Yeah, the borders are open so we are driving to Queensland.
The 1st week is relaxing atTangalooma 2nd week catch up with friends in Brisbane. Then off to Hope Island again to catch up with friends. 3rd week is Surfers also catching up with friends. Okumaya devam et

We are home now all unpacked and ready to plan our next adventure. Stay tuned it could be you we visit next.

We enjoyed our holiday and catching up with friends but now back to reality.

Although we are going to Wollongong for the weekend to celebrate Hilda's birthday.

Morning tea at Heatherbrae Pies and purchase of some pies for dinner our last stop before home.

Back on the road oh no a 10 min wait as Hexham Bridge was raised to let a invisible mystery boat go through.

Gezgin I left you out a chicken roast for a nice but easy home cooked meal on your arrival! I even stocked the freezer with some pies. Oh well. Plenty to eat so you don’t have to go shopping straight away.

Home here we come

Last night we walked into town for dinner. It was about 8 min into town for a OK dinner then back to our Hotel.

Well what can I say about last night's sleep. Oh wait not much sleep, dogs barking, next door's TV going all hours of the morning, no block out curtains so it was like trying to sleep in the middle of the day as there is an outside light which does not turn off. John slept well throughout this so he is refreshed for the drive home. Hence packed, breakfast, check out and on the road by 8.30.Okumaya devam et

We have arrived on Port Macquarie for the night.

Not much to report today as we were driving all day.

Surfers to Ballina for morning tea and change of driver.

Ballina to Coffs Harbour to collect the clothes I left on our way to Qld. Then to the shopping precinct for lunch and again change driver.

Now in our Hotel very basic, I think it was Motel before change of branding to Ibis. They upgraded us to a spa suite which one would think yeh except you need a ladder to get into the spa bath for a shower. The TV is huge and apparently has Netflix but not working someone on there way to check. The location is great though Just across from the water and a short walk into town.Okumaya devam et

Leaving Queensland

Our holiday is nearly over.

We are leaving Surfers this morning and heading home. We will stay overnight in Port Macquarie.

We have had a wonderful time catching up with friends, taking in the sunshine laying poolside or on the beach, reading and being a tourist.

Goodbye Queensland I am sure we will catch up again in the near future.Okumaya devam et

Gezgin I am glad you had a relaxing time. We have a big house to unpack here which needs a bit of work! We are going to need some help!! You will be heading back to Queensland to escape after a few days with us!

Pancakes on the Rocks

Dinner at Pancakes on the Rocks as the weather is not very nice and it is in our Hotel complex.

We can celebrate John's Birthday when back in Sydney.

Last night we had a lovely dinner and catch up with David and Anita.

The weather today was not great so we went for a drive to Broadbeach. Broadbeach is very nice so much better than Surfers.

After a walk around and morning tea it was back in the car to drive to the Harbourtown Outlets.

Heaps of shops and worth the drive. After a few purchases it was time for lunch. Heaps of places to choose but we went with Asian.

Back at the Hotel working out a place for dinner. We selected Pancakes on the Rocks because it is close to our Hotel. We need to pack later tonight as it is our last day in Queensland.Okumaya devam et

Walk along the Beach

A lovely walk along the beach the sand is really soft which makes it hard to walk in until down near the water. The tide is going out so very easy to walk. Lots of shells and small stones along the way.

Relaxing Poolside

Today is a lovely day for relaxation by the pool.

Sun shining, sun lounge and a book is all you need.

We even had morning tea in the pool area before it was time for a swim. The water, once in, was very nice.

One issue with this pool is that the Hotel is so tall that by lunch time the whole area is covered in shade. This means pack up and upstairs for lunch.

Our room was not ready so we walked to Cavill Ave which is basically right outside our Hotel for a coffee. Not many places to go for coffee, it is really run down and dead. Finally, somewhere for a coffee we then continued our walk looking in those shops which were actually open.

It was now lunch time and still no word on our room but we did have use of the facilities. So we went to Woolworths for a few basics and then went to The Hotel's "Secret Garden" and ate some lunch and read a magazine as well as playing my decorating game.

Now 2 o'clock and our room is ready. Up to the 31st floor and our room is lovely. A quick unpack and a load of washing. Then back to Cavill Ave for groceries for the remainder of the week.

Now to catch up on some computer work and then relax and I will say it again relax.Okumaya devam et
