Merida

Arrived at 1pm in cancun. By the time i got through customs and got my rental car, it was 2pm and then drove 4 hours straight to the lovely town of Merida in the center of Yucatan state.

Slept in a little bit and then drove an hour to san ignacio cenote. Most of that hour was just trying to get out of merida - what a chaotic city.

Started the day with a 90 minute drive to famous chichen itza. The crowds and lineups to get in were awful. The main pyramid is gorgeous but compared to other ancient mayan sites i have been to, theWeiterlesen
Started the day with a short drive to Hacienda Oxman to swim in their cenote. Another really deep cenote and long roots and vines hanging all the way down from the ground level high above.
