    Frutillar im Regen

    February 17, 2017 in Chile ⋅ ☁️ 13 °C

    Spontaner Abstecher in Frutillar.
Read more

    Espantapájaro Restaurant

    December 30, 2017 in Chile ⋅ ⛅ 17 °C

Our next stop was at Espantapájaro Restaurant. We were passing by when we saw some llamas grazing along the road. There seemed to a lookout point as well. Its only after we stopped that we realized that it was a restaurant run by a German family. They had a lovely garden and place to sit and eat outside. From here we could see the lake Llanquihue and the Osorno volcano. They were rearing Llamas near the restaurant. A lovely place to stop and have a break.Read more

    Flowes at Espantapájaro Restaurant

    December 30, 2017 in Chile ⋅ ⛅ 17 °C

The lawns of the restaurant were very neat and clean. They even had a pathway built with stones and rocks of various textures and hardness. This was a walkway of wellness according to the boards there. Somehow the different textures and hardness when walked upon barefoot would be beneficial for health. The garden was full of beautiful flowers of various colors. We stopped for a about 10-15 minutes before leaving. Just outside the restaurant, there were kids selling fresh strawberry. María went and bought some from them. They were so excited. We sat and ate the delicious strawberries before heading further.Read more

    Frutillar town

    December 30, 2017 in Chile ⋅ ⛅ 16 °C

We reached Frutillar town by about 6:30 pm. The town is associated with music since they have a big music theater right on the shores of the lake Llanquihue. There were posts and decorations all somehow associated with music, everywhere. We parked near the beach and walked along the lake promenade.Read more

    Frutillar, Patagonien, Chile

    February 12, 2017 in Chile ⋅ ☀️ 20 °C

Read more

    Wow, wie beeindruckend!

We're really enjoying your snapshots. We recognize some of the spots from our 2014 Mariner cruise. Looks COLD!

Read more

    Frutillar Bajo

    February 3, 2018 in Chile ⋅ ⛅ 21 °C

After a disappointing visit to Llanquihue we decided to check out the Fiesta de Las cervezas in Frutillar.
That turned out to be not that cool after all and instead of hanging around we decided to head to Frutillar Bajo that is by the lakeside.
It's really pleasant little place with view of four different volcanoes.
The beach was full of people with plenty of them swimming on the lake. Further on the lake were yachts and windsurfers.
With the beautiful sunny weather we caught here it was picture perfect.
There is really nice pier and the southenmost opera house in the world.
We took a stroll along the beach and visited summer food festival.
