Late arrival in Bogota. Heavy rain. Taxi to hotel, not much to do.
Another rainy day. A little bit shopping for food. Got a SIM card.
Rain arrives in the afternoon like clockwork. Today it began after I checked in and had a lunch. Good timing. Nice little town, famous for its "Salt Cathedral" (did not go).
Highway quite busy with big rigs. Heavy rain makes side roads risky. Today it arrived just minutes before I could reach my destination.
Nice day with no rain, lots of good views. A 1000m descent and on good surface with reasonable shoulder. Less traffic and many small towns and farms dotting the scenery.
Sun, fog, rain with a 1300m climb and a 2000m descent. Traffic was light. Road had many short rough sections.
Another 1000m descent into the plains, with nice views. Sunny and warm. Had to negotiate two landslides on the way down. No rain today.
A very hot and long day, crossing the Rio Magdalena, largest river in Colombia. Ended up gaining 1000m. Lots of roadworks.
Short ride along Rio Nus with many ups and downs. Sugarcane plantations. Hot day towards the end.
Nice day with overcast skies which kept the sun in check. More sugarcane fields. Waterfalls. Old highway section had almost no traffic. Missed the exit and did 20km more than intended.
