Dubrovnik Tandem Bike Cruise

Another amazing route! Just out of the harbor, there was a hairpin, gravelly turn I managed like a pro and felt proud for miles. The rout was 26 miles, 2600 ft climbing up the old donkey trail lined with fig, olive, pear and pomegranate trees among the steep-hilled vineyards. Gardens, tile roofs, old abandoned churches along the cliffs and the blue sea with green lagoons below.
After a long climb, we rode through the tunnel that Bill endearingly calls the “donkey hole.” More ascents, exciting descents with breathtaking views.
Near the end, a biker crashes right behind us so I stopped to stop the bleed and hold c spine until the ambulance came. She will be okay. We road on to one of the most famous winemaker’s vineyards, Grgic Vina where we were graciously received with prosciutto, cheese, olives and of course, really good wine. All aboard at 1230, it’s time for lunch and a nap while we travel to our next destination.Les mer
