Just a few quick pictures snapped as we familiarise ourselves with the city on our first day there.
On the way along the western coast this morning.
The clouds were wispy and low, it all felt a bit surreal, especially over these white sand and turquoise waters.
On the other side of the bay from Hout, is Chapman's peak, that my late grandmother loved so much that she asked her ashes to be sunk in the water at the foot of the peak.

The weather was not supposed to be good enough to check out table mountain today, but we had done so much already in our jetlag state, that we just decided to see how bad the queues were.

The clouds were dancing up and around the side of the mountain, but soon disappeared to give us incredible views...
The rocks on Table mountain are rugged, carved by the winds, covered in lichen.
I actually have vivid memories of playing amongst them as a child, amazed at the abundance of lizards. The views held noLeer más
Despite the ruggedness, the top of the mountain is covered in hardy plants and flowers. We are in late summer, now, so it is not as colorful as supporting, but still some pretty flowers...
