chline Rundgang nebed de Ruine gits na anderi Sache z'gseh, wie zum Bispiel d'Felsformation "Cara del Inca" und mit bitz Fantasie chamer würkli es Gsicht erkenne. Au uf de Retourfahrt dösi wider bitz und chume mitem Sunneuntergang zeme wider z'Cuenca a. Im Hostel muesi mi endli mal wider um Wösch kümmere. Dankemene Zwinkere an Mitarbeiter machters denn au gratis 🙈 Dasmer sini Wösch abgit und suuber zruggüberchunnt isch da normal :) Denn findi use, dasi d'Reis ad Küste für min negste Stop besser dur de Tag als ide Nacht mache wil mer mues in Guayaquil umstiege und die Stadt isch ned eifach nume es bitz kriminell sondern grössteteil würkli gföhrlich wils de Hauptumschlagpunkt vode aktuell grösser werdende Mafia und Drogeszene isch. Di meiste Touris und so au ich verbringed höchstens es paar Stunde dete zum umstiege oder en Flug verwütsche... Whatever, uf jede Fall hani denn am Obig na mitem Paul vo Cotopaxi abgmacht uf es Znacht. Mir sueched und finded e Pizzeria und hend en lustige Obig. Mitem Esse bin ich super glücklich aber de Paul chunnt es bitz e chlini Portion Pasta über und isch apisst. Verständlich, mir zahled defintiiv gnueg defür aber ich mag eh ned di ganz Pizza also gohts wider uf ^^ Aschlüssend gits en chline Verdauigsspaziergang ide Stadt und schliessli gheii super müed is Bett und schlofe ewigs lang und super guet :)Baca selengkapnya

      On the way down to Cuenca we stopped for a night at Ingapirca, an archilogical site. Although we spent the previous day and noon a cloud we woke to a glorious morning and we could see the amazing ruins spread out in front of us.

      There was an English speaking guide included in the $2 entrance fee (I love Ecuador!) and it really brought the place alive.

      It was originally settled by the Cañari people, who worshipped the moon and made their buildings out of river stones. Then along came the Incans, and usually for this part of the world there wasn't a lot of bloodshed and both lived happily alongside each other. The Incans worshipped the sun, so built a sun temple mirroring the moon one at the other end of the site.

      The Incans have incredible stone working skills and made there walls by making the rocks fit perfectly together, negating the need for any mortar. Their architectural skills where also amazing - they built 4 recesses into the walls which housed golden statues and each one lit up on a solstice or key date. This then dictated everything about daily life, from planting to harvesting and even when to wash your clothes. Our guide still believes that if you wash clothes more than 5 days after the new moon they will wear out much quicker!      Baca selengkapnya

      Very early in the morning we left Guayaquil for Ingapirca. Ingapirca is the most important Inca site in Ecuador.
      The exact purpose of the site, which was called a "castle" (castillo) by the Spanish chroniclers of the Conquista, is still not deciphered.

      I was surprised by the fauna in Ecuador - pampas grass 🌾and eucalyptus grow everywhere. And I saw wild Lamas 🦙 for the first time.

      We continued our ride to Cuenca.
      Cuenca is located at an altitude of 2,538 meters above sea level and has a population of approximately 580k. It is located in a valley formed by mountainous systems of exceptional characteristics.
      The architectural and cultural riches of the city, in general, have merited Cuenca its designation as a World Heritage City on December 1, 1999. The Historic Center of nearly 200 hectares is made up of the oldest residential area. Here we find a large number of buildings of great beauty in the colonial or Republican style; the archaeological area, the craft neighborhoods (of colonial origin); the central markets; the Tomebamba River Bluff with the Paseo 3 de Noviembre street and several other sites of cultural and scenic importance that show why the city was declared a World Heritage.       I decided it would be a good way to spend the new year by visiting some Incan Ruins. The ruins at Ingapirca are the largest of its kind in Ecuador and the most northern on the Incan trail. While Ecuador is not known for its ruins as much as Peru this site was still important the expansion of the Incan empire. It was most likely built as stop along the trail for the Incan military to restock supplies and rest up.

      I arrived in the late afternoon and it was covered in fife hoc really added to the effect and made it quite cool. You need to enter with a guide but besides her and a family from Riobamba we were the only ones.

      The Incans built on top of the site of the Cañari people who originally lived there and still do. Remains of their oval structures could be seen below the trapezoidal structures of the Incans. You could see the remains of many buildings, storage places for grain, their medicinal gardens and on top of it all the Temple of the Sun. This was built in accordance to the movement of the sun and on each Equinox was designed so the sun would shine through the door onto a special stone where they might have their offerings or sacrifices for the gods.

      The stone work was amazing and perfectly cut so that no holes existed between the stones. Around you could find stones with turtles, Suns and Snakes carved into them. Not far was a bathing complex carved into stone. And even a natural cliff that looked like a face (supposedly an Incan farmer).

      Eventually the Spanish took their land with the help of the Cañari people who were still not happy the Incans had taken theirs.      Baca selengkapnya

      Ingapirca - Inkastätte in den Anden

      Heute früh sind wir von Cuenca nach Ingapirca, wo sich die größte Inkastätte Ecuadors befindet, aufgebrochen.
      Nach einer zweieinhalb stündigen waghalsigen Busfahrt durch die Anden, erreichten wir das kleine Örtchen Ingapirca. Von dort aus war die Stätte fußläufig zu erreichen. Diese durfte nur anhand einer Führung erkundet werden und so kamen wir in den Genuss einer englischsprachigen Privatführung, da außer uns keine ausländischen Gäste vor Ort waren.
      Hier erfuhren wir, dass die Stätte zunächst von den Cañari erbaut worden war. Als die Inca kamen, bekämpften sich die beiden Völker bis sie schließlich Frieden schlossen und beide das Gebiet der Stätte besiedelten. So steht hier unter anderem auch ein Sonnentempel der Inca.
      Der Frieden hielt jedoch nicht lange und schon drei Jahrzehnte später nahmen die Spanier den Komplex für sich ein.
      Mit unserem Guide tauschten wir uns jedoch vor allem über das Wichtigste kulturelle Gut aus: Essen. Er fragte uns nach deutschen Früchten und Essen und erzählte uns, was wir noch alles von der großartigen ecuadorianischen Küche probieren sollten.
      Nach der Tour gingen wir einen Rundweg in der grünen Kulisse der Anden, wo wir an einem in Fels geschlagenen Gesicht eines Inca und vielen Kühen vorbeikamen.
      Abschließend aßen wir noch zum ersten Mal Mote Pillo, weißer Mais mit Ei und tranken dazu Chicha, bevor wir uns stehend im Bus bei rasanter Fahrt wieder auf den Heimweg nach Cuenca machten.      Baca selengkapnya
