    Amman 1

    December 4, 2019 in Jordan ⋅ ☀️ 14 °C

Read more

    Amman 2

    December 5, 2019 in Jordan ⋅ ☀️ 15 °C

Read more

    Last supper in Amman

    November 19, 2018 in Jordan ⋅ 🌙 13 °C

The drive from Ajlun back to the hotel takes one hour and a half, but I barely notice it as I fall asleep straight away. We only have one hour to get ready before we leave for dinner, but Michael and two girls from the group ask me to bring them to yesterday's bakery. Apparently the rumour (i.e. our pictures) spread...
By the time we come back to the hotel it's already time to leave: since we missed one night in the hotel and one tour day, our travel agency will "compensate" us with a dinner in a fancy restaurant. Let's see if it's worth it...

It takes half an hour to reach our destination, but the restaurant looks really exclusive... at least judging by the way local guests are dressed.
I sit with Colin and Veronika, but then two Romanian ladies join us and they turn out to be quite nice.
As usual we get a buffet with delicious local specialties and then we get to try the Om Ali, a delicious kind of bread pudding with coconut milk and cinnamon.

After dinner we have two options: we can either stay in the restaurant smoking shisha or go to the shopping mall across the street. Neither of the two options sounds too exciting, but in the end I opt for a walk in the mall. As soon as I set foot into the building I am welcomed by a gigantic poster of AC Milan... It must faith!

At 10pm we head back to the hotel, because we need to pack our stuff. Tomorrow we are leaving Amman to go to one of the most awaited attractions of this tour: Petra!
