Did both the East and West Macs this time also getting to Hermannsburg for the first time.
Detoured off the main road to visit Gemtree. Did the zircon fossicking tour which was quite disappointing but we did find a small bag of zircons. Unfortunately only one is worth cutting. Did a campLes mer

Just a short stop at Mt Isa, 2 nights. The Underground Hospital was really good as was our drive out to Lake Moondarra.
Planned to stay here for 2 or 3 nights but unfortunately I tripped over whilst going for a walk and hurt my arm. Visited Mt Isa Hospital and they confirmed a broken elbow. Had another video appt withLes mer
Definitely one of our favourite places….so much bird life. Lots of water here still after the floods some time back, perfect for the water lilies which were just superb.
It’s drizzled most days of our time up here, one week Malanda, one week Yungaburra and one week at Kuranda. Very annoying at times but really great for the waterfalls.
