For our final night we had a lovely meal at the Watergate Restaurant in Port Douglas. A fitting place to enjoy our last meal with a bottle of Champagne, and to remember the adventures we had duringLes mer
Our final day could not have been spent in a better place. A major bucket-list tick-off. The Great Barrier Reef.
The trip out was a bumpy ride, with many of the passengers getting sea sick, but atLes mer
We finally arrived at our northern most point of the trip, where the rain forest meets the coral, Cape Tribulation.

A trip down the Daintree River in the hope of seeing wild crocodiles, but the best we got a a baby croc sitting on a branch, the biggies were nowhere to be seen.

Next it was back into the rain forest, this time in far north Queensland. First stop was Mossman Gorge, which was dug out by the Mossman river.
Our final base for the trip was Port Douglas, in far north Queensland. This leg of the trip was seen as just an add-on with neither of us expecting too much. But once again, Australia delivered.

After driving around Brisbane and out to the rain forest earlier in the holiday, we decided to take another road-trip, this time around Hamilton Island in a golf buggy.

Hamilton Island gave us our only real chance to stop and relax during the trip, which we fully took advantage of. Spending time down by the pool and on the beach.
