Weathering the Storm at Plimmerton

Finally got away from work at about 3.30pm. The phone has been handed over, email switched off and we're parked up at Plimmerton for the night ahead of what will probably be a rough crossing tomorrow.

After a cold night last night it was a bit of a scorcher in the sunshine at Akaroa. Love the French vibe - different to anywhere else in NZ. Moving on tomorrow...
Spent the day exploring Tekapo - saw the Church of the Good Shepherd, the Memorial to the early settlers and spent some time on the lakeshore. Karin and Dave wimped out of a swim. Can't say I blameLeggi altro

Big day but best track and views so far. The photos don't show how high, narrow and winding the track was going around the Benmore dam, nor the lack of safety barriers - you just had to be careful.Leggi altro

Went for a wander around the city today - the highlight was Olveston House where Pam played the 120yr old Steinway grand piano for the group on our tour. If you're in Dunedin this is a must see. WhenLeggi altro
