Osaka CastleOctober 13 in Japan
An easy day today as we strolled the surrounds of Osaka castle. We did go inside the castle, though neither Mik or I realised it was a museum inside. We realised in hindsight that we should have bought tickets to see the surrounding turrets and buildings, which would have given us a view of castle life in feudal Japan. Nonetheless, the museum aspect of the castle was very fascinating and interesting.
The rest of the day was spent walking the Dotonbori area again, finishing with a very much needed bowl of ramen. The novelty factor of having to stand at the counter to eat was a winner for the girls but the smells coming from the stall had already tempted Mik and I the night before. We all enjoyed standing at the stall to eat our noodles, so much so that Adeline has requested to have another bowl (she usually says no to ramen!).Read more
