    Paniq & Kiss

    November 13, 2022 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 12 °C

    Today was a great day!
We did an escape room which was really fun. We didn't escape but we were REALLY close. The theme was a casino heist and it was such a fun time. Highly recommend!!!

While at The Palazzo, we took pics at the LOVE sculpture because..... rules😂😂🤷🏽‍♀️

After we left there, we went over to the Rio and had a great time at Kiss by Monster Mini Golf. This is mini golf that's very Kiss themed. All the Kiss paraphernalia, videos and the decor was lots of fun to be in. Plus Kiss playing (though we didn't hear any smash hits) and the videos was an extra bit of wacky fun.

After these fun activities, we had dinner at Smashburger. The burger was great but the Smashtots with rosemary and garlic oil were amazing.

When we got back to the hotel, Kyle and I called it a night. Mom opted to hang out at a bar.

Tomorrow should be fun. It'll be the last day mom will be with us and there's a lot of things on the itinerary. Can't wait!

Flamingos, the Circus, Bonanza and more!

    November 14, 2022 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 13 °C

Today was a busy one, and then some!

After grabbing something to eat, we went to The Flamingo to check out the wildlife habitat. While there were other animals there, the flamingos weren't out because of an avian flu scare. However, the habitat itself was really nice.

Our next stop was at Circus Circus where we took in a quick circus act. This one was Penelope with hula-hoops on the slack wire. She was great.

Then as tradition states, we made a stop at Bonanza. It's mandatory on every Vegas trip, lol. I picked up a couple of souvenirs and mom got some t-shirts for herself and a friend.

Continuing up Las Vegas Blvd, we headed into downtown. We stopped by The Golden Nugget and checked out The Hand of Faith which is a 61 lb gold nugget that was found in Australia and is currently the largest nugget of gold on display.
After having a couple of cocktails, we walked over to Fremont Street for mom and Kyle to take on the Slotzilla zipline. I thought for sure mom would chicken out but she surprised me by going through with it. And according to her (and Kyle) it was an awesome experience.

By this time, we were starving so dinner was perfectly in order and Maggiano's was amazing as always.🤤

Our last stop was The High Roller and I was looking forward to ending the night on a high note (pun intended) though I had no idea just how much of a high it was gonna be.
We booked the bar car for their "Halfy Hour" which is open bar for the beautiful 30 minute ride. Apparently, I had no idea how beautiful the ride was gonna get because before I knew it, Kyle was on bended knee proposing!😮💍💙💙💙

This was our last day with mom, so needless to say, the entire day/event/experience was extra special☺️

Kyle and I still have lots of fun things planned, but I can't think of anything that could top being proposed to 550ft up with the dazzling lights of Las Vegas in the background, PUN INTENDED!!

    Nothing much

    November 15, 2022 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 14 °C

Today was just chill. We got something to eat at a new (to us) place and it was great. After a quick stop for some provisions, we stopped by Carlo's Bakery at The Venetian. As usual, I got the cannolis and Kyle got the strawberry cheesecake this time. The cannolis are always delicious but the strawberry on top of the cheesecake had this amazing glaze on it that took strawberries to a whole new level. And the cheesecake itself was melt in your mouth delicious.

Before heading back to the hotel, we made a quick stop at one of the crossover bridges. We were actually supposed to go elsewhere for a unique and interesting view of the Strip, but the access was no longer available, so we settled for the bridge. Still beautiful, but not as breathtaking as it could have been.
Regardless, with it being Golden Hour, the sunlight hits the buildings in just the right way, that The Strip looks like it's glowing. I love it and it just adds to the reasons why I love Las Vegas so much.

    Omega Mart

    November 16, 2022 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 15 °C

After a good brunch we headed over to Area15 and Omega Mart.

The Omega Mart part of the experience feels like some demented Stepford wife type supermarket then you take a turn down a path and your in some kind of mystical world with textured colour changing walls. Or you enter a room with lasers that make sounds when you interrupt them. And so much more!! 🤩 It was really cool. And honestly, the pictures (and videos) don't really do it justice. It was a really great day.

We ended the experience at their bar and both partook in a drink called Happle Juice, which was delicious on its own, but came with a "buzz button" flower bud that was supposed to be eaten with the drink. This was one of the strangest experiences EVER!! Kyle was laughing at me as I was going through it because it leaves you very confused and unsure what to feel. When he tried it, he completely understood why I felt that way. While it was slightly disturbing, overall it was a hilarious and fun experience. Which I suppose is on brand for Omega Mart, lol😂😂

    Core Memories Created

    November 17, 2022 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 16 °C

Today was a really nice day.

It took me longer to get ready today and I missed the breakfast special I had originally planned for us. My fiancé, ever the resourceful one, found JaBurrito and it was such a great choice!! If I had the space, I would have totally gotten another one. It was sooooo delicious🤤🤤

After that we walked over to The Bellagio but we were early for the fountains (they seem to change the schedule all the time. I remember a time when it would go all day and night). Since we had some time to kill we headed over to The Tipsy Robot which seemed to be a little extra tipsy for us, lol. It took forever to make my drink and then it fucked up Kyle's drink. It fucked up so bad that the attendant had to use a grabbing tool to get the drink AND it was made incorrectly. The attendant had to have it re-made. Good thing is, FREE EXTRA DRINK!

After those cocktails, we got back to the fountains just in time. This show was extra special since it was the first one of the day, it included the US National anthem followed by another song that was so beautiful, it nearly brought Kyle to tears. And he's not one who's easy to cry. Overall it was so amazing and breathtaking and beautiful and definitely getting added to the core memories. Having that moment with the love of my life, while wearing my engagement ring and feeling that love will forever be etched in my mind☺️

After taking a few pics (and pretending we were actually in Paris, lol) we headed over to The Strat for happy hour drinks and snacks and to catch sunset over The Strip. Then we watched as the lights of The Strip dazzled and mesmerized our eyes. I never get tired of this view. I could sit and watch for hours. And that's just what we did until the drinks started to kick in and we headed back to our hotel.

Such a beautiful day with the most romantic ending.🥰

    Winding Down

    November 18, 2022 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 15 °C

Today was all about enjoying what we could for the last time, until the next time.

We had brunch at one of our favourite places and Tish might have gotten a bit drunkity-drunk-drunk. It certainly made the trip back to the hotel interesting, lol. In any event, we didn't have much else planned, so I had time to sleep off the booze before dinner.

Maggiano's was so amazing for dinner. We got a beautiful and romantic booth and the meal was delicious as always. Kyle got his usual but this time, I tried something different. Despite being full and not being able to take another bite, I just couldn't help eating more. I could see why their rigatoni had such a great reputation. Mmmmmm,🤤🤤🤤

After dinner we went to the observation deck of Paris' Eiffel tower. This worked out REALLY well because we got up there just in time to catch the Bellagio fountains. We couldn't hear the music from where we were, but the aerial view of the fountains was still absolutely spectacular!✨✨🤩

With it being as cold as it was, we didn't stay up there long. Definitely worth another trip up but for this one, we had to cut it short. A few pictures later we were back on the Strip and heading back to the hotel.

I originally planned on packing and then going to bed but by the time I got back, I opted to just go to sleep and wake up earlier to get packed.
Knowing that the fantasy will be over in one more sleep, always makes it so tough to get a good night's rest.

    That's All Folks

    November 19, 2022 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 15 °C

Well, it's another one for the books.

This was the best trip to Las Vegas I've had in a very long time. I ALWAYS enjoy myself when I come to Vegas but this one was particularly exceptional. Getting to spend these precious moments with my new fiancé knowing that these are the first steps into our new life together is so special.

I didn't think there was anything that could top an open bar, 550ft above the twinkling lights of The Strip but seeing your boyfriend down on bended knee with a diamond ring in hand DEFINITELY takes the cake! And everything after that was just gravy!

I'm truly lucky and incredibly blessed. I'm happy beyond words and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with my Soulmate and dream come true.

I love you so much Kyle!

    Viva Las Vegas!!
Via Con Dios, until next time!
